Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Hood County

Lovely home with a good-sized yard for a dog and a well-equipped kitchen. Exactly what we were looking for.

Our second stay was as great as our first! So much to do for everyone in our family from ages 3 to 65! There was a maintenance issue on our first night, which was Friday of Easter weekend. Jaimee and Michael were immediately responsive and had an electrician to fix the problem within a couple hours. Such great service! The house and grounds are large, comfortable, and offer so much to do both inside and out. So fun and relaxing. Has everything you need (bring your own firewood for fire pit and chunk charcoal for BGE). Has amenities not even listed like puzzles, outdoor games, pool toys, and life jackets. You won’t be disappointed!

This magical A-frame cabin was the perfect peaceful escape for my husband, our dog, and me. Tucked right on the water, it offered instant tranquility with stunning views from inside and out. The cabin is beautifully designed with cozy touches and thoughtful details that made us feel right at home. We loved kayaking, unplugging, and just soaking in the quiet. Our dog had the time of her life jumping into the lake, chasing geese, and running freely in the enclosed yard and deck. The hosts were incredibly responsive and kind, offering great suggestions and making the experience seamless. We didn’t want to leave. Peaceful, cozy, beautiful—1000% coming back. This place is a gem!

We had to find a place last minute to bring scammed on another site. Antonio and Rebecca were amazing and were able to get us in to this property without any problems, even though we had a group and pets. We will definitely keep this property saved and possibly use it again! Would definitely recommend this property!!

If your looking for a peaceful stay lakefront,,,, look no more. Great location right on the water facing the sun rise in the mornings and a peaceful place for an evening bevi or relax in one of the many seating areas on deck or dock. Christy is very responsive and cares to make Sue your visit is pleasant. Definitely a place to return,,,,, Thank You

We only stayed 1 night but found it exactly as advertised ~ clean, spacious and well stocked. Our family enjoyed relaxing on the back deck and would have loved to fish if we had more time. Tagan was a great host!

Amazing hosts! They accommodated us during our son’s wedding weekend. They helped make the weekend memorable. The house and backyard are great. Game room is a bonus. Thank you!!

Had a great stay with our family of 5, 3 big kids who slept upstairs and my husband/ I had the primary. Beautiful, clean, and modern place. We didn’t get to enjoy the lake bc the weather was still too chilly but a cute private little inlet with quiet neighbors. We liked playing in the open yard next to the house and lots of places to eat with a short drive. Would definitely book again.

Awesome location in the heart of Sundance Square! Walkable to great restaurants and shops, as well as to the train/bus station where you can get to DFW Airport or the Fort Worth Stockyards for just $2! Unit was clean and plenty of space for one person - would be great for a couple, or for two friends traveling together. Bedroom doesn’t have a window but common area has multiple windows and abundant natural light. Washer/dryer in unit was very helpful for a longer stay. Comfortable bed. The ventilation system is noisy as is the nightlife; bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Other tenants were friendly and helpful with regard to using the elevator and getting into the building. Overall, a good value for this area. Would stay again!

This place was exactly as shown in pictures. Very clean, plenty of linens, comfortable beds. Had everything you needed in the kitchen. A few restaurants just a block away. We had some trouble with Wi-Fi and Thomas was very responsive. Just a couple of things to note..we would have enjoyed an outside sitting area and while the neighborhood is very nice and peaceful there were the normal city noises at night such as trains and sirens. We would stay again.

The is the second time I’ve stayed at Leena’s place and every time has been great! She’s a wonderful host and really easy to communicate with. The place is always in great condition and I have no complaints about it. I would definitely recommend booking with her. I know I will again on my next trip if she has the dates available.

Bea’s place is in a great location for experiencing Fort Worth. The little apartment is perfect for two - three people with all the amenities you’ll need. We did a little grocery shopping and were able to cook a whole breakfast every morning. The apartment was located in a quiet area and we were not disturbed at any point during the night. We would definitely return to Bea’s when we are in Fort Worth again .

Great deal for the area as well as how fast we needed to find a spot for a wedding! Small space but we weren’t planning on spending much time there at all. Neighbors (sweet guard dog and rooster) next door were noisy but sound machine and ear plugs helped! As well as the very loud thunderstorm that came through. All in all it was perfect for what we needed!

Place was amazing location and walkable to nearby restaurants and bike share. Incredible value for its location cleanliness and amazing smell :) Host was kind and very accommodation to requests made and quick for response. Would absolutely return here should I go back to Fort Worth!

Robert is a very nice and generous host! The neighborhood is great and very quiet. Fort Worth is not too far away but you can also go on Magnolia Street which is very close and have a wonderful meal! I surely recommend Robert’s place!

A great place to rest at night. Stayed for about a month. It's a two story, two bedroom townhouse/condo. There's an en suite bathroom with shower upstairs. Half bathroom downstairs. There is a good washer and dryer downstairs that I appreciated. There's a bright street light that streams in the window of one of the bedrooms, so a heads up on that. The neighborhood is quiet, working class. You have one reserved parking spot which is covered. I was in town for work in downtown Ft Worth, and this unit was a 15 min easy drive in. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again.

The townhouse was very modern, well decorated, and in a great location near Magnolia Avenue where we had an event. The hosts were great at communicating and made both check in and check out a breeze.

Nice place for short term stays!

A True Sanctuary in the Heart of Granbury I can’t express enough how grateful I am for my stay at JuLee’s beautiful apartment in The Square in downtown Granbury. The space itself is charming — filled with antique furnishings and eclectic art, including a whimsical melted clock that reminded me of Salvador Dalí. It was cozy, unique, and felt like a peaceful retreat from the world. But what truly made this experience unforgettable was JuLee’s incredible kindness and patience. I was in town under heartbreaking circumstances, attending the funeral of my 5-year-old nephew, Exodus Crockett, which happened to be held on Crockett Street. With swollen eyes from days of crying, I mistook the apartment number and caused a bit of worry when I couldn’t find the right door. JuLee responded with nothing but grace, compassion, and understanding — a true comfort during a time when I needed it most. Kaci was amazing and checking in was super easy! Cute little place and had all the necessities. It’s in a gated community so we felt pretty safe just the surrounding area was questionable. Driving to the stockyards during the day was easy, but a little scary at night because you have to drive through the north side. But otherwise was amazing!!

Great location for Dickie’s Arena! Felt safe walking at night. Nice place, extremely comfortable bed. We left clothes in the dryer and Lauren offers to mail them to us! Great host!
