Family-friendly vacation rentals in Kangaroo Flat

Loved my stay. Perfect for purpose little idyllic spot. I’m a fan of tiny homes and this is a very similar size accomodation. The bed was really comfy and the bedding was pristine. Kitchen is a little dated but completely functional and Jennine has thought of everything her guests may need. The bathroom is beautiful and modern with decent water pressure allowing for a nice shot shower. The bath and the garden were amazing. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to use the bath as I had a lot of work to do during my stay. I did feel a little vulnerable sleeping beneath that huge Manna Gum tree but I did know that was going to be the case prior to my booking. But I could never have predicted the spectacular storm and power cut and sleeping under that tree! I must admin to being a bit worried about it. Jennine was proactive, and she messaged me where to find emergency candles. Couldn’t have asked for a more accomodating owner. Very happy I chose this peaceful place. Thank you Jennine.

If you need some open space, this is the place! The boys wondered around , lots to explore. Surroundings are full of good restaurants and places to see. Very peaceful experience.

We loved this wee lil cabin, exactly what we needed for a belated honeymoon. Surrounded by bush, super quiet, dog friendly, so close to spa's, shops and walks. A great place to hide away from reality, can't wait to come back! Thank you Costa

We had a most enjoyable time staying at Chris's AirBnB. The meal provided to us on the first night was delicious, and the breakfasts were great. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable. Chris was a great host! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay.

What an absolutely magical space! The peppercorn tree and the ivy growing all around was so picturesque and calming. The converted shed was done tastefully and was a very intriguing and interesting home. Absolutely adored the niche touch of the real Ivy creeping its way inside the shed from outside. absolutely gorgeous!

We had a great stay at Daylesford Country Retreats. The accommodation was just as described and as per the photos. The beautiful scenery around the property made our stay so peaceful. We will definitely be coming back again. Thank you for having us!

Beautiful house with stunning views, so peaceful away from anyone where you can all enjoy the beauty surrounding you. The house had everything you need for a great weekend away and felt so at home. Sally was a great host and made check in easy when we were later than planned.

Our stay and studio 1 was amazing! Nicola was a great host, very responsive and friendly when we had requests but also respected our privacy. The studio is decorated Beautifully and we spent a long time admiring her furniture and how well it was put together. We stayed here over our wedding weekend so the photographer came to take some photos beforehand and she agreed they are going to be stunning, the old buildings and beautiful gardens are the perfect backdrop. Couldn’t recommend Nicola’s place more highly for wedding accomodation or just a relaxing weekend away in beautiful Castlemaine.

Really enjoyed this unique accommodation in Castlemaine. Loved the decor and attention to detail. Short walk down the street where we were able to enjoy all that Castlemaine has to offer. This holiday was like an historical immersive experience/ museum. We loved it. The furnishings, the crockery, the knick knacks and the record collection were all excellent We played Trivial Pursuit , whilst listening to Rod Stewart, Rikki Lee Jones and the Beach Boys. What fun. We had an unforgettable stay at Noonanmeena, a stunning passive house set on 20 picturesque acres in Redesdale. The property is beautifully situated, backing onto the Coliban River, with easy access to Redesdale town center, just a short drive away. It's also conveniently located—only 25 minutes from Heathcote and 20 minutes from Lake Eppalock. The house itself is fantastic—spacious, comfortable, and perfect for families. Whether we were relaxing on the deck or taking a dip in the pool, watching the sunset was an absolute highlight. John was an exceptional host—welcoming, accommodating, and great to communicate with. Thank you for making our long weekend truly special—we can't wait to return!

Beautiful location and a charming cottage along with very helpful caretakers allowed for a fantastic stay. Our kids were never bored with so much for them to do on the property, from the games room to the grassy areas and even a river for some fishing, they were well entertained. Very tranquil setting, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommended the cottage to both couples and families.

Very comfortable cottage, with peaceful surrounds and beautiful gardens to explore. Excellent communal facilities. Ticked boxes for all generations (kids, parents and grandparents!)

We had a fantastic stay at Corvah House in Castlemaine with our extended family, including young children. The house was beautiful, spacious, and well-equipped, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing weekend. The highlight was definitely the pool—an absolute lifesaver on a hot weekend! With ample grass area outside too, the the kids loved it which meant we could relax too. Donna was an excellent host—her communication was fantastic, making everything smooth and stress-free. We’d highly recommend Corvah House to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Castlemaine.

Taradale House is the best place to unwind and relax from the city's hustle and bustle of everyday life. We saw blue wrens, rosellas, cockatoos and kangaroos around the property as we scrolled through this scenic location breathing in the fresh country air. The games room kept our son entertained and we enjoyed a game of pool as a family. Skye was always available to help with any queries or requests which she attended to promptly. Andy was similarly helpful and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend this holiday accommodation site to all.

Great place in a great location for exploring the Goldfields. Central to most places whatever you want to do and see with everything you need when you are not seeing and doing
