was a very cozy and comfy place to stay. wasn't to far away from the bigger citys so it was easier to do things. 10/10 would stay again

Anthony was a great host. He made sure we had all we needed. He was very responsive. The home was clean and huge. The area was safe feeling. I would definitely stay here again.

Jessica's home is perfect. The house was spotless with wonderful white cotton linens. The house is open and airy and very comfortable with spectacular views of the river. We really enjoyed fishing off the pier. We prepared most of our meals at the house and had everything we needed right there. It is such a beautiful setting we didn't want to leave. We did venture out a few afternoons to shop in Kilmarnock and Warsaw. Both were an easy drive from the house. Jessica was an excellent host and contacted us upon arrival to be sure we had everything we needed and to see if we had any questions. This was our absolute favorite air bnb stay and we hope to return again soon.

This property is incredible. The home is extremely clean and comfortable. The photos do not do this Airbnb justice. We had a great time at the Moss Side Cottage. If we are ever in this area again, we will definitely try to stay here again.

We loved staying at John's place, especially hanging out on the screened-in and open decks in the back of the house facing the water. Beautiful view, quiet, and very peaceful. We also had plenty of room to spread out and the kitchen was well-appointed.

We had 6 in our party and could have easily had 10 with plenty of room to wander. We ran out of time to enjoy all the amenities of the property. Great for a getaway! Host was very responsive and available.

Very nice. The space was very charming, amenities were great, well - appointed spaces, including the outdoor deck area with ambiance, cushioned seating for two, charcoal grill and the perfect sized propane fire pit 😊 win-win!

Perfect getaway for rest, relaxation and fun! Kayaks were fun, too breezy and chilly waters for paddle boarding, maybe next time! Beautiful location! Clean and comfortable, felt like home!

T’s place was absolute perfection! It was beautiful, tastefully decorated and the homemade muffins and cookies were amazing! She and John were so lovely and accommodating. Relaxing on the dock on the river was a sublime experience as well! I really can’t say enough about my time spent there and if I’m ever in the area again I will definitely be staying at T’s! Why would you stay anywhere else!?

The home is sweet, comfortable, and well-stocked. It is a bit of a drive to town and most of the food options, but the tradeoff is peace, quiet, and lovely river views. My co-worker and I stayed here for a work trip, but both remarked that we would love to come back and stay here for a restful vacation!

House and ground were beautiful! The vast estate was very well manicured and well kept. It was a unique house being 160 years old and having the kitchen in a separate house but did enjoy the time era furniture. House had been updated and was done well. Fireplaces in all rooms was awesome even though we only used the one in the kitchen as the pilot light wasn’t lit in the others. House had all of the items needed for a vacation and we would go back in the future if we are in the area.

We had a great time at Nicholas and Dana's place! It was both fun and relaxing. We really enjoyed the little beach, the dock and the kayaks. We caught some catfish and one tiny crab in the crab trap (and threw everything back in). It was nice to have the firepit and hot tub to use too. And, the kids really liked being downstairs in their own space. The only issues were that the key pad wasn't working to get in to the front door which was frustrating after a long drive and the grill was very slow to heat up and probably needs to be replaced. Overall, this home was a really good choice for us and we would stay again when visiting family in the area.

We had a wonderful time! The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful and relaxing—perfect for unwinding, even on the rainy days we had. The space was beautiful, cozy and calm. Gina was a great host—very responsive and proactive in checking in to make sure everything was going well.

Words cannot describe how wonderful our stay was. The location, the accommodations, and the ‘residents’ of Grateful Meadows were absolutely magical. We really enjoyed our time there, and are extremely thankful we found it. Such a great experience, thank you!

We had an unforgettable time at Paige's one-of-a-kind house on the Chesapeake. Her home is spacious, warm, spotless and full of charm, with unique art pieces and a most thoughtful library collection--from women rock stars to the mushroom kingdom. The chef’s kitchen was a dream, and the edible garden added a fun, fresh element to our meals. The private pier on the Chesapeake River offered serene views, crabbing, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding (had the whole river to ourselves) while the rural setting was a perfect escape from big city life for adults and kids. Highly, highly recommend Paige's for anyone looking for a peaceful, creative retreat! Thank you again Paige!!

This was the perfect spot for our wedding anniversary—quiet, private (no neighbors in sight), and surrounded by nature with a grocery store nearby. The sauna was a 10/10. It rained, so we skipped the firepit, but the string lights were a nice touch. The hot tub was a bit cloudy, but we didn’t address it after a (thankfully injury-free) car accident in Richmond. The cold plunge wasn’t filled—it didn’t work out for us to have time to prep it, but I would’ve loved to try it if it had been ready. The house was beautiful, spacious, and comfortable with plenty of towels, dishes, and thoughtful touches like snacks, coffee/tea, and streaming access. A few extras—like a flat sheet on the bed, bottled water, or a robe for walking to/from the sauna—could’ve added a bit more value. Overall, a peaceful and relaxing escape!

Had an amazing time staying here. The place was extremely clean and very peaceful and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking equipment and spices. Beautiful backyard and the hot tub was the best part.

We enjoyed our stay in this newly renovated home. Well equipped kitchen. Super appreciated the pet friendliness. Mara was communicative, flexible and not overbearing. Good stay!
