it was a beautiful holiday in a lovely and well furnished apartment. with a view of the ocean by day and the sound of waves by night. we really enjoyed joeys house and it was very convenient to have a restaurant next door. everyone was very friendly and we had a great and relaxing time. thanks!

We had the most fabulous week at Nina’s — it was an utter dream. The staff were incredible. The beach was idyllic. And everyone was so helpful and made our week perfect. Thank you to everyone for looking after us.

We was in the off season there … it was very private and the park was huge and at the private beach front was nobody. Thats what we where looking for. The whole aerea felt very safe, but you need an own car to enjoy it because its very quiet …

Lorine’s place is amazing! I feel like the antique furniture and aesthetics of the colonial styles was flawless! I will definitely be recommending this place to all of my friends in the future. Absolute rustic beach-front paradise and such a lovely team of staff! Ocean views are stunning and tennis court is a lot of fun. Jacquie is amazingly responsive and so helpful. Thank you so much!

The house was cozy and very private in an idyllic location steps from the beach. The staff, Elizabeth and Duca are wonderful and made our stay so comfortable. The hosts are very responsive and accommodating. Can’t wait to come back.

The beach cottage was absolutely amazing. My mum and I had an amazing three nights and we loved every second of it. The cottage is right next to the beach but the best beaches are about 10mins walk and another is about 10mins with the uber boats. Julius and Fondo made us delicious Swahili meals and their hospitality was top notch. Lamu is nothing like any other beaches in Kenya…it’s a must visit!

I love this bnb! this was my 2nd stay and won't be the last. whenever am traveling to mombasa this is my go to spot. the bnb is beautiful the decor is kool unique and stylish . the seller is the view!! it's what really draws me there each time. loaded with amenities pretty much everything you can think of is there. very comfortable sofa seating and bed. I literally have no complaints the only thing that could make it better is if it was in a more happening area but it's easy to get around with ubers. the host is amazing she always gets back to me with any concerns and rectified them. she definitely takes wanting us to have a good experience serious. pro tip . there is a store nearby on called food plus where you can get cases of water, snacks and even food stuff for cooking. the big thing is there is also a pharmacy and atm in that same Plaza. good to know because there is not an atm at the premises where you'll stay. cash is king.

We were a family of 5; 2 adults and 3 kids aged 14 year old, 5 year old and a 2 year old. Charlottes place was amazing. We loved everything! The staff at the house make sure you are comfortable. They cleaned everyday and we had clean towels daily. The guard Suleiman, is great to book excursions if you need, a very friendly man. We hired a chef called Katana, whom Charlotte recommended. His food was fantastic, delicious and nutritious. Just let him know your preference like swahili dishes, or other dishes and he will make it. We had him make Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Polly the manager, is at the site and she can help you if you have questions, she is very responsive and friendly. I recommend this place for families with small kids and teenagers. The pool is another gem in this house. Thank you Charlotte, we miss your house already ❤️

Wir hatten 5 nächte gebucht und es hat uns so gut gefallen, dass wir 2 nächte verlängert haben. Das haus ist sehr schön gelegen die aussicht auf die creek und das meer ist atemberaubend. An diesem ort kommt man sehr einfach zur ruhe. Tom und die crew machen einen fantastischen job. Das essen war weltklasse. Obwohl sie sehr zuvorkommend waren hatten wir immer genügend privatsphäre. Wir haben uns sofort zuhause gefühlt. Ein richtiges juwel an der küste von kenia. Nach der buchung haben wir ein sehr gutes dokument mit möglichen aktivitäten, kontakten und informationen zur umgebung bekommen. Der spatziergang bei low tide in der creek ist wunderschön. ;) enjoy

We spent 4 days at taqwa house and it s was amazing, Elijah the chef is an amazing chef, Peter the manager was very available. Only issue is that the house is a bit far (10min walking) from Sheila and the instructions are not very clear. We will come back

I had an amazing stay at Ayan’s place for three days with my family. It was exactly as described, and Ayan went above and beyond to make our experience special. She provided great recommendations for local areas and activities to explore. She was very understanding and gracious. Ayan was always available to help, and she answered my calls immediately whenever I needed assistance. The space is also very comfortable and accessible for elderly guests with fast lifts and direct access to the beach. Highly recommend staying here if you’re in North coast Mombasa!

