Dunlop is only 1/2 hour drive to some of Ayrshires top golf courses. The train takes less than 30 mins to Glasgow city centre. The village has a community pub, a community cafe(open Thursdays and Fridays for morning coffee and lunch. A newsagent, post office/ shop and an Artisan Bakery ( openThursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.) A new craft shop has also recently opened next door to our home. The nearest supermarket is 10 mins. drive away.

I stayed for 2 nights at this beautiful cottage in Ayr on my first ever visit to Scotland. Very cozy, peaceful and economical place. Jean was very friendly and helpful with her detailed instructions to locate the house and flexible with my check in timing. Really loved the breakfast items, guide book for local restaurants and pubs. Very thoughtful. Highly recommended place.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful Lodge. The Lodge itself was exactly as it is pictured and exceeded our expectations. The views were incredible and we would love to come back and stay again. A truly lovely weekend break.

Fantastic stay at Caroline & Frank's place - definitely a WOW moment as we stepped through the front door! 4 large en-suite bedrooms ideal for our 4 couple group (3 family generations aged 24-80), beds mega comfortable. Bright & spacious living room with well stocked board games cupboard (loved the seats in the windows), separate dining room, kitchen has everything you need for self-catering. Beautiful patio & garden area with a tennis court which my 80 year old Dad loved as he hadn't held a tennis racket in decades. Short drive to Troon, plenty of restaurants & tourist attractions in the surrounding area. Highly recommend and hope to be back at some point !

We arrived to a very clean and welcoming house. There was homemade bread and shortbread on the counter, homemade jam, milk and butter in the fridge (such a lovely touch!). All rooms en-suite. Only feedback would be to sort out the showers. Two of four were hanging limp, so had to hold (not so easy for washing hair!). Otherwise a great stay, would recommend.

A small closet space features a light-colored wall with a hook rack positioned above a foldable wooden table. Two white hangers dangle from the hooks, and a wooden rod is placed beside the table. The floor is covered in grey carpeting.

James Place was very nice and suited the needs of my trip, which was to see The Open Championship and explore Glasgow. It was a great location for doing both things in wanted to do. James was very responsive to all my questions, and was a very nice host.

Great place to stay. Very quiet. Marion is a lovely host and went out her way to leave special touches like plenty bottled water and tea & coffee facilities in the room. She also messaged ahead of arrival which was great. Would definitely stay again.

Alina was a great host. She was in regular contact with us, to make sure everything was ok. The personal check-in was a lovely touch. Alina also provided travel adapters and cables to charge our devices, which we found very thoughtful. The flat was immaculate and had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay here and we would highly recommend Alina as a host.
