Lovely little gite in the most stunning area at the foot of the castle and overlooking a walnut orchard. Close to many towns and areas of outstanding beauty and interest such as La Roque-Gageac and the ancient fort, Gran Roc with its incredible caves and Salat. Very peaceful place to stay with a delightful bistro 5 minutes walk and walking distance to the river and beach/canoe hire

An amazing stay! We loved the area, the cottage, and the hosts.

We spent a night at Virginia’s place and we did not want to leave, it was so peaceful and relaxing. The parking was easy and next to the property and Virginia greeted us on our arrival. The property was amazing and the grounds very extensive with lovely views. We would definitely stay here again if ever we are in the area. Thank you for the gift Virginia, it was lovely to meet you 😊

Very Fine Location to spent quite and sportive days

The house is located in a secluded plot surrounded by woodland and with amazing views over the countryside. It has comfy beds, a modern kitchen with everything you need, a gas BBQ, a huge deck with outdoor seating and of course the lovely heated swimming pool. It is truly peaceful yet within an easy drive of Montignac with its supermarkets and riverside eateries. Saint Amand de Coly is a great base for exploring the Dordogne by car, with lots to see, visit and do within just half an hour’s drive and more further afield. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this super property.

The best lodging we've had on this month long trip to France. Beautifully and comfortably decorated, private but close to all the things, the best sleep I've had in years, wonderfully appointed kitchen. Heads up that there is a washer but no dryer, but we managed fine with the very large drying rack provided. Would not hesitate to recommend, I wish I had spent more of my time here.

This is really the best place for a stay in Sarlat! Step out of the frontdoor and you are in the beautiful medieval town. Step outside the garden (!) door and there is parkingspace and thus possibility for unloading and uploading your luggage. The house is charming and gives a nice cool when temperatures are above 30 degrees! Sitting in the garden is a pleasure! And feeding Caroline -who can run very fast!) -her half apple a day is also a feast! We recommend this house to all our family and friends and to all you readers of this review. Oh, yes, the kitchen is great! Since we did not want to eat out every day because of the very good food one can buy here and I love cooking, this kitchen is great! Jean Christophe was very friendly in all his communication by mail. (And yes, Albie sells the best!) Nelly was so friendly and sweet when she welcomed us! Thank you both very much! And don’t forget the little Caroline! We never hand-fed a turtle before ! We really grew fond of her! Super!!

Very pleasant place, pleasant and available host for guests. The only downside we had is perhaps the lack of outlets in the accommodation. We didn't think about it but we should have asked for an extension cord or a double socket.

Claude and Marie-Christine's place is a real little haven of peace, very welcoming and responsive hosts. the little outdoor space is very nice and relaxing! Everything is done to feel at home there! nothing is missing! the environment is beautiful and absolutely quiet! it's an address that I keep precious!!

Thank you so much for hosting us. Lou's cottage is really charming, cozy. Super comfortable bed, superb shower room, well-equipped kitchen and nothing better than having breakfast on the terrace with the chirping of birds. We throughly enjoyed our stay. We were met by Laurent's colleague who showed us how to lock the door from the inside. We didn't realize that locking the door from the outside (and unlocking it) would be such a challenge. But Laurent and his wife were readily available both times we needed instructions. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was exceptionally well equipped. In addition to the Nespresso, we appreciated the electric coffee maker with filters provided so we could make a pot of coffee. What stood out- 2 towels plus face cloth per person, the terrace, and a typewritten booklet by the owner with specific info in French and English about the apartment and area. Highly recommend this apartment and we would definitely stay again!

Contact was easy and smooth with Jérémy. Very smiling, punctual and clear in his explanations, he knows how to put you at ease from the start. The apartment corresponded in all respects to the description, it is modern, well-equipped, tastefully decorated and is much larger in reality. It is also very well located in Brive, the hyper center is about a ten-minute walk. Finally, the parking space is an undeniable asset.

Sophie is a very welcoming and pleasant host, responsive. Clean accommodation, very good bedding. you have enough to keep you busy, tours, walks... Don't hesitate to go to Sylvie and Didier's without so much as a second thought. You will be very well received and guided according to what you want to do during your stay.

Perfect location right on the Dordogne, you are virtually with your feet in the water. We were in the upstairs apartment with a conservatory-like porch with sliding windows, so the view of the river is fantastic no matter the season. There, sitting at the large table, you can eat, have a drink in the evening or just watch the hustle and bustle on the river (only canoes/kayaks, no motorized boats). The small terrace is also facing the river side, but you can also picnic or use deck chairs in the large garden. The small kiosk on the beach in front of the apartment has excellent small dishes. We were also thrilled with the surroundings, as you can make different visits every day. Everything was great here. We will be happy to come back. We had a lovely stay, in a very well arranged apartment, very clean, quiet and at the same time close to the center we wanted to visit. A warm welcome.

Maggie has a well-equipped apartment, everything we needed was present up to and including an ironing board and iron. Apartment stays pleasantly cool at outside temperatures of around 30 degrees. On the terrace, there are comfortable armchairs with footstools and a dining table with 4 chairs. During the day, there is a lot of traffic on the road that runs past the terrace and garden. Fortunately, there is little traffic noise in the evening. We could park our car on the premises and with 10 minutes you walk to Sarlat, as well as to the Carfour market. Sarlat itself is beautiful but on a market day too crowded for our taste. In the evening, it is a pleasant town for a snack and a drink.

Accommodation with exceptional views and a very good location. Well-equipped. Very complete. Julie is cordial, prompt response to questions or requests. We had a great time.

My wife and I cannot begin to express our appreciation for Louise as host and our accommodations during our visit to Le Bugue. Louise went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and was responsive and proactive in communicating with us leading up to our visit. The accommodations themselves and the setting is a magical experience and we cannot recommend them enough.

My wife and I stayed at this apartment recently for seven nights. Communication with the host, Muriel, was excellent from start to finish. Check in and out was straight forward as Muriel picked us up at the station and her husband dropped us off. The apartment is located in a quiet residential area, only a two or three minute walk from the centre. It is well equipped for making meals, despite not having an oven, has a lovely balcony and is quiet, especially at night. It also has the bonus of an underground parking space although a small car is required. I would certainly recommend this apartment as a base for staying in beautiful Sarlat and visiting surrounding areas.
