Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Hveragerði

The renovated water tower is a lovely and clean home. There are large sliding doors on each floor that open up to give access to the outdoors or cool off the home. The main bathroom with a shower is located on the ground floor and comes with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. There is also a hair dryer and many towels available. The bathroom on the second level was small and could be accessed through the main bedroom. The kitchen was bright and open. There was plenty of seating for the 4 of us, although the bench seat by the kitchen table could be thoroughly washed. Plenty of dishes and kitchen essentials. Washer and drying rack were a pleasant addition to the home and made traveling light easier. The rooms were cozy and the beds are comfortable. The stairs are steep but easy to navigate for our children (ages 7 and 9). The views from inside and from the deck are beautiful. The two birds nesting outside are quite friendly. Earlier guests named them Chuck and Larry.

Absolutely amazing spot & even better hosts. My husband and I came to Iceland for a vow renewal after having to change our wedding plans due to COVID 5 years ago (we originally planned an elopement in Iceland), and Anthony went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time, and we did! Overall, this was an absolutely outstanding stay. Every single thing we needed was managed quickly & Anthony went beyond anything we could have asked to take care of us. Plus, the airbnb itself was so charming. Definitely recommend if looking for a quaint port town close the Reykjavik! I wouldn’t come here for a more isolated experience or to get away from the hustle of Reykjavik, but I think the port town was a great alternative to staying in Reykjavik itself.

Amazing accommodation! We would have liked to stay longer as there was so much to do! Impeccable accommodation and very well equipped (washing machine / dryer / very well-equipped kitchen). Special mention for children's games, our son really enjoyed it. A bit far from the main road but the environment is beautiful and very quiet.

we really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is setup very well and very comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring the south west of Iceland.

What an amazing place. The cottage is located in a beautigful fjord with an uncredibld view towards the sea and mountains partly covered in snow. We enjoyed our stay to the fullest. Highly recommend staying in this beautiful cottage as it is a great spot to chill, relax and have a great time with family and friends. We will be back. Thank you so much guys! Unnur è stata molto amichevole nei nostri confronti. Quando siamo arrivati era all’ingresso della sua abitazione con il marito, abbiamo scambiato quattro chiacchiere, il che ci ha fatto molto piacere. L’appartamento corrispondeva alle foto, era pulito e situato in un bel quartiere tranquillo. Unnur ci ha fatto trovare anche del buon caffè…apprezzatissimo!

Liebevoll eingerichtetes , gut ausgestattetes und sauberes Haus . Sehr ruhige Lage und von hier aus ist der Golden Circle wunderbar entspannt zu erkunden . Es gibt in Selfoss sehr gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Trausti ist sehr angenehm und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen.

Nicht nur die Unterkunft an sich, sondern auch die gesamte Umgebung waren wunderbar. Es gab nach der Buchung auch viele hilfreiche Informationen zum Beispiel welche Autovermietung gut ist. Die Kommunikation war einwandfrei. Wir würden diese Unterkunft definitiv wieder wählen.

Home in Reykjavík was perfect - great location with parking , great kitchen, bathroom, and super comfortable bed - I loved it. Prior to arrival Thordis sent me a number of messages which included details on the apartment and its use, and information about sites of interest in the Reykjavik environs. Perfect place to stay- SUPER close to the airport for late night arrivals (like us) or early departures. Beautiful view. Very spacious and clean. Highly recommend.

Hermoso apartamento con una excelente ubicación, disfrutamos de un gran espacio con camas cómodas. Silla es muy amable y su esposo también, pudimos saludarlos a los dos. Si tiene la posibilidad de hospedarse en este apartamento, no lo piensen dos veces.

Nous avons bien aimé l endroit, calme et proche de la mer . On s est bien sentie dans le logement plutôt cosy. Quelques mots d échange avec Dana, sinon plutôt discret. Beau petit village coloré à 10 min de Selfoss...

Welcoming and cosy place, as soon as we arrived we found everything very clean and tidy, kitchen equipped with everything you need to prepare something to eat, very clean bathroom, room equipped with Smart TV and vacuum cleaner. The owner of the house is always available for any eventuality. If I were to return to Iceland I would gladly book another stay with him.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Unterkunft ist einfach ein Traum, schick und modern eingerichtet, alles was man braucht ist da. Es war sauber und wir haben uns gleich wohl gefühlt. Die Aussicht ist natürlich ein Highlight, welches wir jeden Morgen beim Frühstücken genossen haben. Wir würden wieder kommen :)

The place is maintained very well, has very nice warm vibes and good interiors. The location of the place is excellent, one can just spend days looking outside from the balcony.

The Airbnb was easily accessible and well equipped with washing machine, dryer and fully equipped kitchen. There was also a designated parking spot for your vehicle. Magnus was responsive and extremely helpful in answering any queries. Would recommend this place

Beautiful apartment at a new development, easily reachable by car. We found everything we needed here as a couple visiting Iceland for the first time. The place is very clean and modern, and is a cosy and comfortable base while exploring the stunning country.