We had a wonderful 4 nights stay with family of 5. The owner responded quickly, send us very detailed information of all you need to know and arranged pick up at Mombasa airport. The staff is very friendly, helpful and at the same time gives you privacy. Reuben the chef provided us splendid meals, we especially enjoyed all the fresh seafood!Recommended is to do shopping before arrival because bigger supermarkets are 40 minutes drive away. Fruits, vegetables, water, fish, soda’s are easy to get in the village but for more luxurious groceries you have to go to the bigger supermarkets. You can book the pick up from the airport with a shopping stop in Nyali. Neen Tree is a lovely family house with marvellous view and direct access to the ocean. A friendly monkey family lives on the property and are fun to watch. Besides the pool we loved going snorkelling on the rif using the equipment from the house. For transport we used Tsuma with a comfortable 7 seater which we used for a Kilifi trip.

What a gorgeous place. If you’re an animal lover, this is the best place to be in the Diani area. Monkeys everywhere on the veranda, in the garden, by the pool! Gorgeous birds. Starfish island nearby. Adequate snorkeling. I was initially worried because the Honeymoon Tent seemed like a better choice online, but to us, Ocean View villa has the most to offer of the properties on the compound! Lovely as a couple or for a group you know intimately (the rooms are quite porous if sharing the home). Mike was incredibly helpful and flexible, with an incredible life story. Martin our chef was warm and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Would definitely come back again. PS would recommend ordering the shopping ahead of time, can be a bit hectic to do it on the night of your arrival.

Amazing and calm place right next to the wonderful beach. The cottage is very well equipped and has everything one would need.

Jane was very helpful even before our trip, her house, Jaha is definitely prettier than the pictures. She has done a good job with the interior and she a nice collection of books you can read while relaxing. James the chef made such tasty meals, his soups are a must have 😅 Juma was also very proactive and he helped us around the Island. Jane has done well with her team, including Nasir who picked and dropped us at Manda Airport. We had a such a lovely stay.

Our stay at Gianluca’s house was absolutely amazing! Every detail was exquisitely handled from beginning to end. He arranged for transport to and from the airport, and the driver was highly knowledgeable about the area, and provided countless insights and ideas for our stay. Gisnluca also arranged for a talented chef, who prepared delicious meals for us all three days. The property was gated with 24/7 security, and housekeeping kept the place spotless during our time there. The layout was perfect for us; the kids and mother-in-law at the main house, and my wife and I stayed at the lovely guest house across the gorgeous swimming pool. I would highly recommend staying at Gianluca’s place to anyone visiting Watamu!

Wonderful stay. One of it’s kind. Worth every penny. Ken, our cook, prepared nothing but a variety of delicious meals. Josephine, the adorable, is a very unique lady with a heart of gold. Rachelle, the manager, made our stay very remarkable. As far as the guards, they went above and beyond at making sure we were safe and well cared for. This place is s gem, and if accepted back, we will definitely visit again. If ever up for sale, please let us know. My family would love to call that property home. Thank you so much for such great experience.

Notre séjour chez Franca s’est très bien passé. Nous avons bien été reçues, et les aides de maison étaient très serviable. Cadre paradisiaque, le jardin et ses nombreuses piscines sont parfait pour un séjour entre amis ou en famille ! Accès à la plage. Proximité avec les restaurants et les magasins. Je recommande !

We very much enjoyed Bulloch House. It worked well for two families with plenty of space. Dominique and the team looked after us well and produced good meals. The pool was beautifully clean and the main seating area very comfortable. We also enjoyed using the bar area. A great house for a family holiday.

Wir ausgesprochen freundlich begrüßt. Ein ganzes Team hat sich 2 Wochen um unser Wohlergehen und unsere Sicherheit gekümmert, angefangen von der täglichen Reinigung, der Organisation unserer Einkäufe durch Gilbert, dem Manager, über die Zubereitung der Mahlzeiten 2x täglich von Humphrey, einem Koch mit Leib und Seele, der unsere Menüwünsche aufgenommen und umgesetzt hat. Wir haben es sehr genossen. Neben den vorhandenen Ventilatoren in den Schlafräumen haben wir von Gilbert 2 zusätzliche Ventilatoren erhalten, um auch bei nächtlich hohen Temperaturen gut schlafen zu können. Die Betten waren ausgezeichnet., wir hatten eine überdachte Veranda vor dem Eingang, ein Balkon im 1. Stock mit einer schönen Liege mit Blick auf das Meer und viele schattige Plätze im Garten. Auf dem großes Gelände mit Meerwasserpool nur wenige Meter vom Ozean entfernt, haben wir uns sehr wohl und wie im Paradies gefühlt. Wir würden das Haus jederzeit empfehlen und gerne wiederkommen.

Tawny was friendly and responded right away to my many questions. Jackson was also great and the chef made INCREDIBLE food. There are quite a few stairs up to Solar House and it's serene up there. Very short walk to the beach, Peponi, or anywhere you'd want to be. When there was an issue with the water flow, the staff solved it immediately and with smiles. We'll be back!! Thank you!!
