What a beautiful beautiful place. The pictures don’t do the house justice and Tiwi is a beach that is still as gorgeous as it was 30 years ago. No beach boys, no grief just lovely people everywhere. We snorkelled, swam in the pool, swam in the sea, played on the beach, rock pool hunted on the reef. Saw amazing starfish, moray eel, box fish and 3 types of sea hare as well as the “usual stuff”. We missed turtles hatching by 24 hours, but watched one come up to lay her eggs . The perfect place to spend a few days with the family chilling, talking and reconnecting. The verandah at the front is the best hub place. Then food - Anthony creates magic in the kitchen. Fresh fish, fruit and his tempura squid with coriander and soy sauce was delish. Fred the taxi driver is great and as a mixed family of 6 we could be as active and busy or not as we chose. The best way to end a trip to Kenya and as a previous resident it was perfect -Asante Tanya xx

it was a beautiful holiday in a lovely and well furnished apartment. with a view of the ocean by day and the sound of waves by night. we really enjoyed joeys house and it was very convenient to have a restaurant next door. everyone was very friendly and we had a great and relaxing time. thanks!

We was in the off season there … it was very private and the park was huge and at the private beach front was nobody. Thats what we where looking for. The whole aerea felt very safe, but you need an own car to enjoy it because its very quiet …

Lorine’s place is amazing! I feel like the antique furniture and aesthetics of the colonial styles was flawless! I will definitely be recommending this place to all of my friends in the future. The house was cozy and very private in an idyllic location steps from the beach. The staff, Elizabeth and Duca are wonderful and made our stay so comfortable. The hosts are very responsive and accommodating. Can’t wait to come back.

I love this bnb! this was my 2nd stay and won't be the last. whenever am traveling to mombasa this is my go to spot. the bnb is beautiful the decor is kool unique and stylish . the seller is the view!! it's what really draws me there each time. loaded with amenities pretty much everything you can think of is there. very comfortable sofa seating and bed. I literally have no complaints the only thing that could make it better is if it was in a more happening area but it's easy to get around with ubers. the host is amazing she always gets back to me with any concerns and rectified them. she definitely takes wanting us to have a good experience serious. pro tip . there is a store nearby on called food plus where you can get cases of water, snacks and even food stuff for cooking. the big thing is there is also a pharmacy and atm in that same Plaza. good to know because there is not an atm at the premises where you'll stay. cash is king.

One of our best stays in Mombasa by far. The residence was great for the 5 of us. The house is as shown on the pictures with magnificent views of the ocean from all the rooms, especially the views from the master bedroom windows and balcony. The gym was well fitted and the swimming pool was very clean, the water felt quite warm even in the evenings. Finally I just want to acknowledge the residence was kept clean at all times and the neighborhood was very quiet . We really enjoyed our stay.

We were a family of 5; 2 adults and 3 kids aged 14 year old, 5 year old and a 2 year old. Charlottes place was amazing. We loved everything! The staff at the house make sure you are comfortable. They cleaned everyday and we had clean towels daily. The guard Suleiman, is great to book excursions if you need, a very friendly man. We hired a chef called Katana, whom Charlotte recommended. His food was fantastic, delicious and nutritious. Just let him know your preference like swahili dishes, or other dishes and he will make it. We had him make Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Polly the manager, is at the site and she can help you if you have questions, she is very responsive and friendly. I recommend this place for families with small kids and teenagers. The pool is another gem in this house. Thank you Charlotte, we miss your house already ❤️

Had a great stay. Food was amazing… Tom and his crew did such a great job and were very friendly. The location was very private and so peaceful. The weather is of course hot, but the architecture really allows so much breeze to flow through plus all the rooms had fans. Would be glad to come again!

We spent 4 days at taqwa house and it s was amazing, Elijah the chef is an amazing chef, Peter the manager was very available. Only issue is that the house is a bit far (10min walking) from Sheila and the instructions are not very clear. We will come back

I had an amazing stay at Ayan’s place for three days with my family. It was exactly as described, and Ayan went above and beyond to make our experience special. She provided great recommendations for local areas and activities to explore. She was very understanding and gracious. Ayan was always available to help, and she answered my calls immediately whenever I needed assistance. The space is also very comfortable and accessible for elderly guests with fast lifts and direct access to the beach. Highly recommend staying here if you’re in North coast Mombasa!

