Williamsburg Retreat

KathyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We stayed at Rebecca's place for my son's William and Mary graduation. We were there for three nights. The bedrooms are much larger than they appear in the pictures. The kitchen looks brand new and everything worked perfectly (we didn't do any laundry :)). The house was clean and spacious. We enjoyed the porch in the back as well. Rebecca was easy to communicate with and check-in was a breeze. I highly recommend Rebecca's place - I wish we had found it sooner for some of our other trips to Williamsburg!! Thank you!

Colonial Retreat

We stayed at this AirBnB during the weekend of our son’s graduation. It’s only 10 minutes away from campus but it seemed like a different world as it was almost rural! The house is extremely quiet and has a lovely large backyard. There is ample parking. Every thing is well labeled and the kitchen is well stocked with utensils and crockery.

River House on the James

AngelaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The house was amazing with lots of room and a beautiful view of James River. We saw lots of wildlife like eagles, osprey, rabbits, lizards, deer etc. It is in a great location away from everything and a short drive to ride the ferry to Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown. We wanted to enjoyed all of the historical places since all of my kids love history. One day was supposed to be rainy so we stayed in the Surry area and visited Bacon’s Castle and Smith’s Fort. Both are very interesting places to visit and I highly recommend them. It was my husband and me with our 5 grown up children all ranging in ages of 18 to 31. All of us wanted to visit all the historical spots and even did a Civil War Ghost tour that my youngest son really enjoyed. Everything was great. Coming back to the house was so relaxing either by the tv or making s’mores by the fire pit. The beds are comfy and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. This is a perfect getaway and I hope to stay here more in the future.

Analog Private Beach on 10 Acres

CalebRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Our family had a wonderful time at Jeffrey’s place. The home is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, and had everything we needed (including lots of kids books and toys). My children loved the private beach (it’s amazing) and exploring the property. We found fun shells, and even a few shark teeth. We daytripped to Jamestown and Williamsburg (10 min to the ferry, 20 min to get across) and had a wonderful time at both places. My kids had a blast riding the ferry (getting out and watching from the upper deck is a must). Definitely plan to get groceries ahead of time - it’s pretty remote, in a good way. Lots of fun wild life to spot - bald eagles, turkey, deer, even a skunk! Fun was had by all, we would stay again.

Rochambeau Retreat

JohnRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
My amazing daughter was graduating from A-School in the Coast Guard, and this place was an easy 30 minute drive to Yorktown. Dogs enjoyed their first fenced in back yard. Highly recommend this place…dogs or no dogs…it was spotless clean, with all kinds of homey decor throughout. Even a nice welcome basic of the essentials…never seen that before…very nice touch Heather, even though we brought our own. Thank you for hosting us. You made our 1000 mile drive down there, a home away from home.

Williamsburg Plantation: 4-BR, Sleep 12, Kitchen

StevenRating, 5 stars8 months ago
The accommodations were split between two buildings because they weren’t able to honor a building with a pet friendly apartment upstairs and down but it worked out anyway. I would have to pay $250 for a pet fee for both apartments so because the accommodations were split, I only had to pay one fee. No big deal. It all worked out and we enjoyed the stay regardless.

Charming cottage at a family-owned, lovingly-crafted campground. It suited our needs perfectly. We traveled with our dog and all the other dogs on site were all on leashes and well-behaved. The staff was very helpful and we would definitely stay here again!

5-Star Stay Near the Lake in Williamsburg, VA! I stayed at this property for 5 days and had a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience. The home was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The location near the lake was peaceful and scenic—perfect for morning coffee or evening walks. It was also conveniently close to attractions in Williamsburg while still offering a quiet escape from the crowds. The host was responsive, friendly, and made sure check-in and check-out were smooth. I appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the home that made it feel welcoming. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway near nature in Williamsburg!

Farm Stay - Guest Suite w/ Private Entrance

AlyssaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The farm was an amazing and greatly needed get away from the hassle of city life. My boyfriend and I comfortably stayed here for three days and the space was a bit cramped with our 50 pound dog in addition, but without him trailing on our heels the place was cozy and the perfect little space to relax and unwind.

Bamboo Bungalo Duplex Near Busch Gardens

KristinRating, 5 stars3 days ago
This is our second trip to the Bamboo bungalow and it continues to be a perfect spot for our Busch Gardens / Williamsburg / Water Country vacation! A short drive to all three, and right off the highway -- very easy to get in and out. Plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, etc. nearby. The place itself is nestled deep in the bamboo, which shelters you from road noise and lights. Ample rooms with comfy furniture and a nice assortment of games and puzzles makes it really nice for chilling/relaxing after a day at the attractions. Definitely appreciated all the hooks, linens, kitchen accessories - they kept us organized right to the end :). There is only one bathroom, but the hot water lasted through four showers in a row. A/C and ceiling fans worked great, too. We'll be back!

Ryan's place is conveniently located - 10 mins to Colonial Williamsburg, perfect for our family's visit to the city. The house itself is in a quiet neighbourhood. It is spacious, clean, and well-equipped for visitors who'd like to cook inside. We highly recommend Ryan's place for visitors who would like alternative options other than hotels and resorts in the area.

The Nook

MandyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We started at The Nook for almost 2 weeks and it was very cozy. It's about the size of a nice hotel room. I, for some reason, thought it had a living room, but was that on me as it was nowhere in the description or pictures. Emily was very nice and responsive! There were personal touches throughout which made the stay more enjoyable. The surroundings were incredibly peaceful and beautiful! We saw a group of 4 deer pretty much every night and the frogs were really singing! The location is also super easy access to so many things and a couple minutes walk to the Colonial Parkway. It was a a truly lovely vacation and we're so happy we chose The Nook!!

The Colonial Cottage

MazieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The place is quaint and very well supplied. Maybe a bit too much but I'm sure it is used for other purposes beside just overnight guest based on the China, glassware, etc. The only thing I didn't care for was the size and location of the bathroom. But it was just my husband and I, so it wasn't an issue. Now, the shower is very small and I'm a 5'1" female. My husband is 6 foot, so it was more of an issue for him. But everything else was great. The dogs loved the fenced in yard and all the windows they could look out. It's not a place for multiple couples, but it's fine for parties of 2 adults and maybe a couple of kids as long as you do not need a tub. There is only the small shower and only 1 bathroom at this location. But Sharon and Doreen are excellent host.
