Gorgeous villa with an amazing view of the lake and lots of space for four couples. The housekeeper, Dileep, was so proactive and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed and offering drinks. We had an amazing barbecue on the last night and the food they cooked for us was always incredible, some of the best we had in Sri Lanka! The downstairs is open to the outdoors so expect some wildlife (geckos and mosquitos) - overall, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay with comfortable rooms and a pool with a perfect temperature!

Our stay at this villa was absolutely fantastic! The villa was in excellent condition, offering a perfect blend of comfort and luxury with a breathtaking scenic lake view. What truly made our experience special was the incredibly friendly and helpful staff, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The convenience of being able to order our preferred food options at a very reasonable price added to the overall comfort of our stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway!

Great place for a weekend away with friends or family. The pool area is as great as you see in the pictures. Clean and tidy place with a very helpful caretaker.

Fabulous location for a pit stop and views are amazing. The food was delicious, staff attentive and we stayed as a group and we all enjoyed it. Note bring mosquito repellent for the evenings if you wish to stay out:)

Best villa in Bolgoda area! Thank you for the fantastic service provided during our stay. The villa is a masterpiece of elegance, boasting spacious rooms, modern amenities, and exquisite decor. We were unable to find the location when we got there but Anill(Care Taker) was really helpful he literally came to where we were and guided us. Sri Lankan Breakfast was brilliant. Villa has a magnificent view and just views the serene water beneath the lovely sunset. The Villa was amazing. Hope to come back soon. Thanks Ayesha for consistently checking on us! ❤️🤩

Highly recommended: Kurokawa Kalutara is absolutely outstanding and a wonderfully charming property. It is peaceful, quiet, well-maintained and well-located. Shamara was very helpful and accommodating of our requests. A special shoutout to her staff members at the property, who were absolutely wonderful and helpful. The chef - Tharindu Asiri - is an absolutely amazing cook and we really enjoyed the food he made, especially the children who were able to choose a number of things which they liked. We were all in the pool several hours a day - the pool overlooks the Kaluganga and the property is really serene and calm. In the evening we also saw bats flying overshead which was amazing. All in all Shamara, Tharindu and the others made my mom's 75th birthday stay, along with my extended family and children memorable. Sri Lanka is beautiful and the people are really friendly - thanks again!

Villa Maggona is an absolutely beautiful property with the most amazing staff. Chef prepares fabulous fresh food, Stanley is a lovely person who will always advise and accommodate. A special mention must go to Sumrita who really is the most beautiful, kind soul who goes above and beyond in her role. She really wants her guests time at Villa Maggona to be special. The garden is maintained every day and the pool is beautiful. You won’t find so much as a fallen leaf lying around. The sound of the waves crashing on the beach are very relaxing. The beach is lovely for an evening stroll. We really did find this home to be a haven. One thing to consider is that you do have to have transport to go to a beach with amenities and/or activities. Tuk tuks are readily available, we used the Pickme app which allows you to book and pay cash once your journey is completed. I would definitely go back to VM and can’t imagine anyone not enjoying this beautiful property and the amazing staff working there.

After a long flight, we spent a relaxing few days at the villa. The villa itself was super clean and provided us with a massive space to relax and enjoy our time in Sri Lanka. We enjoyed spending time in the pool and jacuzzi, overlooking the beautiful lake. The villa staff scheduled a boat tour of the Bolgoda lake for us. The boat picked us up directly from the villa, so we didn't have to drive anywhere. They gave us a beautiful tour of the Bolgoda Lake, which is the largest natural lake in Sri Lanka. There are also other day trips and excursions (taking you to famous Sri Lankan attractions) which can be arranged through the villa staff. We felt very safe, especially during the coronavirus pandemic, as the villa provided a large space where we could spread out, while still being close to Colombo. The villa staff was very kind and helpful. The villa manager was able to arrange food and a driver for us during our stay. The food was delicious and authentic, being sourced from a local restaurant. I would highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a calm, relaxing, and memorable stay in Sri Lanka.

Such a lovely location! I celebrated my daughter's birthday here with our two doggies, and it turned out to be a truly wonderful day. The garden and indoor spaces offer plenty of room, making it ideal for gatherings. The staff were exceptional—attentive, supportive, and genuinely helpful, which made everything run smoothly. I’m so glad I chose this Amy's Haven and can’t wait to visit again!

