Staying here was a very friendly and homely experience. The hosts welcomed us personally and were very lovely. They cooked us an incredible breakfast, which we couldn't believe the size of! Overall, this was a home from home.

I enjoyed my stay at Genki House. Yuki is very friendly and bakes really tasty bread. The accommodation is very large and clean. It is in a quiet neighborhood away from the touristed areas. You should ask to pick up groceries/food/anything else you might need before arriving to the Genki House.

We had an amazing time staying in this authentic Japanese traditional house that blends classic charm with modern comforts. The place was really clean and well kept, and you can tell Xian Jie, the owner pays attention to all the little things, which made it feel really cozy. The best part was definitely the brand-new private onsen—such a nice way to relax and made the trip way better. I highly recommend this place, and strongly suggest booking the optional dinner and breakfast to fully enjoy the authentic Japanese hospitality and cuisine made with local ingredients. This stay offers a perfect blend of tradition, comfort, and luxury for an unforgettable experience. Thumbs up👍

We stayed for a couple of nights at Genchiros’s place to complete the Koyasan Choishi-Michi trail. I have to say this was one of the most enjoyable stays on our trip to Japan thanks to Genchiro, who provides homely experience to travallers coming to stay in his little house. The location of the house is ideal to feel peaceful before any hikes or activities you want to do in the area. Koyaguchi is a beautiful place to be on its own and the little house is a reflection of the beauty this place holds. Inside the house you will find everything you might need during your stay and Genchiro cares enough to explain how to use all the things in the house in great detail, so its easy for you as a guest to feel at home.
