Within walking distance (about 600 m) is the river Le Gartempe, where there are plenty of places to take a refreshing dip. The cyclist can also indulge. For the mountain biker (possibly available), touring cyclist and recreational cyclist, there are countless possibilities through the woods, along the river or through the countryside. For the hikers among us, the possibilities are endless. For the horseback riders, there is a riding school a few kilometers away. Our stone gite recently awarded 4★ is an authentic french cottage, thoughtfully designed for a comfortable stay. Set within 3 hectares of peaceful nature, Chenevaux is a calm, spacious home for families and friends. Enjoy slow breakfasts in your private garden, long summer days by the heated pool and cosy evenings sharing meals by the log fire. Ideally located near Saint-Pierre-de-Maillé and the historic town of Angles-sur-l’Anglin, Chenevaux follows the gentle rhythm of French countryside life.

Village house with garden

Located in the center of the village, the house has been recently renovated. It is spacious (around 1100 sq f on 2 levels). On the ground floor you have a big living and dining room , a separated kitchen, and a toilet. The bedroom and bathroom are upstairs. In the bathroom you have a large shower and a double sink, and another toilet. Our own house is right here on the same land so you may see us in the garden. We have set up a space just for you with table and chairs and some long chairs.

Le Hameau du Breuil, located in the heart of the Poitou countryside, at the gates of the Abbey of Saint-Savin (UNESCO World Heritage Site), promises you serenity and authenticity. This unique place will allow you to rest and visit a region rich in heritage and activities (an exceptional abbey, the Futuroscope, the Gartempe valley...). The cottage has a natural pool (10x12m) of a vegetable garden, an organic orchard, a bocce court and a garden out of sight.

La maison Carré - romantic house on river, 2p

The former ferry house has been completely restored and converted into a vacation home for 2 people, since July 2022. Beautiful setting next to the river, l'Anglin, overlooking the bridge, the château and the village Angles-sur-l'Anglin. The house has its own garden, and there is a private beach on the estate. The barque is ready on the river, wonderful swimming in front of the door or further on at the Moulin de Remerle or the Moulin du Pré.

Le Sanglier is a separate 2 to 10 person vacation home. From the inside, there is a passage to the sunny terrace and heated private outdoor pool. In the backyard, there is a shaded terrace with a playground for the little ones. It's lovely to chat on the large lounge sofa in front of the wood-burning stove while cooking in the modern kitchen. Even with a larger group, you will feel right at home here.