Really nice host and really nice place. Worth the money

We had a really pleasant stay at VillaMore. The location is ideal for those seeking for a calm place to isolate from the world. The house was very clean and comfortable, the terrase and the yard with a fantastic view to the ocean were our favorite place to hang out. Beautiful sunsets and very nice beach 20 meters from the house. Susan and Ravi were extremely helpful throughout the entire period of arrangement of the trip and the stay. Friendly, responsive and very nice people. Ranjith and Jayanthi living right next door were always there for help. Our family is very grateful for this memorable one week.

Great villa , right on the shore , with private access to the sea . Beautiful beach , right and left cafe , quiet . Huge windows, stunning views , the house has a lot of space and everything you need in the kitchen . The cafe is the next door with the villa ) well, very convenient ) the hostess is responsive and friendly , responds quickly to questions and helped with everything! Vidura and his wife are great host. once we landed in Colombo,he got in touch and was waiting outside main road of his house to guide us. only issue kids had was absence of TV and intermittent WiFi connectivity. everything from room to pool was well maintained and nearby areas can be explored by local srilankan railways too. His house is hardly 100 MTs from Maha induruwa station. thank you vidura and all the best for your future endeavours

A nature haven near and far enough from Colombo We wanted a couple of days away from the bustle of the city. Located just 30 minutes from the city centre this place was an ideal getaway. Our family of 4 (2 little kids) enjoyed the quiet surrounds of nature. The house is nestled in greenery that meets the eye from every room. The minimalist modern furnishings and fixtures let us truly relax, exactly what we wanted to do without any agenda. We enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen. A pizza dinner was had on the main road. Lots of amenities, restaurants and fast food chains, even the mega store Arpico meant we didn’t have to worry about food and drink. And yet this place is so tucked in nature that we could hear birds and all manner of nature in the early morning hours. This place struck me as a great place to host a few couples and families for a weekend of relaxation. Also positioned well to jump on the motorway southwards etc. Highly recommend for one and all!

Such a beautiful tranquil position set in the jungle environment …. Beach accessible via the readily available Tuktuk with the ever available villa manager. Though the spring water pool at the villa was more than enough for keeping cool

Our stay at Randina Villa was simply unforgettable! The breathtaking lake view set the perfect backdrop for our getaway. The villa boasts four spacious rooms, each equipped with AC and attached bathrooms, ensuring our comfort throughout our stay. The owner was exceptionally helpful and kind, always ready to assist with anything we needed. We also enjoyed the cook-on-request service, which provided delicious meals that added to the experience. The peaceful ambiance and well-maintained facilities made it a perfect retreat. I highly recommend Randina Villa for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable escape!

Good place to stay

My family and I loved the house and everything about it. As somebody mentioned before there are 3 bulls/cows, 4 dogs. They don’t bother you at all but the kids didn’t play as much as they wanted in the backyard because they were afraid of the bulls. The house is VERY clean, very comfortable beds and big bathrooms. And most importantly the staff are very respectful and helpful.

We had a great time staying at the villa. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. The breakfast was good, generous and served flexibly whenever we were ready. The garden and the pool are really pretty. Rohan was so accommodating and amazingly helpful with organizing transport and everything else we needed. The two dogs are really cute, especially goofy Mario. All in all I can really recommend staying at the villa, especially if you want to relax with a group of friends or family.

Great place to stay as a group or family in Wadduwa, the spaces and huge with a big pool and direct beach access. The staff were extremely helpful and made us feel right at home, the food prepared for us was some of the best Sri Lankan food we ate during our stay!

We had a great stay at Villa Republic. The team was so friendly, helpful and looked after us from the very first moment. With one of the best cooks, we were spoilt with the most delicious meals. The property was well located on the river, so we were able to take advantage of the water sports right next door. It was only a short 10min walk over the bridge to Bentota beach. The property is huge with 8BR and 6 bathrooms. One of the aircons wasn't working and a couple of the bathrooms needed to be refreshed, but apart from that the property was perfect. Our group of 10 was able to rest and relax. Our 4 night stay was great value, as it included the services of the staff, for whom nothing was too hard. We will be back!

We had a lovely stay at Ingels villa. It is situated right on the beach and had a big lovely pool. My kids loved jumping into the pool right after breakfast. The villa staff were very friendly and we were spoilt with amazing meals. As we could not access the kitchen it would be helpful if there had been some more facilities in the common area, like toaster, microwave and cutlery. That would allowed us to more easily make some food for the kids between meal times. We had some strong winds during our stay which made the sea a bit too rough to swim in for my kids and elderly parents, for the adults it was great and lovely to stay on a beach that was so quite and peaceful. The villa manager Senaka arranged some amazing day trips for us with lots of great experiences for both adult and kids. Our only issue is that we had only 4 days at the villa and wish we had more time!
