This house was in a beautiful setting with gorgeous grounds. it was very well maintained and comfortable. The house has lots of basics in the pantry and condiments. We loved watching sunset from the lanai through the trees or walking 50 ft to the Pier for a Bayside view (with dolphins often making an appearance). Excellent snorkeling at nearby Manini Beach Park (some of us jumped in at the Pier, too) and by kayak at the Cook Monument across the Bay, or at 2-Step, a 5 minute drive down the road. The AC was good but not usually necessary with great ventilation and fans. The bugs are definitely hoping for snacks, so vigilance to keep a tidy house is crucial (but this is to be expected and wasn't a problem). Dawn was very responsive to a few small problems, and when we couldn't get the dryer to work she had a neighbor offer his so we could finish in time to check out (the dryer was a smart dryer and it out smarted us). We really appreciated how Dawn responded so quickly and helpfully!

We enjoyed our stay. Close to downtown. Would rent again.

We had the dream family trip of a lifetime. The kids loved the pool—morning, noon and evening except when we went off on adventures. The neighborhood was quiet and within walking distance of a rocky beach. The house was roomy and well stocked with two large, long dining tables, one indoors and the other on an enclosed porch outdoors. Perfect for family dining. Joe and Anna were lovely hosts, pleasant and informative. We’d definitely recommend this home to anyone.

The place was very beautiful and well located near all the beach fun. The views and ocean breezes were incredible and my family loved it. We left the windows open in the evening and in lulled us to sleep at night. We explored the rocky beach in the backyard and had fun looking for treasures. Our family will be back again soon!! We had an absolutely fabulous time in Kona, and Zhe & Sijie’s place was a huge part of it. It made for an amazing home away from home for our two-week stay. The home was exactly as described and as it appeared in the photos - if anything, it was even more perfect in person. Plenty of living space, the kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast and lunch at the house each day, and the three bedrooms and bathrooms were a perfect fit for my husband and me, our son and my dad. The elevated deck was perfect for reading in the sun or watching the sunset and then watching the stars come out. The pool is small, but a nice place to relax between activities or at the end of a busy day. The house is also in a very nice neighborhood, very secure and close to a grocery store and quite a few restaurants. Zhe and Sijie were fantastic hosts, super quick to reply to any questions we had, and proactively communicating info about check in and check out. 10/10, highly recommend!!

First of all, the area was amazing!! Manini beach was literally a 2-3 minute walk down the road for great snorkeling (gear is provided, if you need it) with a path for some amazing sunsets. There are a couple of fruit stands in the neighborhood, which was great for my mother’s daily banana stroll. You can see the bay from the amazing lanai that we spent so much time on to watch the snorkelers, kayakers and dolphins. The house itself was great! Split into half, with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on either side, separated by an open concept living room and kitchen. The dining room is outside…where else would you want to sit down and eat? There were A/Cs in the bedrooms if you needed them, but the ocean breeze was usually enough for most of my party. There were lots of spices in the cabinets for cooking and some staples leftover from past renters. The long, winding and narrow roads make some great scenery, but also make your trip to anywhere else a bit long. I would definitely stay again.

Had an amazing stay at Lee and Courtney's place. The house was incredible and had everything that my family of five needed (to even include tons of beach/snorkeling gear and beach towels). The house is very convenient to many great beaches and activities on the Kona side of the island. We really enjoyed the lanai and all the amazing outdoor space to include the pool and hot tub. We would definitely stay at this house again if we come back to the Big Island.

Chelsea was out of town yet was immediately responsive to messages dealing with a couple of minor glitches; it helped that the owner lives nearby. Place overall was great. Lack of air conditioning (it was not hot, but the upstairs did warm up in the April afternoons) was offset by the private pool, a better way to cool off than by refrigerating the house. Nice layout for two couples, one upstairs with the larger bedroom and large en suite bath, the other downstairs with two smaller bedrooms and a bath, so we each had good private space. Only drawback was the downstairs rooms seemed a bit enclosed, although all had windows. Nice large lanai and the landscaping around the pool made it feel especially private. Be sure to investigate the pantry and shelves before shopping...the place was very well supplied when we arrived. We would definitely stay again if we're in Kona!

This property is wonderful - clean, comfortable, well stocked, and the views of the ocean/sunset is hard to beat! We enjoyed our stay and the location is close shopping, excursions, and to the main highway. We definitely recommend this property if you are staying on the Kona side of the island. We had a group of 6 adults and the property worked out perfectly.

