Hay Barn Cottage,

GrahamRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Were a little unsure about access when we arrived, as there's a closed large wooden gate, so I guess (typically) we were looking for an open entrance driveway, the lane is narrow so had to pull right onto grass verge in front of cottage to open gate and go check. Lara appeared soon after as we were starting to unload car, she is very friendly and helpful, and brought us a freshly baked sourdough loaf, which turned out to be absolutely delicious. My wife is disabled, the gravel on drive up to entrance is very difficult for wheelchairs etc. We brought with us a pair of wheelchair ramps, which proved essential for wheeling Jen couple of steps up from lounge to the lower bedroom level. The open lounge and ground floor area was wonderfully large and spacious. Kitchen was brilliant, and pretty well equipped, but if there's anything you should need as we did, there's a wonderful general store in nearby Bentley. We enjoyed browsing through all the Glossy home and garden mags and books.

Secluded shepherd's hut

BronaghRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We were looking for somewhere to stay the night that was local to Bury Court, so finding Lucy's shepherd's hut just a walk down the most gorgeous lane was a real gem! Located round the corner from Lucy's beautiful house, we were welcomed with lovely shortbread and milk in the fridge for a much needed coffee in the morning! Would highly recommend and Farnham is beautiful! Lucy was also a very accommodating host and easy to communicate with.
A scenic aerial view showcases the lush landscape surrounding the cottage. Verdant fields stretch towards a tranquil lake, framed by trees. The distant hills rise under a partly cloudy sky, creating a sense of open space and natural beauty, enhancing the peaceful ambiance of the area.

Charming Hilltop Cottage with Panoramic Views

ElizabethRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Hilltop. Given its not too expensive rental rate, it is fairly priced. The kitchen is well-equipped. As an added plus, there is a splendid collection of books on literature, art, and history. The bathroom, as the Airbnb photos show, is a tad old-fashioned, with a bathtub and spray attachments for rinsing. Where the Airbnb listing is misleading is in the geographic location of the attached cottage. The GPS location of the cottage on Google Maps is wrong by several hundred meters. So we spent almost an hour driving up and down the right road turning into the wrong driveways. No doubt, better information will be forthcoming on the Airbnb site. Another quibble is that the attached cottage is, indeed, on a hill, but there are no views other than on to the small front garden which fronts the hill road. We did end up finding the cottage, and we certainly did enjoy our stay there.

The Garden House in Jane Austen’s village Chawton

VirginiaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This stay was really outstanding for the beautiful English garden, so well maintained, so peaceful. Kate and Mark are friendly, welcoming and super helpful. Their historical home has been well maintained and updated. Very cozy and comfortable. For Jane Austen fans, the location cannot be better, one really walks in her footsteps. Highly recommended!

Katriona was very responsive and the location was very practical for parking and travel to see the sights in the area. Chalet had everything we needed for our short stay.
An entryway is shown, featuring a staircase with a simple design. A small rug is positioned at the bottom of the stairs. A window allows natural light to enter the space, and a door with glass panels provides an exit to the outside.

Idyllic Dovecote Cottage in Jane Austen's Chawton

HeatherRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had the most delightful stay here. It’s a real haven of peace and so close to Chawton House and Jane Austen’s house. The garden is beautiful and we ate many meals out there. The house is thoughtfully renovated and tastefully furnished. We would love to return and can’t recommend this home highly enough.
