The place is just as beautiful as in the photos—surrounded by nature, with the peaceful sound of the river every night and stunning views. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the incredible team and the people of Sidemen. It’s a quiet area, no traffic, and there’s so much to explore. We highly recommend speaking with the owner, to arrange local experiences like visiting the rice terraces. Everything was trustworthy and the whole experience was simply unforgettable.

We stayed 2 nights at the bamboo villas and we were amazed by the beautiful setting of this place surrounded by beautiful vegetation and rice fields and in addition at the foot of the highest peak in Bali. The view is amazing! It rained during the night and it was magical and relaxing. Sidemen is a beautiful region that is worth the detour and that changes the pace of the big city. It's really a peaceful oasis. Thanks to our host who made this stay memorable!

We have been living in Denpasar for one year, but we are originally from the U.S. where we lived in the Blue Ridge Mountains, had a garden, and spent our evenings by the campfire. We were looking for a place to get away for our son’s 16th birthday and hoped for somewhere away from traffic and surrounded by trees. We could not have dreamed that we would find a place that would ease our homesickness while also allowing us to experience the true beauty of the real Bali. If we could move into the cabin, we would in a heartbeat. The staff is incredible and they immediately made us feel like family. We have officially named the cabin our “home away from home” and hope to return when we begin to feel homesick. If you love the outdoors, gardens, trails, flowers, and campfires, you will not be disappointed.

What a beautiful stay we had in Amed! I came here with my husband and our two daughter (7 and 4 years old). From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were welcomed into a real Balinese family—not just staying in a place, but living in it. Our girls instantly bonded with Made and Arya, Ketut’s wonderful children, and also their French friends Tom and Inez. Every day was a little adventure: they rode bikes together, bounced around on the trampoline, swam at the beach, flew kites, played with Legos, painted, and spent endless time playing with Pina, their sweet dog. It was like a kid’s dream come true! The house itself is simple, cozy, and full of warmth. It's tucked away in a small alley close to the beach. What made it truly special was the warm local living vibe. One of the highlight was when Ketut’s wife invited us for a delicious home-cooked dinner. Thank you Ketut and family for the amazing hospitality. This place has a heart, and we hope to come back someday!
