One of the last remaining paradise like places.... it is really hard to leave this dream. Hour long hikes through the jungle, monkeys, arras, tapirs and the puma are close by. Long, beautiful beaches with no one but the sunset in sight. Complete darkness and milky-way over sparkling plankton Susan and Carlos welcomed me into their oasis with open arms and open hearts. They are hard working, loving people taking really huge care of their guests and staying with them was like coming home. Cuddled into the jungle mountain my bungalow was a place for rest and reset. I enjoyed the peace and quiet with no cars or motorbikes and just 5 minutes to the beach so much that i extended my stay from three days to two weeks. there is a restaurant conveniently placed at the bottom of the hill - enjoy a freshly cooked breakfast, lunch (get the boxed lunch for the beach) or dinner. A bar is also part of the families complex where at night you can enjoy a drink with some locals or the other guests.

Nous avons passés 2 super jours chez Marianela. La vue était à couper le souffle et nous avons pu profiter d’une sortie à cheval dans la montagne la journée où nous avons pu voir des toucans, galoper sur la plage et du kayak le soir pour voir la bioluminescence c’était magique ! Le logement était confortable et propre, je recommande !

We had an awesome adventure at Casa Roja, it was a beautiful house in an amazing location. We spotted monkeys from the living room most days, we were visited by the Macaws several times during our stay, and the tours of Corcovado & Canos were spectacular. Graciela and staff were extremely friendly, accommodating, and the prepared meals were delicious. It was obvious that our happiness and comfort was their priority. I would highly recommend Casa Roja for a Costa Rican retreat, just be prepared for the heat. Without a steady breeze or airflow via fans, the heat can be brutal for northerners like us.

Isabel's villa overlooking the rainforest was absolutely amazing. Amazing views over the lush rainforest valley while relaxing on the terrace or taking a shower was truly a unique experience. The house is very large and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Waking up to parrots and tucans sitting in the trees next to the house is the best way to start the day in Costa Rica. Isabel is always available and provided great recommendations including a little hike to the property's own little waterfall. Lots of beautiful beaches and close to Corcovado National Park it was the perfect accommodation for us. 100% recommended!

Casa Cristal was the perfect start for our trip. The house was as described and it made us feel immensely at home. The kitchen was well equipped. The beauty was the natural surroundings and we enjoyed seeing Squirrel and Capuchin monkeys, as well as the beautiful blue butterfly. Communication with Fabian and Douglas was excellent and very helpful. Thank you so much. The cicadas and birds did their best, but sometimes the huge trucks won on the singing score.

Serene escape surrounded by nature’s beauty, in a spectacular lush part of Costa Rica. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the tranquility, breathtaking views, and impeccable design of this hidden gem. A Masterpiece of Tropical Design. The house itself is a work of art, crafted with gorgeous tropical hardwoods that give it a warm, luxurious feel. Every detail—from the open-concept living space to the well-appointed kitchen—has been thoughtfully designed to blend indoor and outdoor living seamlessly. The lanai and pool area along with most rooms have uninterrupted views of the misty green mountains, and the ocean in the distance. The plunge pool and outdoor shower was a big hit with our kids. The attention to detail was amazing, with every linen and furnishing of the highest quality. The location also opened up a less touristic part of the country to us with access to local beaches, seafood spots, and beautiful natural waterfalls a short distance away.

This stay was beyond perfect. The home was spotless, beautifully designed with high ceilings and seamless indoor-outdoor living thanks to massive sliding doors. It was stocked with everything imaginable—top-notch cookware, quality toiletries, even thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. With a child in tow, we appreciated how safe and comfortable the space was. You’re tucked into the rainforest mountains, so brief water or power outages can happen—something we expected and which was well communicated. It didn’t impact our stay in the slightest. Just be sure to have a 4x4 to access the area. Karl and Ivonka have truly created an oasis—every detail made us feel welcomed and cared for. If you’re like us and debating where to stay, trust that this one is even better than the photos. Nearby, Tagua Café is a gem, and the surrounding waterfalls and restaurants made the trip even more special. Truly unforgettable. Thank you!
