Our 2015 fully renovated vacation home on the foundations of 1895 stands on an old indoor dyke. The south-east terrace and the garden offer an unobstructed view over the meadows. Halmhuset - The Straw House

Our thatched house is probably the only "Halmhuset" that is rented as a vacation home in Denmark. It is breathable, made of clay and straw, and is sustainably supplied by heat pump and photovoltaics. In summer, the thick walls provide pleasant coolness, in winter it is cozy and warm, with a room height of up to 4 meters. A real feel-good place for up to 8 people, located at the gates of the city of Tønder, close to the Wadden Sea National Park and the islands of Sylt and Rømø.

Outdoor thatched roof, interior unique design

The house has been newly renovated and has a particularly unique furniture with love of detail. The house has a large garden with fire bowl where every summer night becomes a beautiful memory. In the immediate vicinity (10 km) you are already on the North Sea and after only two railway stations you are on Sylt. Not only in summer is the cottage a popular travel destination, even in winter it impresses with its coziness to which the stove in the living area contributes.

Huset har stor dejlig sydvendt lukket gårdhave, hvor man kan nyde solen hele dagen. Der kan parkeres på gaden tæt på huset to timer gratis mellem 10-18 på hverdage og lørdag mellem 10-14. Charming “chapel” in the north German Bullerbü

Our small "chapel" is located on a former farm between the Schlei and the Hüttener Berge Nature Park. Peacefully nestled between meadows, fields and moors lies our unmistakable "mini village". Four families live with us, with a total of five children, as well as a friendly Hovawart dog, four cats, a rooster and two hens. All two and four-legged friends run free on the premises, there are no fences or gates with us.
