This spacious apartment has been lovingly restored and styled by its artist owners and features their original artworks (paintings/lights). The apartment has solid oak flooring, antique Persian rugs and a combination of period French and contemporary designer furniture which contributes to the apartment's special character. A stunning set of 18th century chateau doors divide the living and bedrooms and provide the 'wow factor' of this charming find. A welcome basket of Prosecco or red or white wine and olives as well as breakfast provisions to be found in the kitchen; Artisan bread, butter, preserves, cereals, milk, free-range eggs, fresh fruit juice, Marmite, Betty's/Yorkshire tea and ground coffee. *FREE WI-FI* and *FREE PARKING*. The living room with its linen covered antique chesterfield sofa, large format art books, 42" Smart HD TV with Freeview, DVD player, Bose Bluetooth sound system is perfect for a cosy night in. 'Atelier 22 York' is situated in York's 'Cultural Quarter', a few minutes walk from the Yorkshire Museum, the Theatre Royal, York Art Gallery and the Minster. The city's top eateries are a stone's throw away : Roots, The Star Inn The City, Betty's, Skosh, Partisan, Le Cochon Aveugle, as well as numerous pubs and bars; a gentle stroll back home at night. The beautifully restored medieval buildings of Stonegate and the Shambles provide the perfect setting for some last minute shopping. York's many attractions, including The Minster, Yorkshire Museum and Gardens, Treasures House, Fairfax House, Castle Museum, National Railway Museum, City Walls, Theatre Royal, City Screen Cinema, Betty's famous Tea Rooms are all 5-10 minutes walk away as well as beautiful riverside walks and restaurants, pubs and bars too numerous to mention. A stylish, large, entire 1-bedroom flat for two people. The main advantage of this property is that it is close to the station (0.5 miles) and city centre, BUT located in a quiet, residential cul-de-sac. This means you can enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city centre but retreat to a calm, safe neighbourhood watch area, where residents and visitors mutually respect quiet hours of 11 pm to 7 am. It has free on-street parking and a bus stop (Carleton Street) approximately 80m away.

Explore York from a traditional terrace in Holgate, only fifteen minutes walk from the town centre & behind the railway station. There is a king-sized bed, 2 bunks, a sparkling bathroom, full kitchen, and a back yard for summer evenings. Dogs are very welcome. We have 100Mbps broadband & wifi, a coffee machine, toaster, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave - you can make a full roast dinner in the kitchen, with a shop just over the road.
