Melaleuca Mansion is a fabulous spot nestled in Vivonne Bay. Private, rustic, clean as a pin, lovely linen and a well stocked kitchen. This is a tune out, chillax and immerse yourself in total peace type of place. We barbecued most nights and enjoyed beach walks when we weren’t exploring the rest of the island. For those new to a composting toilet - it does not smell at all. Very impressed. Also, hot water came on very fast so minimal wastage. Heidi went to great efforts to ensure our stay was comfortable. Thoroughly recommend Melaleuca Mansion.

The place is beautiful! Incredibly peaceful and private. We stayed for 2 nights, and changed our plans so we spent more time at the cabin rather than driving around the island. Sitting on the deck with a coffee first thing watching the sunrise and then reading my book, with the only sound the crashing of waves was a wonderful way to spend a weekend. The place is simple with everything you need and very clean. Loved that we could walk along the small track to the cliff tops and watch dolphins in the water. Will definitely come back to stay!

Quality renovation, great location and thoughtful host. The home has a good layout with bedrooms next to each other, a central bathroom with the living, dining and kitchen near the entry of the house. Emily has the place very well equipped and we had everything we needed for the trip and the activities we did around Kangaroo Island which meant we needed a few rounds of laundry. The place is neat, comfortable and the decor is consistent and considered. Our son loved the place immediately as he was greeted with an Easter egg hunt. Grocery, cafe and restaurants are walking distance as most of them are just down the street. Thank you Emily and family for a wonderful stay, much appreciated.

The Perch is just as good, if not better, than the photos and description. An absolute delight. Host Jenny extremely helpful in all regards - proactive, responsive, thoughtful touches, going out of her way to sort out minor queries and issues. We stayed for a week and didn't want to come home. The nearby beach is amazing and the local Rock Pool Cafe serves fantastic food at lunchtime. We arrived by plane in the early evening with just enough time to stock up on food for the week at Drakes in Kingscote (recommend that as not much nearby otherwise). Allow extra time if driving after dark as you have to go super slow to avoid all the possums and roos on the roads - so many! Best airbnb I've stayed in. Such bliss to kick back and look out at that view....

Marion was a wonderful host, responding quickly to our enquiries. It was peaceful, private & a very short drive to the IGA, cafes, beach & shops of Penneshaw. Was great to watch the sunsets & sunrises from the deck & to see the wildlife. Marion's provisions for breakfast was a lovely touch & much appreciated. If you're looking for somewhere quiet to wind down after a busy day exploring the island, it's the perfect place to be, on the deck watching the sunset, the cows, the birds, the kangaroos & the ferry's coming & going, while enjoying a relaxing drink.

Loved absolutely everything about Rachel’s property. Could not fault this property in anyway. Immaculately clean in every way and absolutely huge could well and truly cater comfortably for a very large group. Honestly the best AirBnb we have ever stayed in it was just so relaxing. I just loved the morning view from the master suite it was a stunning sea view, sunrises were spectacular. Kingscote was a perfect town to stay and visit the island’s attractions, we ventured to all beaches recommended and found the distances easy from Rachel’s place. Pure luxury.
