Andavelo House is a centuries old beautifully recently restored six-suite patrician house set in the old town of Lamu, Kenya. Andavelo House has nearly 800 m2 with beatifully appointed custom made furniture in all the suites and common areas.

Our house is fully staffed. Daily cleaning and basic amenities are provided. Breakfast and meal cooking services are provided at a fee upon request.

Our staff can assist you with booking a dhow or provide you information on any local attractions.

The space
We book individual suites that fit two persons. If additional guests come, they would need to book additional suites.

All suites have their own fully equipped bathroom and have chill out areas and several of them sea view terraces.

We have a swimming pool available for guests and an extensive common areas both by the pool and on the terrace over looking the town, sea and nearby Manda island

Andavelo House is located in the center of historic UNESCO protected Lamu town. Our house is in a slightly elevated part of town which offers views of both town and sea. We are minutes away from Lamu Fort, sharing walls with the Swahili House museum and a few blocks away from the main shopping area of Lamu where all sorts of local artisans sells their crafts.
