Hekluhestar farm guesthouse

Our guesthouse was built by my parents, with the idea that it would be similar to the viking houses in the old days : a big open space, divided in three parts. It's nothing too fancy, but all basic necessities are here ! You also have access to two extra bathrooms and showers, and a sauna. The farm has horses, sheep, chicken and dogs roaming around ! The accommodation is strategically located, about one hour from Reykjavik, from the black sand beaches of Vik, and from the Golden circle.

A beautiful cozy cottage

My cozy cottage offers a warm atmosphere year-round and is just a 5–10 minute walk from town, with supermarkets, cafés, and restaurants nearby. The cottage has a small kitchenette with a mini oven and hot plates for simple cooking. Coffee, tea, and essentials are provided. A loft with an extra double bed is usually closed but can be opened upon request for a small cleaning fee. Nearby is Reykjadalur, where you can relax in a natural hot river surrounded by beautiful scenery year-round.

Strýta Apartment 2

This apartment is located in a beautiful and peaceful environment with a great view and Icelandic horses in their natural surroundings all over. Private parking and nice roads from the high way(Road 1). Perfect for 2 guests but also with a nice sleeping sofa so it is possible to accommodate 4 guests. The apartment is 27 m² (290 sq ft) with a shower in the bathroom and a kitchen with all basic necessities. Brand new apartment that is ready we started hosting guests the 15.June 2017

Spectacular place´ Wake up to the ocean dancing, birds singing and seals right outside your window. Approximately 50 kilometres outside of Reykjavik, more precisely, in Hvalfjordur is a little cottage located right by the ocean shore. Gamla húsið is in Kirkjuferjuhjaleiga horse-farm, located in the south of Iceland, 35km -from Reykjavík in Ölfus and 3min. drive off Route 1. Perfect base location to explore the south of Iceland. My place is close to great views. You’ll love my place because of the location, the outdoors space, and the ambiance.
