Our second trip back! Just the most relaxing place to be, with fantastic sea views. Andrew is a very polite and helpful host. The place has everything you need. Oven, cooktop, grilled plus Weber bbq accompanied by a fully equipped kitchen, modern bathroom and lovely comfy bed. The covered deck is the spot to be! So very relaxing. See you on Trip 3! We absolutely loved our stay at Kapia Lodge. This truly is heaven on Earth! so peaceful and private. We were lucky to have clear skies, so many stars & a beautiful view of the milky way. Kapia Lodge was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The BBQ was great for cooking our meals. Luxurious with everything you need. Would definately recommend!

Nicollette’s place was the perfect getaway—serene, beautiful, and unbelievably peaceful. The sunsets were absolutely breathtaking, and the whole space just had this calm, grounding energy. The house itself was clean and tidy, with super comfortable beds and a pristine kitchen that made us feel right at home. The spacious grounds were amazing to walk around, and in warmer weather, you could just throw down a towel or mat and read on the grass. Loved the little details too—plenty of fridge and freezer space, great WiFi, and even a lawn game to keep us entertained. Plus, Nicollette was an incredible host, super responsive to any random questions we had. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place to unwind for a weekend.

What an absolute gem! The Tinbox is tucked away in the forest, with outdoor bath, hammock, comfy bed, gorgeous kitchen and bathroom. We spent hours listening to the birds, stargazing, sitting by the fire....We loved every moment we spent there. Joanna is an incredible host who genuine cares about her guest. I am already looking at my calendar to see when I can book in another getaway here.

We can't speak highly enough about the place. It's a little haven where the atmosphere and surroundings almost force you to kick back and forget about [almost] everything and just enjoy. The surrounding areas compliment the accommodations, and the local people reflect the laid-back approach to life. With pristine beaches, great food from the local cafes and restaurants through to the weekend markets there is something for everyone here.

An absolutely fantastic place to unwind! Mark was incredibly accommodating, with excellent communication throughout. The location is stunning—perfect for both relaxation and adventure. If you have dogs, they’ll love it just as much as we did! The views are breathtaking, especially at sunrise. Plus, with Waipu and Langs Beach just a short drive away, there are plenty of great spots to explore. The Waipu Glow Worm Caves, only five minutes away, are a must-visit. Thanks again for an amazing stay!"

A small cabin but it has everything you need and a million dollar view. Stayed one night and walked Mt Manaia and Smugglers Loop Track. If you find the grocery store closed after you get down the mountain like I did, try the Deck Cafe and Fish and Chip Shop near it, they have cold drinks and ice cream which is a life saver.

We stayed in Michael's Cabin for 3 nights, unfortunately perfectly in time for an orange weather warning. We weren't able to do as much as we had hoped, but we can confirm the cabin is very sturdy and does not budge in even the strongest gales 😋 The cabin has everything you need and there is an outside cabin for bathroom and toilet. It's directly at the beach and the views from the cabin are really beautiful. Mike and Mark were great hosts and very generous. And if course Buddy the dog was a highlight of our stay.

Loved my 2 nights at Batley The Bach is well equipped with everything required for a peaceful restful stay without the distraction of TV etc. Loved the low tide walks around the coast, the birdlife and jumping fish! 'Love at the end of the road' book gives an insightful look into the interesting history of the area. Thank you Rae and Rex for sharing this magical secret spot.

A special tranquil gem with lakeside access! A very private and quiet place to ‘just relax’ and recharge. I had a fantastic nights sleep and sat outside in the morning sun enjoying my breakfast. Chloe the Lab popped by to make sure I was all settled in (beautiful). The place is very well set up, well equipped and so very private and relaxing. Thank you Christa & Hank. This house was absolutely perfect for our needs. A great location just a short stroll from a stunning beach. We like that there are no shops etc in Lang's Beach but still plenty to do with kyaks and boogie boards provided by the host as well as keys to the local private tennis courts. The layout of the house makes it perfect for families travelling with older children with a large rumpus/bedroom space upstairs and two double bedrooms downstairs. Lots of deck space for outdoor living set amongst beautiful native bush. The interior of the house is a little tired but perfectly clean and comfortable. Liz was a fantastic host. Very responsive with clear instructions.

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely cabin—the view was nice, and we truly enjoyed our time here. It was a great escape from the city. James was very helpful and responded quickly. Our puppy absolutely loved it too! He explored the cabin right away and had a blast chasing his ball in the open area. We recommend it for both humans and furry friends!

Amazing place to stay, easy enough to get to and not too far down the gravel road, but feels super secluded and incredibly peaceful. The treehouse is up the hill from the main house, and all you see from the balconies is lush bush. It was clearly built with great care and attention to detail and maintained in the same way. Has all the cooking gear, coffee, kettle, etc., you need. I cannot recommend it enough and will struggle to find anywhere else to match it.

From very detailed instructions for arrival, and a prepared fire waiting for me, my short stay at this modern luxe cabin was amazing! The beautiful surroundings of this picture perfect landscape with the birdlife and friendly dog Pipi, I felt relaxed, and at home straight away. The cabin itself is a very clever space, such a excellent design, with natural wood and a very well equipped kitchen, the bed was divinely comfortable and the little private deck was a haven! This one is on my Favs!

We stayed at Anne’s lovely cottage for three nights and enjoyed every minute of it . The beds are super comfy so we slept like a dream. The location is beautiful. Nicely nestled into the hill over looking the bay and only a short stroll to the beach and a short drive to the other beautiful bays in the area. The cottage has an everything you need and is spotlessly clean. I haven’t relaxed so much in ages. I think the giant bed with the gorgeous view has a lot to do with it . Anne is super lovely too. Perfect for us in every way.
