This place is stunning, the kitchen is the most equipped I’ve seen, the bed was super comfy, the area is so peaceful and lovely. What was really special was the special touches, notes/tips with various applications etc right where you need them not just in the manual. Marylise was very responsive with queries and was an excellent host. I would highly recommend this place.

What can I say about this wonderfully quaint and quirky cottage that hasn't already been written? Probably nothing, but once you've picked your jaw up off the floor it's impossible to not be totally besotted by this hidden gem nestled in the heart of the English countryside, the pictures really don't do it justice. Our initial exploration of the spotless interior was way beyond our expectations, it's simply stunning and is the perfect blend of old and new. Everything we needed was provided and the comprehensive notes provided by Sue were more than adequate in providing clear directions and instructions for the various appliances, etc. Our stay surpassed our expectations in every way possible, if you've ever wanted to stay in an authentic cottage with a truly spectacular garden and doorstep access to to miles of public walkways look no further. Finally, a huge thinks to our wonderfully responsive host Sue for offering this property on Airbnb, very, very highly recommended.

Had a wonderful stay, the barn is amazing and was the perfect backdrop for our week away! Amazingly clean and comfortable and the beds were super comfy. Sonia and Adam were warm, friendly and welcoming 😊

The property was in the perfect location for us. It had everything we could possibly need. Even with the bedroom windows open, none of us noticed the noise from the main road. Sam was very helpful, and accommodated our request for an early check-in.

We enjoyed our stay. Easy drive to NEC, lots to do in and around the area. Lee left really a really good dossier about the house and the area. We would stay again.

From 1st contact, Patricia was quick to reply & friendly. Her lodge was spotless and equipped with everything u cld want. Welcome pack of bread / milk etc such a lovely thought. Flowers and plants around the lodge are absolutely beautiful! The park itself is so peaceful. Would definately recommend

Beautiful cottage set in wonderful grounds with a playhouse for the little ones. The pool was great too. Such a great place to stay, and under 10 minutes from Ashbourne. Around 30 mins to kid friendly hiking/walking in the Dales. Highly recommend.

We had a great stay visiting family near overstone. The lodge is perfect, it has everything we needed. They kindly gave us milk and breakfast which was really lovely. The location was quiet and the neighbours were really friendly. Would highly recommend a stay here, we will again for sure.

We had a lovely break here whilst visiting family nearby, Stuart was very helpful and accommodating. Everything we needed was provided, absolutely gorgeous area and all round welcoming atmosphere. Stuart even kindly installed WiFi for us- as signal is hit and miss in the area. Very clean Caravan as well and well equipped. What a fantastic place! We stayed for two comfortable nights with our children and dog and had a fabulous time. We had a picnic on the lawn overlooking the Vale of Belvoir, ran the dog around the many fields surrounding the house and spent time watching TV and playing with the kids in the front room. Richard and Jo had put out the cot ahead of our visit, and even had bed bumpers ready for toddlers. The house is spacious and well appointed in a fantastic location.

We had a wonderful stay at Annabel’s and will definitely be going back asap! It was perfectly peaceful with gorgeous surroundings and was even better than the pictures! The pool was much bigger than we thought and was such a joy to have, the decking area was huge with stunning views and the garden truly magical! This was great value for money! Annabel was a fantastic host and very helpful and friendly and the animals were all very friendly too! The cats didn’t come to close though as we had our dog, who had a dream just roaming free! Thanks Annabel, be back soon !

Had a lovely stay in Lauren’s caravan. Had everything we needed, even cling film (it’s the small things). Spacious and airy. Great location, onsite shop, restaurant and lake. Very peaceful few days away. Pool was being cleaned whilst we were there getting ready to open, would have loved to been able to use it. Friendly residents too. Will be back!

This place was fantastic. Beautiful renovation of a chapel. Our kids absolutely loved the large jacuzzi and I loved the sauna. It’s a pity we spend just the one night Would recommend highly.

Fantastic stay at Sandra and Chris’s. This was our 2nd visit and would not hesitate to stay again. Perfect for our family in a clean, comfortable and well equipped place. The garden is fantastic, which you can explore at your leisure.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful party of the country. Well-located for local amenities with village shops and pubs on the doorstep. A nicely maintained little place too - we found it exactly as described.

The Annexe was an amazing, beautiful and peacful. Besutiful location and very well looked after. We wanted a quiet break for us and the dogs and this didnt disappoint. Michelle was a great host, always a speedy reply, was also very helpful setting up banners ballons for a birthday with bubbles. Thank you Michelle - you made the break enjoyable.

A wonderful, spacious house. Extremely comfortable furniture and everything that is required for your stay. Plenty of little extras to ensure your trip is carefree. 2 welcoming local pubs within a slow 15 minute wander. Both providing hearty meals. We only tried The Crown, food was lovely. A highly recommended retreat to explore the local area.

Really lovely and enjoyable stay - Rob & Pete were both so helpful with communication, directions and check in. The lodge was in a great location near cafes, bars and restaurants and was so spacious and clean. Thanks for a great stay!

An excellent property in a superb rural location but only 7 miles from Leicester city centre. Tracey was a very helpful and responsive host. I have no hesitation in recommending this accomodation to anyone looking for a peaceful outlook.