We had a wonderful 4 nights stay with family of 5. The owner responded quickly, send us very detailed information of all you need to know and arranged pick up at Mombasa airport. The staff is very friendly, helpful and at the same time gives you privacy. Reuben the chef provided us splendid meals, we especially enjoyed all the fresh seafood!Recommended is to do shopping before arrival because bigger supermarkets are 40 minutes drive away. Fruits, vegetables, water, fish, soda’s are easy to get in the village but for more luxurious groceries you have to go to the bigger supermarkets. You can book the pick up from the airport with a shopping stop in Nyali. Neen Tree is a lovely family house with marvellous view and direct access to the ocean. A friendly monkey family lives on the property and are fun to watch. Besides the pool we loved going snorkelling on the rif using the equipment from the house. For transport we used Tsuma with a comfortable 7 seater which we used for a Kilifi trip.

Our stay at Gianluca’s house was absolutely amazing! Every detail was exquisitely handled from beginning to end. He arranged for transport to and from the airport, and the driver was highly knowledgeable about the area, and provided countless insights and ideas for our stay. Gisnluca also arranged for a talented chef, who prepared delicious meals for us all three days. The property was gated with 24/7 security, and housekeeping kept the place spotless during our time there. The layout was perfect for us; the kids and mother-in-law at the main house, and my wife and I stayed at the lovely guest house across the gorgeous swimming pool. I would highly recommend staying at Gianluca’s place to anyone visiting Watamu!

Amazing and calm place right next to the wonderful beach. The cottage is very well equipped and has everything one would need.

Jane was very helpful even before our trip, her house, Jaha is definitely prettier than the pictures. She has done a good job with the interior and she a nice collection of books you can read while relaxing. James the chef made such tasty meals, his soups are a must have 😅 Juma was also very proactive and he helped us around the Island. Jane has done well with her team, including Nasir who picked and dropped us at Manda Airport. We had a such a lovely stay.

Wonderful stay. One of it’s kind. Worth every penny. Ken, our cook, prepared nothing but a variety of delicious meals. Josephine, the adorable, is a very unique lady with a heart of gold. Rachelle, the manager, made our stay very remarkable. As far as the guards, they went above and beyond at making sure we were safe and well cared for. This place is s gem, and if accepted back, we will definitely visit again. If ever up for sale, please let us know. My family would love to call that property home. Thank you so much for such great experience.

The house looks exactly like it does in the photos—no surprises, no disappointments. The view is stunning, and there’s a large shared pool that’s perfect for relaxing. Everything was very clean, and Silvia was incredibly helpful and always quick to respond. The location is unbeatable—it’s right on the beach, just a couple of steps away. Unfortunately, we visited during the low season, so we ended up going to Garoda Beach to swim. Still, I’m sure that during the high season, you can fully enjoy the beautiful beach right in front of the house. Overall, we had a great experience. If there’s one thing I would suggest improving, it’s the interior design. Replacing the bedsheets on the couches with proper covers would make the space feel much more polished—and truly deserving of more than 5 stars.

Great location with easy access to local shopping and resorts. A very responsive host with prompt action taken when we had hot water issue. The cleaner was very professional and provided service with a smile. Good security and helpful staff at the reception. Definitely was a home away from home.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Villa Lazizi in Diani Beach in early May. We were excited about our holiday in Diani Beach and looking forward to staying at the property. The property is around an 8 minute drive from Ukunda Airport and is exactly as advertised - beautiful private pool in front and a lovely 2 and a half bedroom Villa. The staff at the property did a wonderful job to make us feel welcome and meet our needs. Aisha (property manager) went above and beyond to make our stay a good one. She took time out of her schedule to go into the markets with us so my wife could get local prices for dresses. She also was helpful when we experienced a planned electrical power cut by KPLC. During our stay, a chef named Iddi (recommended by Villa Lazizi) made wonder meals for us the entire week and even sourced food. We truly enjoyed our stay in Diani Beach. My wife and I now have plans to relocate to the Kenya coast one day after this experience. Thank you, Villa Lazizi!

We were greeted in a very friendly way. An entire team took care of our well-being and safety for 2 weeks, ranging from daily cleaning, organizing our purchases by Gilbert, the manager, preparing meals 2x daily from Humphrey, a chef with body and soul who has welcomed and implemented our menu requests. We thoroughly enjoyed it. In addition to the existing fans in the bedrooms, we received 2 additional fans from Gilbert in order to be able to sleep well even at high temperatures at night. The beds were excellent., we had a covered porch in front of the entrance, a balcony on the 1st floor with a nice lounger overlooking the sea and lots of shaded places in the garden. On the large grounds with seawater pool just a few meters away from the ocean, we felt very comfortable and like in paradise. We would recommend the house anytime and would love to come back.

Tawny was friendly and responded right away to my many questions. Jackson was also great and the chef made INCREDIBLE food. There are quite a few stairs up to Solar House and it's serene up there. Very short walk to the beach, Peponi, or anywhere you'd want to be. When there was an issue with the water flow, the staff solved it immediately and with smiles. We'll be back!! Thank you!!
