Vacation rentals with breakfast in Iceland

This is one of the best Bed and Breakfast experiences you can have in Iceland! The host family lives there, giving you a homey feeling, a wonderful homemade breakfast and good conversation with ideas about what to do in the area if you ask.

The street is very noisy but everything else was great!

I had an amazing experience at this Airbnb! Birgir was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The space was spotless, cozy, and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was our Iceland story time with Birgir—his captivating stories gave us a deeper appreciation for the country and its culture. His passion for the environment was truly inspiring, motivating me to become more proactive about global warming and environmental responsibility. Birgir also recommended trying an Icelandic swimming pool, and we absolutely loved it! This was a truly memorable stay, and I can’t recommend it enough!

Das Zimmer bei Gudrun war perfekt. Es ist ausreichend groß und hat Zugang zu einem Balkon. Die Küche und das Bad werden gemeinsam genutzt, was aber kein Problem ist. Das Frühstück fanden wir super. Gudrun ist sehr freundlich und hat uns viel über die Gegend und Island erzählt. Wir würden es wieder buchen.

Great accommodation for 3 people. The location is convenient for a stop on the ring road. The room, toilets and kitchen are very clean. This farmhouse is very cozy, it has a pleasant library on the ground floor ideal for sneaking into the many books of Iceland. We met lovely people who also drive the ring road. Absolutely recommendable!

Gutti and Svana were amazing! We had some difficulty finding the house, but Gutti drove around town to find us. Once we arrived, they were extremely kind, warm, and welcoming. We had the entire house to ourselves. They stayed in their unattached sunroom and made themselves available to us for whatever we needed. They showed us how to use the hot tub, which we thoroughly enjoyed. To make us comfortable, Gutti found a good radio station for us and brought over a couple of cold Viking beers. This was the most relaxed we were on our 11-day trip. Gutti and Svana felt like family at the end of our stay. They were incredible and generous hosts, and we would highly recommend staying with them.

Everything was perfect. I was there with my boyfriend, super clean, and the owner is very sweet and help us to go around Iceland. Merci

It took some effort to find this place, but it was definitely worth it. The house is clean, the host is friendly, and although it's across the river from Akureyri, it's not too far—after all, most people staying here are probably driving anyway. Overall, I'd give it a 4.2 out of 5.

O apartamento é ótimo, bem espaçoso e tinha todos utensílios que precisávamos. Foi ótimo poder lavar algumas roupas. O apartamento está muito bem localizado, existem alguns restaurantes e um supermercado nas proximidades. Inclusive tivemos nosso voo cancelado por conta do tempo ruim e os anfitriões foram muito educados e solícitos.

Virgie fue muy amigable en todo momento. Nos atendió muy bien, la habitación estaba limpia, contaba con un mueble para dejar el equipaje, lo que es conveniente y la cama fue muy cómoda. Si bien el alojamiento está un poco alejado de la ciudad, para nosotros no fue un problema ya que contábamos con vehículo arrendado. El desayuno fue bastante contundente y variado, se agradece la fruta. Tuvimos una buena experiencia en el alojamiento.

Super schöne Unterkunft auf einer Farm. Mirjam bietet leckeres Frühstück und Abendessen. Wir waren total zufrieden und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt 👍

Anna is an amazing lady who will entertain you with his local stories. Also, she provided excellent suggestions of places to visit. I got upgraded for free to the flat and it was such a great place. I wish I could live there. You can not go wrong by booking this place.

Ylfa’s huis is echt een parel. Mooi van binnen en van buiten. Het is knus, ligt op loopafstand van het centrum en heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. Je hebt echt het gevoel dat je even in Reykjavik woont in plaats van dat je toerist bent. Wij komen zeker terug.

The location’s hard to miss, at the end of one of the roads. The room’s small but sufficient. The passcode system is great since that takes away the hassle of having and possibly losing keys. The private bathroom has a tiny sink and the water from the shower leaks easily to the other parts of the bathroom. That aside, the breakfast was amazing and the spread was impressive. Will stay again.

Had a nice stay in the guesthouse. Everything is brand new, really comfortable shower and bed. Breakfast is ready the night before so you can take it the next day whenever you want.

Great place to stay! Check-in was easy with clear instructions. The place was in a peaceful location but close to a lot of nearby attractions. The host made delicious waffles and was very helpful and had some great stories. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing!!! This was our one airbnb to break up a campervan trip around the whole ring road and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. The food was all homemade and delicious, especially the bread and waffles. Our host was so lovely and showed us around the farm where we had such a great time meeting the sheep and horses! After passing by so many in Iceland, it was a real treat to be able to pet and see the horses up close. The spaces were perfect as well, nice big rooms with an attached bathroom. Fridge and freezer space, laundry, coffee, tea, and a warm welcome from the family dog, we can’t wait to come back! <3
