Private Jungle Cabin in a Protected Mango Grove

Thank you, Lauren, for hosting us. Your space was cozy and beautiful. It's clear you put a lot of effort into creating a peaceful space. I loved the coqui frog sounds at night and the sound of rain on the roof.

Airy Jungalow in Kehena Beach Estates

RichardRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Remote (and we like remote), private and quiet setting. Off the grid, but comfortable. Location a bit of a drive, but great for viewing lava and wave action on the beach. Not swimmable though due to recent lava flow. Awesome stay.

Fire Pit Soaking Tub Enclosed Lanai Artisan Home

Beautiful house with tasteful furnishing. A bit cramped if the tv is pulled out because the tv is set up on a rollable cabinet but still very beautiful and comfortable place to use as base for exploring the volcano national park. Host is friendly and communicative.

Peaceful & Private-2BR Near Volcano & Coast

BrookeRating, 5 starstoday
Wonderful rural location tucked away but not a far drive to Hilo, Volcano National Park, several beaches, farmers markets, other beautiful places to explore. The Airbnb had all needed amenities, really comfortable bed, plenty of space, games and books to read, a nice picnic table outside with a tent garage for the car so your luggage doesn’t get wet if it rains when you arrive, and even a robe and slippers which I am a sucker for - makes me feel so cozy when I am away from home! More than happy with our stay, we hope to come back!

Newer Home w/ Ocean Views & Ocean Sounds at Night

EmmalyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Home away from home. We loved how super clean and spacious it was. The ocean view was beautiful against the beautifully inspiring garden. (I want to make my backyard like this). Coming home each day took my breath away. The backyard has a table to eat on and wooden loungers to take a nice nap on and a bunch of Adirondack chairs to sit on. Dusty and Luba are amazing hosts with great recommendations such as the Maku’u farmers market, food spots and the Mt Kilauea volcano (we were so lucky to see the eruption on May 25th). We BBQ’d on their grill and cooked breakfast every morning all while enjoying the extremely relaxing ambiance. The showers were very clean with a rain shower head and handheld. At night the little frogs do croak but it literally puts you to sleep. Having the washer and dryer came in super handy for all our beach days. I wish this was my home! We would love definitely stay again.

A glowing lava lake is visible within a rugged volcanic landscape, with bright orange and red hues illuminating the dark surroundings. The contours of the lava create a dynamic shape, surrounded by the textured earth and cliffs of the volcano, under a smoky and dramatic sky.

*New* Cozy Tiny Home near Volcano

JoaquinRating, 5 stars4 days ago
This place was absolutely perfect for our visit to the Big Island. Quick 15 minute drive to the Volcanos National Park and about a 30 minute drive to Hilo. This place is perfect for those who enjoy a place off the beaten path. Andrew was also really proactive in make sure our arrival went smoothly and very responsive. Definitely a nice cozy place to get back to after a day of adventure.

it is a stunning place! it's a bit remote but with a car you can get around easily. But as the description says, it is a bit rustic, so if you want a hotel , this is not your place, would happily stay here again 🤗

The stay with Robynne was amazing! It's rare to find such a great host and such an incredibly cosy and super clean Airbnb. We would have loved to stay longer. We couldn't have imagined a better stay. It felt like home. We also got to meet the two huskies and they were super cute. All in all: 10 out of 10!! Mahalo Robynne and thank you for your hospitality!

Kehena Beach House w/Heated Pool

MrigeshRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had an unforgettable experience staying at this beautiful cliffside Airbnb near Kehena Black Sand Beach. The house is perched right on the edge of the cliffs, offering absolutely stunning, unobstructed ocean views. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of waves crashing against the rocks was surreal. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We specifically chose this place for the views, and it exceeded all expectations. Amber was a fantastic hostess—super responsive, thoughtful, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our stay. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape with jaw-dropping scenery and the soothing sounds of the ocean, this is the place. Highly recommend it—we’ll definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Prakasit’s cottage! It was nestled amongst the beautiful garden his friendly and welcoming father maintains. The coqui were very present at night but also didn’t keep us up. Thanks for a great vacation!

Hikina Shore Getaway -A Coastal+Jungle Stay.

LucyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I wanted a quiet and peaceful place to stay for a few days and this home was perfect! The amenities were wonderful, the house itself is very cozy and comfortable, the craftsmanship of the home was stunning, it sits on a beautiful pot of land, and the short walk to the water was just the cherry on top. I had a wonderful time exploring all of Tabitha’s recommendations, utilizing their upper deck for stargazing in the evenings(she even provides star charts for you), and enjoying fresh coconut water provided by her son ($4 for a fresh coconut to be picked and delivered directly to your door! It doesn’t get better than that!). I had a really lovely time and will definitely be coming back!

Vintage Hawaii Home 5 Minute Walk To Kehena Beach

KimRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Jason and David’s house was just as described. It was in a peaceful and beautiful setting. There is a lovely porch to sit out on in the morning to drink your cup of coffee or enjoy breakfast. The only room with air is the bedroom so do be aware of that during the hot humid months, but you can’t beat the price. Also, the black sand beach is very cool!
