Gitschenen is a year-round inhabited alpine village at 1530 meters above sea level and belongs to the municipality of Isenthal. Isenthal has everything to offer, from the Urirotstock glacier to the beach on the clear Urnersee. Many kilometers of hiking trails invite you to hike and immerse yourself in nature.

For amateurs of POWSURFING (snowboard without bindings) and those who would be curious to discover this beautiful ecological and healthy sport, it is possible to practice it directly from the terrace. Welcome to the Naturfreundehaus Brünig. Lili, Bujar, Damian and the humanfriendly cat Orion welcome you to our hostel, our home and studio. As we have a recording studio here, our house is suitable not only for overnight stays but also for residencies in all the arts. The house is an old, typical Swiss mountain house made of wood - very simply but solidly furnished, showers & toilets are shared. A simple breakfast including drinks can be ordered for CHF 15.

Welcome to Gantrisch Lodge Ottenleuebad! The Ottenleuebad - a power place in the Gantrisch Nature Park and in the first and only official "Dark Sky area" in Switzerland. This small room is ideal for solo travelers or couples for shorter stays. With its approx. 12 m2 and the 140 cm bed, the room is rather small, but has a balcony with a view and, like all rooms, have their own bathroom. Not suitable for baby beds. Looking forward to seeing you soon!