Wow, just WOW. This should be at the tops of ANY list! Truly the most enjoyable experience we’ve ever had. These superstar hosts have thought of literally EVERYTHING. Every kitchen appliance, cookware, extra linens, cleaning supplies, working vacuum, pristine bathrooms, ALL the goodies for the beach - 4 new snorkel sets, chairs, carry-all bins (!!!!) for your car, towels, boards, umbrella, pickleball sets, 3 different coolers/go-bags…the list goes on. The home Is immaculate, tastefully (and functionally!) appointed, and you’d be hard-pressed to find a single flaw. Their ‘blueprint’ should be the new standard for vacation rentals! The community was quaint and perfect, nestled right above a beautiful bay, and complete with all you need in multiple pools, outdoor cook areas, etc. I traveled with my two kids and my cousins’ family - 3 adults and 4 kids in all. The 3 bedrooms AND 2 bonus beds in the living room were all very comfortable. I can’t say enough about these hosts!!

Our group absolutely loved our stay. The host was extremely responsive and the pictures don't even do the place justice. We loved the view and relaxing by the pool until it was time to hit the beach. The location is ideal; it is not too far from Kona (8 minute drive) but you feel like you're in a jungle oasis.

I recently stayed at Justin’s Airbnb in Kona, and it was an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, Justin was incredibly welcoming, offering great recommendations for local activities and making sure we had everything we needed. The house itself was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, creating a perfect island retreat. One of the highlights was the pool – it was pristine and provided the perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring the island. The outdoor area was fantastic, with plenty of seating, and we enjoyed several evenings watching the sunset from the lanai. The location in Kona was ideal, with easy access to beaches, dining, and shopping, yet the house felt like a private oasis. We felt truly at home during our stay and couldn’t have asked for a better place to unwind. I highly recommend Justin’s place for anyone looking to experience the best of Kona in comfort and style!

Definitely a 5 star ⭐️ we loved it and will be back for sure! Only 1 problem was getting there cause we didn’t realize it was so far up which turned out to be perfect because the wedding we were going was only 3 min away. Bonus was the washer & dryer and beautiful horses. Super clean and very cool. Glad we stayed here over a hotel. Thank you 🤙🏻

This was the third time that we rented this lovely little space. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for an open, airy, well appointed and comfortable stay. Lennis is a fantastic host. There has been total consistency in communication, cleanliness, and of course the sheer beauty that surround it. Morning coffee (there are three different options on how to make your coffee, BTW) on the lanai (patio), watching the sky change above the ocean, and listening to the sounds of Hawaii come to life is one of my favorite things ever. My son lives on the island, so we visit often. This is our favorite place to stay, hands down. Just don't ever book when we want it! lol

We had the most amazing stay in Kona at Richard’s place. The house truly felt like home away from home for a week. The pool and outdoor area were fabulous with breathtaking views of the ocean. The inside was perfect for our family from the dining area to the tv area to the game area where we gathered to play some of the games Richard had on hand a few of the evenings we were there. When we go back, we definitely want to book Richard’s place again! We sure miss being there this week!

From the moment we arrived, this stunning beachfront house in Hawaii felt like a dream come true. Tucked away on a pristine stretch of ocean, the property offers the perfect balance of comfort and that laid-back island magic. Waking up each morning to the sound of waves was a highlight in itself. The views are simply unreal – endless ocean and vibrant sunsets. Whether you're lounging on the beach chairs, snorkeling at a nearby beach, or watching the stars from the hot tub, every moment feels like a postcard. The house is spacious, airy, and filled with natural light. I really appreciated the fully equipped kitchen with spices and basic cooking necessities. Peng also has a supply of beach supplies including snorkel masks, coolers, beach chairs, umbrella, etc which came in so handy. Such a magical place I hope to come back to someday!

We loved it there, super nice hosts! Beautiful views of the ocean right from the patio. Great place to walk down Ali'i drive, and magic sands was super close.

We had a wonderful four days at Jill's Mermaid Studio. Jill was out of town but Jason and Brian helped us with our every need. We enjoyed her friendly cats and chickens that greeted us in the yard. The outside shower is really cool! We walked the path to watch the sunset each evening. Manini Beach just a couple minutes walk around the corner is maintained by local conservation group so is super clean, and has an easy spot to get in the water to snorkel. We rented a kayak from Ehu and Kai ($80 for a double ocean kayak for 5 hours) to paddle over and snorkel at the Captain Cook Monument. If you want to do this it is very easy to sign up and pay right on their website and meet them at the landing just a block from Jill's place (other direction from beach). They provide a dry bag and life vests. Rent snorkel gear from them or bring your own. You can't land the kayak at the monument so you just pull it around behind you with a rope while you snorkel which was no big deal.

Some friends and I stayed for a couple nights to explore Big Island! We had such a great time, the kitchen and the house had everything we needed! We also enjoyed being able to bbq and having the outdoor area!

Wendy’s home in Kona was perfect for our large group. Equal parts spacious and comfortable. All the beds were so plush after active days hiking and touring the island. The house was close to Kona amenities but just far enough to give us a quiet, private experience. The house had everything we could want (boogie boards, laundry, high speed internet) and lots of stuff we didn’t know we’d want (coolers for long days out in the NP!). It made a dream vacation all the better. Wendy was responsive and accommodating.
