We loved our stay, it was very cozy on a chilly night. I loved the high ceilings in here, it felt very open and spacious. I’d love to do another’s girls trip here! We especially loved the fireplace and watching old movies on the dvd player.

A historic home that is lovely and well cared-for. It had enough room so each member of our group of 4 could have their own bedroom. A beautiful and relaxing front porch. This place is a good respite from city life, but still a convenient day trip into St Louis if you want to see the sights.

I’ve been coming here since 2018 and it is my absolute favorite getaway from the business of the city. Comfortable furniture and bed, kitchenette is well stocked with supplies, and the rain shower is such a nice treat!! Jilly & KenBob are the friendliest hosts, and at this point feel like extended family. My dogs absolutely love running around the property with all the smells, woods to explore, and the river & lake to swim in. I could go on and on….its never goodbye, it’s see you next time!

Tony and Liz were great hosts! They replied quickly to our messages and check-in was easy. The house was clean and peaceful. The farm is beautiful and very welcoming. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing farm experience this is a wonderful place!

Cozy cabin great for our overnight getaway. Everything was spotless and clean. The host lives next door and is very friendly and accommodating.

The cottage was lovely with much care to all guest needs. The location was very lovely in the forest. We hope to make it to the winery in the future but didn’t have time this trip.

This cabin is beautiful and has everything you could need. Sunrise on the back porch is amazing and lots of space to toss the ball for the pups. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at Kaloni's place. Her barndominium is just close enough to Georgetown to feel connected, but just far away enough to feel private. Kaloni is a responsive and welcoming host and we felt well taken care of! We'll probably stay here again in the future!

Beautiful country setting with lots to do on the property for my adult family of 5. The pool table, hot tub, and fire pit were wonderful!! We were just minutes away from dinner and a grocery store. We were just 20 minutes from hiking at the Garden of the Gods. We landed at Kevin's after a 4 day, 3 night back country hike and could not have been more comfortable! It was a wonderful place to relax and recharge.

I recently have the pleasure of staying at this charming farmhouse. It’s a true gem. If you’re looking for a tranquil getaway surrounded by nature I highly recommend booking this beautiful farmhouse. Will definitely come back to book again.

Rebecca's home was very nice, clean, quiet and spacious. We were a family of 4 that traveled to Illinois for a graduation in a neighboring town. Rebecca was very accomodating with our check in time to aid us in preparing for our graduation. The home is in a rural-farming community, Which made us feel right at home as we are small farmers too. It was very peaceful. As we travel back to the area, we definitely will stay again.

10/10, one of the standout airbnbs I’ve stayed in. Definitely the most helpful hosts. Emma’s guidebook that was provided upon booking helped us plan our trip. Everything was clean and stocked with what we needed. Braxton and Emma went above and beyond and installed a firepit prior to our arrival after we inquired about one. If you’re going to Shawnee Forest, book this spot!

This was one of the best stays my family and I have had! The barn itself is beautiful, but what my boys enjoyed the most was the property. We got lucky with a beautiful 50° December day. We walked the trails, threw rocks in the pond and went on scavenger hunts. Highly recommend staying here!

If you are in need of a reset from the various pressures and stresses of life, I highly recommend securing a getaway to Beth’s Galena Haven property. We enjoyed quiet and tranquil mornings in which we were greeted by the beautiful songs of birds and whistles of wind. Like many, my wife and I needed time away from our busy lives in a much busier environment and this experience was precisely what we needed. Thanks Beth and Family for sharing your home. The host was very nice. The home was nice and comfortable, it was very clean. Also, had a nice yard. Would definitely recommend!

My family and I had such a fantastic stay at the Horsemeister Foaling Apartment! Judy, our wonderful host, was always easy to communicate with before and during our visit. The apartment itself was beautifully furnished and spotless—seriously impressive given that it’s on a working horse farm, with no dirt or dust at all. It was just the right place for us to stay overnight for a family event nearby. The highlight (especially for this horse-loving girl, haha) was getting to interact with Judy and her horses. She kindly showed me around the farm, sharing stories about the land and her family's history. I loved meeting each of the horses personally—absolutely magical! Judy also took me to see their amazing "Barndominum" event space, which features a full indoor basketball court, a spacious kitchen, plenty of dining space, and several bedrooms and bathrooms—it’s truly impressive! Judy, a big thank you for your warm hospitality and for making us feel like part of the family. Hugs!!

We had a great time at Ollie's place! It was super comfortable and cozy, just the right size for our family of four. We even lucked out and got to tag along on a tour of the farm and Ollie gifted us a dozen farm fresh eggs! Thank you for making our weekend lovely.

This was a great place to stay. There were 5 adults, and one bathroom, but it worked out just fine. The AirBnB is just what we needed it to be. We appreciated the privacy, outdoor seating, firepit, and the goats! This is a small place out in the country but close enough to anything you need. The property is very well maintained and private. I took walks down the road every day and always felt safe.

The Potel is an amazing spot for a peaceful getaway. The tiny house and the surrounding property is very clean and well maintained. The location within Shawnee is great, as you are no more then a 15-40min drive from great hiking. The abundance of fireflies at night was an added bonus!! Would highly recommend staying at the Potel!!
