this is a gem. the place to book if you want to sleep near Chicago, outside of the city center rush, but at only 30 mins from downtown with the green line. The apartment is very well furnished (especially the kitchen !). Niles is an experienced host that provided us with recommandations and guidance for our stay. parking is free. Everything was super clean. check in and check out were smooth and independent. the quality/price ratio is good.

Had a great stay at Thad and Tommi's. Beautiful property, quiet. The studio is closer to the other cabins on the property than I realized, but it wasn't a problem at all. Thanks for a quiet getaway!

A lovely spot! Our family of 4 had plenty of space and great sleeping arrangements (crucial for traveling with preschoolers!) and lots of space for kids to play. David was responsive and helpful. This is a very quiet home in such a great location! We would love to come back again, it was the perfect set up for our family vacation. And bonus, a beautiful restoration of the rectory and obviously very well kept property.

Great stay for a quiet couple of weeks. Very close to the Fox river and downtown area. Parking was very easy and the place was very clean.

The McCully Heritage stay was absolutely perfect for us. The site was so private and serene. Us and our two shepherd mutts had such a fun time exploring. We saw a big old buck deer, a skink, and wildflowers. The cabin was very comfortable and clean, everything we needed. Tons of hot water, a really comfy bed, and great movie DVD selection.

Mat was an amazing host--he was very responsive and instructions were clear. This place is in a beautiful and peaceful neighborhood close to great restaurants and a quick walk to the beach. Not to mention travel is easy and worthwhile being close to O'Hare and North side Chicago. Loved the stay and would recommend!

We rented this for a ministry that came to speak at event. Husband and am wife stayed here and was extremely happy with their stay. They had wonderful things to say about the owners.

Tim and Angie’s place is extremely clean and comfortable! They have thought of everything to make it a great experience. The linens/towels and beds were so comfortable! The wine and snacks were so thoughtful and generous. We really enjoyed how nice the outdoor area as well.

Lovely place, quiet and easy access to St Charles and Geneva! Alejandra was a gracious host who responded quickly to any questions we had. I would high recommend it to others.

This studio really maximizes the space and has wonderful amenities. Rossella is very responsive and available to her guests. She has thought of many little touches that make the stay more comfortable! The pool is fantastic and lots of pool toys for all ages. We really enjoyed our stay.

Our stay with Dawn was wonderful. I was so grateful to be able to bring our dog along with us! The bed was comfortable and the air bnb was exactly as described. There are other rentals nearby, but I didn’t see anyone. It was quiet and peaceful. You can see the river from bed and it’s a short walk. It’s a bit of an incline to get to the river if you have any physical limitations! I would def recommend staying with Dawn!

This sweet little carriage house apartment was a great place to land for us. Squeaky clean, easy access, great light and amenities, close to restaurants, services and the train. Revisited our childhood with a little Donkey Kong on the vintage Nintendo too! We highly recommend!

The three of us (a couple and a single person) really benefitted from and enjoyed Lisa's coach house apartment. It helped us to rest and regroup after each day of busy, large family activities. The beds were great (one was a comfy floor mattress with nice linens), the apartment provided us with quiet, and it is roomy, very attractive, and comfortable. We walked to the beach in the morning and then to get coffee nearby before taking off to go be with family. It was perfect to come back to Lisa's place every night. It took a bit to figure out how the door lock worked, but we did. We would stay there again!

the airbnb was so lovely and spacious for our party of 4! we had 0 trouble finding the home and had the best weekend in chicago reuniting with our friends from college. would def recommend - it is a quieter part of chicago. the walk to little italy is quite lovely and is a quick uber from the west loop

Shelby’s Garden Cottage is the perfect spot for a couples getaway! A chance to get out of the city, this cozy cabin sits on top of a quiet hill next to its owners house, Buddy. Buddy was an incredible host- responsive, attentive, welcoming, yet gave my partner and I privacy to be undisturbed. As a baker, Buddy provided 2 sets of delicious sugar cookies and honey straight from the beehive of the farm this spot is located on. I could go on and on about how amazing our stay was, but I invite you to experience it yourself. Cheers to Buddy and I know for a fact we’ll be back again soon!!!

Jed’s place was a good option for what I was looking for. I didn’t want to stay downtown, and wanted to get more of a residential neighborhood feel to Chicago. I think maybe a nice hotel would have been similarly priced, but it would not have been the same experience! It was about a 12 min walk to the brown line and there was a bus stop right outside the airbnb! Everything was very clean, had everything we needed , pleanty of shower towels, and some beach towels and a small cooler we requested in advance. We also had control over the AC system which was nice since a heat wave hit Chicago when we visited. We do wish the beds were slightly more comfortable (which I guess is objective). Jed did reach out for any requests/etc which was nice. Overall, it was a good experience! Thank you!

The location was quiet and as described. The place was clean and cozy. Amenities were available in the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom (extra blankets, towels, toiletries, iron, pots, plates etc.) I was able to come and go easily. Park in front of the garage as suggested, I parked under the tree and ended up needing a car wash due to the birds. Overall, good communication, quiet space, and nice location to many things in the Chicagoland area.

Great Stay at Amandas. Getting there was super easy and it was a cute place to crash after hanging out in Chicago. A short drive from the train station and walkable to a handful of cute restaurants.
