House vacation rentals in Hucknall

We had a lovely time staying at the Old Angel with a large group of women. The sheer number of bathrooms was super handy with the large group number, and the living and dining spaces were super functional for a group of our size. There is a one half freezer and a large fridge, which Nicola had left some treats in which was a lovely touch. Bedrooms were well organised and very clean, with towels provided. There’s a village shop right next door, and a pub 20 meters away which was glorious in the May sunshine. Nicola and her team were very helpful in response to any questions/feedback we we had - overall we had a lovely stay and I would recommend this place to others!

A thoroughly enjoyable stay. Wonderful location, the kids loved having a pool and playground (or 2 if you count the pub playground) at their doorstep. The views were lovely too. Also a testament to the layout was how easily pur kids ended up making friends with other kids there over such a short period. The only 2 things I would change - beds were too hard for me (but that is personal preference) and the showers weren't the best - though showers in the pool area were perfect. Clearly not something that would change my 5 star rating. A couple of other points - being so close to Carsington Water (1 minute drive) was superb. Ashbourne and Matlock also close and lovely locations - very much enjoyed our little excursions there and to The Heights of Abraham. Thanks, a lovely stay.

The house was absolutely incredible and excellent value for money. It was in stunning surroundings, the hot tub was amazing and the exclusive booking system for use of the pool was a lovely addition. The house was spotless and full of character and the private garden was also wonderful. The beds were really comfortable and there was just the right balance of charm, space and comfort. We definitely struck gold when booking this gem. Thanks so much for all of your support in making this a trip to remember!

What a fantastic place! We stayed for two comfortable nights with our children and dog and had a fabulous time. We had a picnic on the lawn overlooking the Vale of Belvoir, ran the dog around the many fields surrounding the house and spent time watching TV and playing with the kids in the front room. Richard and Jo had put out the cot ahead of our visit, and even had bed bumpers ready for toddlers. The house is spacious and well appointed in a fantastic location.

It was lovely inside and out and spotless there was 11 of us staying aged from 45-11 and not one of us had any faults they all thought it was great the only thing that the teenagers complained about was the pool closed at 6:30 and we had only gotten back from Alton towers at 6pm so maybe keeping it open a little bit later would benefit the younger crowd.

Lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings, very clean and tidy. My children loved the pool and games room. Easy to get to all the main attractions will be coming back soon. Thank you for a great stay!

We had a great stay at knockerdown. We loved the pool and the play park was perfect for the children to play while I got dinner done. Overall it was a lovely environment and so close to local amenities. I am looking forward to staying again soon.

I stayed with my family at the cottages on a trip to Alton Towers. I would recommend it to anyone very spacious, clean and great communication with the staff. Lots on site to keep the kids entertained. Would definitely stay again

Lovely accommodation in a beautiful location. The property has everything you need for a nice relaxing stay and is absolutely spotless. Sarah was a great host, always available if you required any information. Check in was simple and the free parking outside the front door was a big plus. Nice easy walk into the city centre, especially on a sunny day. I would definitely stay here again.

First about the Host - Lewis as a Host is all you need from one. Communicates very well/promptly with clear directions and instructions. Place - Like the host, place is exactly like it says on the tin (in this case the advertisement). I stayed here with my wife for her work trip and it was great. It is walkable to Oakham Business Park if you are ever working here. Amenities like few takeaways, local pubs, supermarket and a retail park with cinema are all 10mins walking distance from this place. Cost is very good for you get and the location. One of the things which is important for me, is on premise parking and unlike many other adverts on Airbnb, where they say it is on premise but then ends up being on the road, is not the case with this one. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a cost effective stay, close to Mansfield town center and not far from the motorway M1 with easy access to local amenities.

This is a great property and easy to find. We have a small dog and the back courtyard area is secure and big enough so she could stretch her legs and sniff around. We completely relaxed here, for a number of reasons. Firstly it feels complete safe, it’s a gated property and away from the road, so nice and quiet and no traffic noise. Secondly we slept great as the beds were prefect for us, king size and comfortable. The bedroom spaces had plenty of room and storage. Thirdly the large bathroom was a luxury, fantastic big shower which was easy to control and plenty of towels. And finally the pool table, we had a good few games of killer, and had such a great laugh, great entertaining space. So much so we didn’t watch the TV and we would end up chatting round the dining table. We would definitely stay again and walked away with great memories.

The house description was good, the house was clean and communication was great. I have no issues and would happily book the house again.

tha ks for a great stay, Great place with everything available nearby. Literally could walk to the shops. Was happy with the private parking. Found it clean and stylish and the host was very accommodating. Easy to use amenities around the house made it quite comfortable.

Jake's place is really cosy, clean and homely; he is very responsive and offered extra towels I requested pre check-in. He was also flexible on the check out time. I will definitely book this place again and will recommend. Thanks Jake.

Excellent location for easy access to city centre but there are also nearby essentials on the doorstep. Quiet street, and great view of the cricket grounds! Loved the decor and everything was to easy to find. Responsive and welcoming host. Would definitely stay here again.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Salli’s place. The house itself is stunning, spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing trip. It’s also perfectly located, with easy access to some fantastic hiking trails nearby, which we really enjoyed exploring. A very welcoming house with excellent facilities. The four en+suite bedrooms are comfy with the treat of some complimentary toiletries. Kitchen had everything we could possibly need. Our stay was short but very enjoyable and we would thoroughly recommend.

We had a large group of different ages and the home accommodated us well. The home was very comfortable and lots of the furnishings, carpets, fittings etc felt very new. The kitchen was well equipped and nice touch of a few complimentary teas and coffees, and shower gels etc in the bathrooms. The check in process was easy and the home easy to find. All in all we had a very positive stay and would come back again.

House was as advertised, very clean and beds were extremely comfortable! Area was lovely and quiet and we had a very pleasant stay.

we stayed at Jo place for a long weekend whilst the family visited my daughter who just had a baby. Considering it was a short notice booking, Jo answered sharply and with clear instructions. The house is lovely, and well kept. it's a home away from home- you need it, it's there! Jo checked on us on arrival and that was a lovely touch. I felt very comfortable to reach out if required. Lots of space and a helpful manual for futher instructions if you need it. the neighbourhood is very quite and we felt safe. A nice shopping centre and IKEA not far from the house if you fancy a wonder. Would recommend to others and use again. Thanks Jo for your hospitality.
