Greenshadows - a detached 16th-century Scottish cottage fronting River Leny with views of Ben Ledi in the heart of the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. The house has a rich history. Locally called ‘The Pink House’, it was a safe haven during the Jacobite uprising. The author of ‘The Junglebook’ is thought to have resided at Greenshadows for a short period. Of note is William Turner’s painting of Ben Ledi from Kilmahog Bridge (on display at the Tate Gallery) just a few hundred metres away.

This house was beautiful, cozy, well-stocked and clean. Hosts were extremely responsive, friendly, and kind. Town is small, peaceful, with beautiful surroundings and many hiking options. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was very functional, and backyard was enjoyable. Thank You for hosting us. We loved the place!
