Vacation rentals in Hunstanworth

We had a lovely stay in Blyth. The flat is clean, extremely well equipped, with easy parking. We stayed with our two young children and they loved exploring the brilliant park across the road from the flat. We also appreciated how child friendly the property was. It was the perfect base for visiting family and we would definitely stay again.

Highly recommend staying at the Magical Cottage. One of the best places we've stayed - so cosy and homely, with everything you need, quiet and peaceful yet close to so much gorgeous countryside and great places to visit and eat. The cottage was incredibly well equipped and Susan left a generous welcome pack with lots of tasty goodies! Bottle feeding the lambs each morning was the absolute highlight, as were Susan and Jim who were so friendly and helpful.

A really enjoyable couple of days away in a beautiful glamping pod. It was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The welcome basket was a lovely touch

Great 2 night visit. Owners lovely and place very unique. loved the warm, cosy bothy and perfect setting.

We had a family break, 3 generations celebrating our son’s birthday and we absolutely loved the cottage and the location is stunning. I would definitely recommend staying here, for the young ones having Wi-Fi was a bonus although they spent a lot of time outside walking and in the wonderful hot tub. Just a fantastic time was had by all.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Michael as he was away but we did meet the lovely Carol who was there on our arrival. We had a brilliant 2nt stay in the Partridge Hut. It was exactly the same as the photos. A comfortable bed and large powerful shower. It had everything you needed for such a compact space. We were fortunate with the weather and were able to use the outdoor seating and even got the fire pit going on the 1 nt. It was lovely to wake up to the birdsong and the little bunnies hopping around. We ate at the Milecastle Inn which was recommended by Carol and was spot on and then had fish and chips at the Ocean takeaway in Haltwhistle the last nt. Hadrians Wall is just on your doorstep and the Lanercost Priory which is in walking distance from the hut. A great tearoom and gift shop there too. If you’re after a quiet and relaxing time, Michael’s place is perfect and we will definitely return.

The property is absolutely stunning . spotlessly clean and beautiful decorated. The grounds are lovely and tge birdsong in the evening is something to behold Carrell is a lovely host and provided lots of bits and bobs for us such as milk Bread butter biscuits etc . We will definitely stay here again when up in this part of the country .

We really enjoyed our stay at Melanie’s. The house is really comfy, cosy, well-appointed and welcoming. We found it deceptively spacious and we loved the big rooms. The beds are very comfy and the house is warm on cold days and airy when it is hot outside. It’s extremely handy for day trips to Beamish and it’s close enough to make an easy journey into Newcastle. We found the parking was a tight squeeze but Melanie’s advice on how to manage this was spot-on - she is a very helpful host. Event though the house is on a narrow terraced street, the neighbours left us space to get the car in and out, and we found the house private, quiet and peaceful. We had everything we needed in the house and there are lots of extras like Netflix and Freeview on the TV as well as lots of books and DVDs. The chip shop down the road served us huge portions and was tasty - we also recommend the Stables restaurant at Beamish Hall. We hope to stay at Melanie’s again and will be recommending it to others.
