What a retreat this cottage was. It looks just like the pictures, although honestly surpassed my expectations in how cozy and homey it felt. The views of the water between the trees, the big window, and just generally extremely well appointed home with everything you need. A great location. I was looking forward to using the turn table, although it was not working while I was there, Matthew was extremely responsive trying to problem solve it with me over text. The Apple Music was a great substitute to have on while making dinner. Working in health care, I tend to crave retreats every few months and this provided me with the serenity and cozy relaxation I needed. Thank you! I will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay. The cottage has so much charm and character. Just the escape we needed at the lake.

This was the perfect get away for our family. The private fenced in lot had tons of space for our dog to play. The large mature trees felt like we were deep in the forest but the lake was only a few steps away! The beach was clean and private. The cottage was perfect! We felt right at home, with all the amenities that we needed. Moon was easy to deal with and very helpful. We would definately rent again, and recommend to friends and family!

Will be using again for future trips back to the area

We spent our family reunion here at Zac’s place for the Easter long weekend and had an amazing time. Our stay was better than expected with everything you can think of. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub, bonfire, theatre room downstairs and the kids loved having the entire upstairs to themselves. The Alexa speaker all around the house was an added bonus. We cannot thank Zac & his family enough for the accommodation. We would love to come back & create more memories with our family in the near future.

This was a quiet, private, peaceful, and beautiful location. The house was nice with plenty of room for everyone. Being right on the water was what we wanted. The amenities were exactly what we wanted. The heated floors were awesome. Close to a town but still secluded. One thing to be aware of is having to rent linens at $20 per person which nobody expects to travel on vacation with bedsheets and thought it would be something included for the cost. Also, we were warned about the potholes in the road to the house but they were pretty drastic! All in all, would book again and hosts were very attentive.

Chris was a pleasure to deal with, responds very quickly and was so helpful. The property exceeded our expectations, and when it states it’s fully stocked, you better believe it! We brought way too much stuff that we didn’t even need, cause this place had it all!! Super clean, gorgeous views, and the neighbours so nice and friendly. Would have been a perfect weekend if Edmonton would have won that hockey game last night, but that’s not Chris’s fault😅. Would love to stay again in the future. Great experience!

Sara was an excellent host! She was quick to respond, gave clear instructions and was very understanding of our needs. She had the fire going for us inside which was so nice! I very much appreciated her flexibility with check in and out! The home was beautiful and clean - it had everything we needed and felt like a home which is so nice! Loved the huge dining table for us girls to gather! The beds were a 8.5/10 which is a win. There was not complete privacy and we did feel out in the open at the fire pit - I’m sure summer is even busier! The sunset was stunning - the stairs to the beach were intense - great exercise but be prepared. Neighbour’s were friendly. I’d say the only negative (which isn’t really negative), was the living room furniture., it was somewhat uncomfortable because it has been used. A plus was being so close to Grand Bend for all your needs! Thanks Sara - we hope to return!

My family and I stayed at this wonderful cottage for 4 days. It was everything I wanted- cozy, clean, and right on the water. We really enjoyed fishing and sitting outside. The water is really clear and clean. We loved exploring the small towns. The cottage is fully stocked with everything you need for your stay. I am really looking forward to returning in the future!

Booked as a surprise birthday gift for my senior Mom, she absolutely loved everything! She jokingly asked if I could book her another few days as she didn't want to leave, the view was the best she had seen and was thrilled when she arrived to find delicious treats left by the hosts., David even got in touch the day prior to say that they could check in early ..definitely will return!

Very beautiful backyard with hot tub, sauna and fireplace. Had great afternoon grilling on patio. Spacious and comfortable seating in lounge and backyard. Look forward to visit again.

Our family had an amazing stay! There were so many tho bc a to do in the area and the property had all of the amenities you could ask for. There were so many great areas of the space you could relax and spend quality time together. We loved our stay and hope to be back!

We were grateful to stay at Janet’s place. We needed a home base for 7 days to move our Mom into long-term care at Trillium Court, in Kincardine. We needed beds, the beach was wasted on us, no time to enjoy the patio, yard, beach or kitchen amenities. We travelled from Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island. We would stay here again, and highly recommend Janet’s Place. The sunset and beach look amazing.

We stayed at Ashley’s cottage for a week. We loved the easy assess to the beach and every day enjoyed walks on the beach to get to town. It was a very neat experience living at a beach town. The cabin was very clean and since Ashley made it very clear in her instructions about no linens or toiletries, we came well prepared and had everything we needed for the week. The view of the neighbour’s backyard was a little to be desired but if you angled the lovely porch chairs just right we could ignore that and had a wonderful view of the water and all sand. The cottage was warm and comfy for the four of us and we loved staying there.

I had such a lovely stay at this place! The space was exactly as described clean, cozy, and well taken care of. She was incredibly kind, responsive, and made sure I had everything I needed throughout my stay. You can really tell how much thought and care goes into hosting. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay. Thank you again for everything

Magnifique endroit! Hôte très sympathique et très réactive. Décor sublime, maison magnifique! Paysage juste incroyable avec l’eau cristalline juste wow ! L’eau potable était salée et imbuvable pour nous, ce qui est possible avec un puit. Nous avons acheté de l’eau en bouteille et c’était parfait! Laurie est d’une gentillesse et d’une réactivité hors pair ! Je recommande cet endroit !

L’emplacement est tout simplement WoW ! La plage est magnifique et d’être située directement sur celle ci, c’est merveilleux! La distance entre la rue principale et le chalet est parfaite, assez près pour y aller à pied avec les enfants et assez loin pour être tranquille. Nous y étions 2 familles de 4 et l’espace était suffisant pour qu’on y soit tous bien ! Shelly est très accueillante et toujours disponible au besoin !!!

Paradise found with this Lake Huron retreat. Lorraine is a superb host. Upstairs master bedroom with en-suite bath and closet is spacious and can easily sleep a family of 5. Sunsets are incredible over the water. So much space to relax and unwind inside and out. Games room in garage was a great bonus for kids and adults to enjoy. Would highly recommend property and host!!

Excellent stay for beautiful sunsets and stargazing. The place felt very private, calm, and peaceful. The sunset views are the best part during our stay. Plenty of activities to do and it's close to Bayfield for quick errands. Our host, Jacob, is very responsive and communicative. Will definitely recommend.

Amanda's cottage was great for a relaxing getaway. The highlights of my stay were: - a beautiful lake view from the dining area, living room and upper deck with full sun until late evening - receiving great suggestions for local food and day trips - great response from Amanda and team - a day trip to Creemore - just a half hour's drive away - a beautiful kitchen for cooking - the decor and design books throughout the cottage - the extras provided

We had the most wonderful visit at Dewey's cottage. When we entered the house, we were greeted with the fresh smell of a clean house! There were 2 bedrooms on the main floor, and two in the basement. We were two families, so this set up was perfect, as it allowed each family to have some privacy. The pool, big yard and trampoline were all a hit with our kids. The kitchen was stocked with lots of cutlery, plates, cooking items and basic condiments. The beach was within walking distance - and the view of the lake could be seen from the house which was breathtaking. We absolutely loved our stay. Highly recommend!

It was a delightful experience from start to finish. The cottage offered great lake views on the water’s edge, especially during sunrise and sunset. The outdoor space was the highlight of our stay. There was also a fire pit, which made for cozy evenings under the stars. The property had direct access to the water, allowing for easy swimming and kayaking. The owners provided kayaks and life jackets, which was a nice touch and added to the overall experience.
