I loved staying at Douglas' home on Lake Monona. I was able to sit on his dock and watch the sunset. What a gorgeous setting. Riding his bicycle over to the park on the other side of the bay was a treat as well. I was able to walk to a cafe this morning that had great coffee with a view of the lake. What an oasis!

This place was amazing inside and out. We loved the sun room, the full kitchen, the bedrooms, everything was great. Then, we discovered why this is a “retreat area.” We visited with alpacas on the nearby farm. Just before sunset, we walked around the nearby pond followed by the most beautiful pair of swans and a sanctuary for lovely songbirds. This is truly a heavenly place to stay.

the place was so clean that I took my shoes off in the garage every time I entered the house. Very quiet, family neighborhood on ponds, lots of grass, forest, clean. I was the "church mouse" and was welcomed to come and go as I please which was really accommodating for my schedule. Suzanne was a very friendly and gracious host. Made me feel very welcome in her home.
