Family-friendly vacation rentals in Karangasem Regency

We stayed here for 2 days. The rooms are clean. The ambiance around the property is peaceful. Hosts are very humble and welcoming. They provided us extra fresh fruits for our baby. The food (breakfast and lunch/dinner) provided is local home cooked, freshly prepared and tasty. Do try the floating breakfast which is one of a kind experience in itself. Heartfelt gratitude to the Oding family for hosting us. Definitely recommended

Staying at Surya Hills was a great experience! Tisya and her family were super helpful and accommodating! Breakfast was great every morning and was able to help set up our transportation needs like a taxi, boat rides, and even scooter rental! Definitely one of the best hosts I have had through Airbnb! The rooms were great and looked just like they did on the pictures!

Wayan made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. He gave great local recommendations and was very kind to our kids making sure everyone had a great holiday.

I Ketut’s place was absolutely perfect. It was far enough away from the busyness from Ubud but not too far to scooter into the centre. This was made even better with the scooter rental available at I Ketuts home. His family were so friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was included and restaurant quality! If you need any recommendations I Ketut was able to provide. I would recommend his home in a heart beat.

Dewa was an exceptional host — truly one of the best we’ve ever had! From the moment we booked, his communication was prompt, clear, and incredibly thoughtful. He responded quickly to every message, no matter the time of day, and always made sure we had the information we needed. Whether it was check-in details, local recommendations, or helping us navigate small questions during our stay, Dewa went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and supported. One of the highlights of our stay was how generously Dewa offered to drive us around and show us Ubud. His warmth and local knowledge made our experience so much richer — we got to see beautiful spots we might have missed on our own, and it felt like we were being shown around by a friend rather than just a host. He also recommended and brought us to an incredible spa where we had one of the most relaxing and rejuvenating experiences of our entire trip. Dewa’s hospitality, kindness, and genuine care made our stay unforgettable.

We are very pleased to stay in this villa. it is completely private, in a wild area. In the morning you wake up to the sounds of wildlife. The villa also has a high quality speaker, which allows you to make the atmosphere better. I recommend the place!

The older colonial home had lots of space and privacy. It was perfect for our family of 4. The local staff were the best selling part and were who we dealt with on a daily basis. They were helpful in sourcing some items that we required and even produced them at local prices. They supported with orientation of the area, sending out laundry, purchasing fresh fruits, and making breakfast daily. They made up rooms in the morning and then were out in no time, leaving us with privacy. Wonderful staff.

The villa is amazing! It's the one that won unanimous approval in my family (there were 5 of us, with my three grown children). It's huge and extremely well furnished. The beds are good, everything is impeccable. The staff is charming and pleasant. Always smiling. Nearby there is a beach and a warung (on the right as you exit) which offers really cheap menus, and which delivers to the villa. There are also SPAs right outside the villa. But what also makes the difference is the availability of the hosts. They were always available to inform me and reassure me. They did much more for us than any host on Airbnb. For example, we were returning from Gilli and they arranged the transfer to the villa, also at the end they arranged the transfer to the airport. The exchanges are very cordial, they are adorable. I already miss Bali, and if I come back I will probably rent this villa again. Thank you for everything

We had an amazing stay at this villa! Everything exceeded our expectations – from the spotless, beautifully decorated space to the perfect location. The host was incredibly welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed. The outdoor area was stunning, perfect for relaxing and taking in the surroundings. A highlight was the delicious food prepared by the staff – it truly made our stay even more special. This villa is now our go-to place, and we’ll definitely be back. Everything about this villa was just perfect. From the moment we stepped in, it felt like a dream—peaceful, private, and absolutely breathtaking. The views? Honestly, views to die for. All staffs were like family and we loved every minute of our stay in villa.

Most incredible villa in Bali! Wow what an amazing experience, from start to finish Anna was so fantastic with communication, all the staff at the villa are so lovely and Annisa is a fantastic host! Unfortunately my husband wasn’t feeling very well before we arrived at the villa and got worse during our stay, however the staff couldn’t have been more helpful! Organising a doctor to visit the villa! We also had the most incredible massage! The best we have had on our trip! We also had a private barong performance at the villa which took our breath away! Everything from start to finish is amazing, the food is fantastic and having your own private beach is just perfection! We can’t wait to return! Thank you for having us! X

We absolutely loved our stay in Amed at Villa Tara. The villa is in a fabulous location, you can walk to many cafes/restaurants. The pool is amazing, it is very private and we felt like locals in our home away from home. Highly recommend, we hope to return soon.

We had an amazing stay at this villa! The place is super spacious, perfect for a group of friends or family and has such a charming, slightly vintage vibe that made it feel really unique and cozy! One of the absolute highlights was the pool - especially at night. The lighting was stunning and created such a dreamy atmosphere. It honestly felt like a hidden gem, and that pool was the cherry on top. The host is very nice and helpful! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a beautiful and relaxed place to stay!

Cocoa Maya is the most beautiful villa. I cannot begin to say how wonderful our stay was. The team looking after us were so incredibly kind and the food was amazing. We had dinner every night! The villa is so loved and cared for. We had the most amazing time with our children and grandchildren. Thank you all for the happiest holiday.

We’re a family of five from Australia (kids aged 12, 14, and 17), and this was the perfect Bali holiday. The stunning villa is right on the beach in a peaceful, private location, with a beautiful pool, bedrooms looking out to the water and the beautiful islands, open-air bathrooms, and even snorkelling right out the front. It truly felt like staying at a 5-star resort. The staff, especially Made and Nyoman, were incredible, so warm, attentive, and thoughtful. They took care of our every need with such ease and kindness. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts each morning, daily massages, and appreciated the villa being cleaned and laundry done each day. The chef’s meals were delicious, and the seafood BBQ on the beach for my wife’s birthday, with so many thoughtful, personal touches, was unforgettable. Everything about our stay was relaxing and effortless. We felt completely cared for and are already dreaming of coming back. Highly, highly recommend.

This place is a true gem!! We are a family of 4 & stayed for 4 nights & it was absolutely fantastic 🤩 The villa & the garden is stunning & HUGE and truly match the description. Each room is enormous with beautiful en suite bathrooms. Our master bedroom definitely had the biggest bathtub we’ve ever had which was a cool detail. Service is IMPECCABLE & fantastic Yuni & all the rest of the staff catered to our every need making sure we had everything we could wish for at any given moment💕✨ they are true superstars! THANK you all once again ✨💕🙏🏾 The food is AMAZING & meals consumed in the villa definitely holds restaurant standards. It was FANTASTIC! Warmly recommend booking the in house massage services which we did 2 mornings! Our BIGGEST THANK you goes to our dear new Bali friend Putu, our Villa manager, who all the way from airport pick up to driving us to Ubud for our next stop, gave us an unbelievable stay! Just Wow ! The Villa was even better than the pictures , we absolutely loved our stay and hope to come back very soon .The staff were super friendly .The daily view out into the ocean was the best ! Restaurants in walking distant , it was the most relaxing holiday we ever had had in Bali .

The best villa for the whole vacation. I recommend it if you like privacy and a relaxing holiday. The villa is located in a closed bay, we hardly saw anyone during the entire vacation. It has its own access to the ocean, a huge swimming pool, a jacuzzi. Two dining areas. Huge bedrooms, three with great views. Gorgeous beauty begins literally a kilometer away. In the afternoon at the villa there is a team - they prepared a wonderful breakfast, there is also delivery from the restaurant nearby. Everyone cleans up) Only for the sake of this villa can you return to the island.
