Blakeney Holiday House is clean, spacious, and comfortable. The view from the living room is a fabulous one of Emu Bay. Comfortable beds, good kitchen, quiet except for the sweet chattering of the Fairy Penguins at dawn and dusk in the bush above the beach! Great walks on the beach. We'd come back in a minute!

This AirBnB was a wonderful place to stay while in Kangaroo Island. The location was great, the cottage was cute and cozy, and the view was gorgeous, not to mention the incredible night sky and the frequent kangaroo sightings! I would definitely recommend this place for a stay on Kangaroo Island!

This was a real jewel in the rough. We didn't really know what to expect and were blown away by the place. Its not a palace by any means, but so peaceful, beautiful views, plenty of places to walk to and the beach was spectacular. Would really like to come again.

Shalom House - Private with great sea views

My wife and I spent 3 days at Shalom. Within an hour of arriving we had seen two koalas, several kangaroos and an echidna, all right outside the property. The location was perfect, and the house itself was spacious and comfortable. If you want tranquility and access to lots of wildlife, this is the place to get it. The beach was a short walk away, and Kingscote with its shops and restaurants is a 15 minute drive. We took a trip to Flinders Chase (a fantastic coastal reserve with stunning coastline) and another to Seal Bay, where you can walk amongst a sea lion colony. Both were comfortable drives from Emu Bay. Would definitely recommend Shalom, and if we (hopefully) make it back to Kangaroo Island again, we will aim to stay there again.
