Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Hope

What a wonderful spot! Emily's house felt like a modern cabin in the woods, with very thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor areas. The house has amazing, almost direct access to the Galbraith trail system (which we really appreciated, as mountain bikers); and its location along Lakeway Drive means you're a short drive to everything Bellingham has to offer. The kitchen is also fully stocked and you would be able to whip up just about any meal you could imagine, if you wanted to! We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay here again.

The Hope Hideout was a little treasure. It was tucked into a small area between the Mountainview Brewery [a wonderful recommendation from Caroline] and the older part of town. Our weekend was completely walkable, and each time we returned it felt like we were returning home. The property was really charming, almost line like a little cabin with surrounding trees. On the sunny Friday it was lovely to sit outside on the grass. When it rained on Saturday afternoon, it was so peaceful to open the door and windows and see the rain gently fall. We comfortably slept 5 in the place. The convenience of having the little driveway right next to the Hideout, allowed for easy packing and unpacking. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Caroline even left us a bunch of popcorn which is a really nice treat for a group of cinema lovers. The Hope Hideout was the perfect home base to explore this beautiful region of BC. I will be back and so will my friends. we hope you enjoy it too.

We decided to splurge on an extra nice Airbnb for a local family getaway and staying in Marie’s place was a wonderful treat. Everything is so nicely arranged and Marie is a very friendly and helpful host! I really couldn’t recommend this place any higher! It’s a short drive to Birch Bay restaurants and shops, but honestly the place is so nice you won’t want to leave! The huge windows and deck let you enjoy the beauty of the water throughout your stay whether you’re in the hot tub, enjoying the fire pit or sitting inside watching a video on the big screen. The huge shower was a special treat too! :) Thank you, Marie, for sharing your wonderful home with us!

Our group of friends had a great stay and really appreciated the comfort of being at home. Sharon's home had everything we needed for our stay and more.

Great location, easy instructions and the place had everything you could need for your stay. The beds were comfy, the farm fresh eggs were a cute touch. All around it was a nice little getaway and just what we needed.

I really thought that this cabin was very sweet, comfortable, clean, and a wonderful place to stay for my 10 year old son and I on a little weekend vacation. The tall mossy trees surrounding the hot tub were wonderful to be around, and the design and build of the home were fun to appreciate (as someone who has some decent carpentry skills myself). The only two negatives I had were: 1) there were a ton of emails/texts/etc. associated with getting into the place (there's just no need for that much back and forth and checking in for someone like myself who wants to be off the technology as much as possible), and 2) the total cost of $1,000 for two nights felt pretty steep to me, especially when only two people are allowed to stay. In terms of the place itself, though, it was top notch.

We had the pleasure to stay at Doug's home with our toddler. The 2 bedroom space was exactly what we needed. Ample parking spots and minutes from walking to popular attractions. He was responsive at all times. We were very pleased. Thank you!

This was out second time at Dave's because we really like the location and the household amenities. Ample room, comfortably furnished, everything a kitchen could need, a back deck looking out over a creek, friendly host. Would go back a third time.

Comfortable house, beautiful view, and great walkable location to restaurants and small stores. The host Kay was very friendly and responsive!

The place is small, but it is really comfortable for a few nights. It was very clean and organized. We really like the common shared area where they have the pool table, a fireplace, and some nice and cozy sofas. We went there both nights, and it was mostly empty with the whole place for us. We didn’t cook, so we cannot evaluate the kitchen.

Location, location, location! We enjoyed David's condo over the long Memorial weekend - visiting our daughter and SIL. We knew we would be able to walk to most anything: Hagens, coffee shops restaurants etc. However we did not realize the Ski to Sea event (along with the Fairhaven Festival) was that same weekend, the location was perfect to enjoy those events without moving the car (as we would have lost our parking space). Thank you David, for being responsive and flexible.

I can’t recommend Emma’s beautiful stay enough! The studio is beautiful and had everything I needed for my stay. The property is peaceful and even though there were other guests staying on the property, my apartment felt private and I didn’t hear a peep. The bed is super cozy, too! I’ll definitely stay here the next time I’m in the area.

Such a cute place. It has an open layout and very clean and in a great area. Nice view of the water and walkable. It was nicely stocked and homey. Yes you can heat the trains but it didn’t bother us. We use a sound machine at night. I would stay here again.

Great spot, so perfect for travel w a furry friend, and such a cute and generously appointed place! Near co-op and Aslan Brewery, too! ❤️

This was such a cozy spot in the woods and the decor was so thoughtfully chosen. It was nice to be so close to the mountain and is a great escape from the city. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. Nice bathroom too. Even played ping pong!

We enjoyed our five night stay. Nice neighborhood and close to downtown Bellingham & Fairhaven (10-15 min drive). We loved the private location, big shower/ bathtub, and the hot tub! Very nice stay!

Had a lovely stay! Jenna was a great host. We went jn a quiet season and it was peaceful, cozy and clean. Definitely recommend!

The Inn on the Harbor was a perfect weekend getaway spot. Super clean and comfortable with great water views. Check in was made really easy and Tracey gave great directions ahead of time. Downtown Blaine is very walkable from this spot. We will be back!

This place is truly a gem. We were so blessed to find it. And then to have such amazing hosts was just the cherry on the sundae. We kept finding more sweet surprises around every corner. I loved how Duncan and Sarah didn't overcomplicate anything but were readily available. Our expectations were exceeded.

The only complaint I have is the bed in the bedroom. Could not sleep on it very squeaky, wiggly, mattress very lumpy.. needs a foam mattress and new frame. It was so uncomfortable. Thank god the couch was comfortable. Hopefully he will replace the bed by the next time I stay.

Matt's place was perfect for my group to spend an easy weekend skiing at baker. Very close to the glacier ski shop and wake n bakery, 30 mins from the slopes, and within walking distance of chair 9. There were games and a few dvd's to choose from in the condo, as well as a community building with a pool table, hot tub + pool, and much more. Matt supplied helpful instructions and was very responsive. I would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay! Loved that from one balcony we had a river view and the other a view of the bay. The home was comfortable and cozy for our family. Beds had nice, soft (and clean!) sheets, comfortable mattresses as well. Short walk to beach access and coffee shop which was a plus as well.

This is our second time staying here and definitely not our last! Wonderful, spacious, comfortable condo with walk out access to the beach. So peaceful with the resort a few min walk away with lots of amenities. Beds were very comfy. Can't beat the view! Highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Gord's condo. The location is ideal, just a few minutes’ walk to the ski lifts. The cabin is warm and inviting. The fire stove was a highlight, perfect for relaxing by after a day out and added such a cozy mountain vibe. Also really appreciated the flexible check-in and check-out times it made everything so much easier. Thank you for the wonderful stay Gord! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable escape near the mountains.
