Monthly Rentals in Kilcatherine, Gurteen

My 3 friends and I spent a fantastic 3 days in Liam’s house. Margaret, who looks after the house, met us on arrival and was extremely welcoming, contact before and throughout our stay was great. The house was very well stocked and Margaret had even left freshly cooked brown bread, milk, fruit and other provisions. The house is large, bright, clean, warm and very comfortable. The bedrooms are big with large doubles in each and one room is en-suite. There are two reception rooms that are very relaxing and a well stocked kitchen with dinning table and chairs. You will find every utensil, pot, pan etc you need. A great house to come home to after exploring. The surrounding scenery is beautiful and the location is ideal being about 6 mins drive from both Eyeries and Castletown-bere. I would recommend having car although there is a taxi service in Castletown-bere. If you’re staying in this area this is a great house to stay in. I’ll be back here in the future and hope to stay here again.

Wonderful stay to get away from it all and explore Kilcatharine Point, a penninsula on a penninsula that is diverse and varied enough to provide several days of walks without needing to drive anywhere else. Just ten minutes walk from the house are a few hidden caves to explore swimming and a green carpet of grassfor yoga in front of The Ocean facing abandoned Inishfarnard Island. I can think of nowhere better to escape.

Majella's house is great, well furnished and with an indescribably beautiful view. We felt very comfortable. The property is ideally suited as a starting point for long hikes on the wonderful Beara Peninsula.

Sea Haven was an absolutely beautiful place to stay. It had everything you would need for a comfortable, relaxing holiday. The furnishings, dishes, pots and pans, appliances and bath necessities were all provided and in good order. There was a lot to do and see in the area, and the views from the house were gorgeous. We especially loved having a fire in the mornings in the stove and watching the sunsets in the evenings. Martha was also a very helpful and responsive host. I would definitely stay at Sea Haven again!
