Cottage vacation rentals in Inverness

The accommodation has everything you need. We deliberately chose the small cottage as we were looking for something quieter than the City of Inverness and have not regretted it. The house is in an idyllic location and it is also situated in such a way that excursions were possible in all directions. We really enjoyed our stay.

A beautiful and relaxing home to have a perfect break. The host, Maureen has created one of the best Airbnb's we have ever used. Great communication and easy access. The home is high end furnished, comfortable and in a peaceful location. The garden was perfect to relax after long walks. The enclosed space perfect for our dog. Nice touch having tea, coffee and sugar on arrival. Aviemore centre was a 10 minute walk away and short drive to Rothiemurchus leading to a wonderful forest walk to Loch an Eilein. Just further along the road is Loch Morlich. Stunning in the sunshine with marked walking trails around the area. We will definitely use again and recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Aviemore area.

We had a perfect stay! The place was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. I had requested a few birthday touches, and the host went above and beyond to make them special—it really added a personal feel to the trip. Great communication and hospitality throughout. Highly recommend and would love to stay again!

Gorgeous well located cottage, opposite the Lochness hub (info centre) & bang in the middle of the village next to the green. Kate is a lovely responsive host, who adds a personal touch. It was the first time a host left dog treats, tennis ball, blankets & bowls for our dog too, which was so lovely. The cottage is well equipped, charming, with lovely decor. Garden to right is an absolute sun-trap, we could sit out in T-shirts in April with a beer. We spent most of our days hiking 13k+, first we did from the cottage, second drove to Glen Affric. We had a beautiful take out from the Chinese & brought back pizza from the Italian. The Fiddler’s won’t allow dogs in, you must sit outside so we only did lunch there, but one night we had a lovely meal (booked ahead) at the Lockness inn 15 min walk away. If we’d been back from hiking sooner the cafe on the green would have been a good option too, it serves beer & has a nice garden. You won’t regret booking this gem, Thanks Kate :)

Those who like peace and nature will love this cottage in the style of "The Holiday". Authentic, warm and homely. Just like the hosts who are priceless! We will be back for sure.

Wow, what a fantastic place to stay. The highlight for us was watching the deer out of the kitchen window on two separate occasions. Wonderful base for exploring the area. Would love to come back stay again and explore some more.

Staying in North Kessock was just the break that we needed from the busy city surrounds. The property is situated in a peaceful and private location, and is a short drive away from Inverness. Nicola was very welcoming and helpful, and the property was tidy, comfortable and cosy. I especially enjoyed going for a quiet walk down the road and am very happy to have spent some time here.

The Lodge more than met our needs as a base to explore the northern highlands. The many creature comforts helped to make us feel truly at home. The weather was so kind for the time of year allowing us to make full use of the hottub at the end of long days exploring. Our children couldn't get up early enough to "help" feed the neighbouring Highland Coos. We can't wait to come back next year to see how much they have grown.

Beautiful cottage, with absolutely everything you need. Comfy and spotlessly clean. The garden is lovely to look out on from the conservatory when eating. Hot tub in the pretty garden was lovely day or night. Eva was a great host, providing lots of info on checking in etc. The location is really perfect as well, 2 mins walk to the beach, about 30 along the beach to Chanory point, lovely fairy glen walk along burn to beautiful waterfalls. Beach cafe 2mins away and cafe/restaurant Crofters (which you can sit in our takeaway) less than 10. 2 Playparks within a few mins walk as well. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

We stayed here for a week with our grown children and their partners. Alasdair's cottage was perfect. It immediately felt cosy and comfortable. The games barn was a fun addition, and a great place to store our bikes when not in use. We got the hot tub going and once up to temperature it was easy enough to keep it ticking over for several evenings. The kitchen was well appointed, enough utensils, crockery and pans for us to cook each night. The cottage is next to open fields and farm land with quiet roads that lead to Cublin Forest. This was an amazing place to explore on foot and on bike, especially the peninsula that runs along the Findhorn Estuary and into the sea. Deserted beach and inquisitive seals. We also drove about an hour north to do some hiking at Glenmore in the Cairngorms. After our busy days adventuring it was always great to return to the cottage to relax and sleep soundly in the super size comfortable beds.

Would just like to say thank you for my stay me and my family loved it spicily the love for cars and stuff cars what was clear throw out the house as someone who’s into cars my self 10/10 for that one small thing can be tricky to get parked sometimes tho that has nothing to do with host just the street but 100% does not affect the stay just to be mindful other than that 10/10 we place really is thank you so much will be back again!!!

It was a Quaint, quirky, cozy cottage! Very clean and well equipped, had everything we needed. We had a lovely weekend, we didn't want to leave! Perfect, for walking our Chocolate Lab! Relaxing in the hot tub! Thank you Laura, we will definitely be back!😘

Amazing host, who completely made us feel at home. Couldn't of asked for better communication and as for the property , unbelievable. Prime location, and to have an extra warm sauna, extra cold cold plunge, working jacuzzi and games room is almost unheard of. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay . Oli

We had a brilliant 4 day break at this lovely wee cottage. There was absolutely everything we needed for our stay and we loved all the extra wee decorative touches Brett has added too. We were blessed with sun every day and breakfast in the cute wee garden was a great way to start each day. Loved that we were 1 minutes walk from the beach and did a lot of exploring along this beautiful part of the coast. We even did a bit of body boarding in the sea too!! Would definitely stay again.

We absolutely loved our stay at this gorgeous renovated cottage. We loved the decor and feel of the cottage, it was so cosy and comfortable and we loved having the indoor fire. Everything was just perfect. The owners are lovely and helped with everything we needed. Cute towns nearby to explore so it made for a perfect couple of nights on our travels.

Really nice and quaint cottage. Curling up with the fire and just unwinding against the quiet of the surroundings was awesome.

We loved our stay in Brora. The house was well located with comfy beds and a well stocked kitchen. Walking distance to all amenities and would highly recommend a trip to Capaldi’s.

We had a fantastic stay at Corgi Cottage. What a gorgeous home, spectacular location and fantastic host. Liz could not be more helpful if she tried, the cottage was immaculate and we had such an amazing time. It felt so cosy and homely which is exactly what we wanted. We will definitely be back.

Lovely little cottage.

Balbeag is in a tranquil and beautiful spot. The garden around the lodge is fully fenced in, with a secure gate, should you be taking dogs with you. The kitchen is really well equipped with everything you require to cook family meals, including a hand blender and food processor. The communal areas are really comfortable and fairly spacious. We really enjoyed the terrace area; it was the perfect spot for watching the sunset and watching the garden birds visiting the feeders.
