Family-friendly vacation rentals in Hinckley and Bosworth District

Lovely little place with beautiful views, very peaceful (we hardly saw another human the whole time we were there). The little added touches were lovely. It was a little smaller than we thought it would be, but we hadn’t done a glamping pod before so I guess we didn’t know what to really expect. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the hot tub on the evenings, definitely an added bonus!! And the welcome and greeting was really lovely and helpful with recommendations of local restaurants :)

Wow! Our group of 9 ladies have had the most amazing weekend at this lovely property. We loved the warm welcome from the hosts & very much appreciated the goodies left out for us & helpful instructions. We were lucky to have beautiful sunshine, enabling us to make the most of the wonderful garden. We enjoyed the hot tub, sauna and making s’mores in the hobbit hut, as well as yoga on the lawn & watercolour painting under the apple tree - a truly blissful girls’ weekend! The bunnies & Welly the pig were gorgeous! The house was clean & there was plenty of room for the 9 of us, we barely used the lounge and dining room! We also hired the games barn & it was like having our own little pub & a great evening’s entertainment. We would have loved to have stayed longer & tried out the pizza oven. We enjoyed a long walk including the spooky railway tunnel & a great meal over the road at the pub. We couldn’t have asked for more and would love to return! Thank you Hannah & Noel :)

So enjoyed our stay at the Old Wash House. Everything was perfect from location to cottage & hosts couldnt have been any more accommodating. So many special touches from the freshly baked warm bread hanging on our door in the morning to the fire lit for our arrival. We loved it all & def hope to return ❤️ 😍

Very cosy, stylish and relaxing place to stay - lovely views, great pub 5 mins walk away and lots to do in the local area. Highly recommended!

Great location and a very helpful host.

Absolutely amazing space to get together with friends and family. We stayed for a weekend as a group of 14, 9 adults and 5 kids and we had plenty room for all of us. The place is beautiful, exactly as shown on pictures and the bedrooms/huts are all spacious, clean, warm and comfy. The kitchen is spotless and big and the different areas available to chill in, is a huge plus for this place. Communication was easy and Fred and Charlotte were prompt and friendly in responses. We would all recommend this place and we wish we had longer here, the kids were as gutted as the adults to leave. The hot tub was amazing! 5 stars without doubt and would love to stay again.

A wonderful set up at Ford Whetley. Idea for walking in the Peak District and great pubs with food within easy reach (recommend pubs at Onecote and the Black Lion at Butterton.) Louise was a great help in advance of our arrival and communicated really effectively. A beautiful area of the country. Would recommend this cottage to anyone - you won't be disappointed. Incredible stay. Nathan and Katie were the perfect hosts and created the most amazing little place to stay if visiting Alton towers. Highly highly recommend!

We stayed at Maxine’s place for six days due to work, and it truly felt like home. Our dog Domi also loved it and felt completely safe and at ease. The house absolutely exceeded our expectations, it’s so well-stocked that we didn’t even need to go grocery for the first few days! There are plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, and parks within walking distance, and parking was super convenient. Maxine also recommended an amazing Thai restaurant — unfortunately, we couldn’t get a table because we didn’t book in advance, but that just gives us another reason to come back! Highly recommend to everyone :)

We had a lovely stay at the Annexe. it had everything we needed, we loved all the animals and I enjoyed sitting out on the little patio to chill out with my cuppa. The space was nice and homely so great to relax at the end of they day, beds were comfy and having tea/coffee and cereal etc was great. Communication was really good and really helpful with everything so I couldn't ask for more.

Fabulous thatched cottage full of character & and in a great location for visiting Rutland Water. Very peaceful and easy parking right opposite. The cottage was squeaky clean and extremely comfortable. Sweet treats from the local bakery, fresh coffee and doggy treats were a really lovely touch. Highly recommend a stay at Bee Cottage, you won’t be disappointed.

A real gem of a place! Private, beautiful gardens and a lovely pond to sit beside in the evenings. The kids loved feeding the ducks. Lisa and Nick were super friendly and helpful, and the place was immaculate and just like the photos. The village is a short walk away, with great little pubs and local shop. Plenty to do within a 30 mins drive radius too. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend!

Had a lovely stay here, straight into woods for walking, the horses at the equestrian centre seemed very happy and well cared for. Fabulous pub food within walking distance, farm shops and local attractions were great. Everything you need in the accommodation, we brought our own mobile wifi. Comfortable, would stay here again

Wow. Rebecca is a super host! My husband and I had the most beautiful stay. Rebecca was welcoming, there were lots of delicious treats for us including homemade bread. The property was clean, has beautiful views and great linens and towels. I cannot fault the property or Rebecca. A wonderful stay away!

Wonderful hosts. Beautiful little hideaway. Great for couples wanting to get away from it all. We went to Silverstone, this was 30 minutes away in the car. Thanks for sharing your home. We’ve had a good time 🥰

I recently stayed at this beautiful cottage and can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, we were taken in by the charm of the place – the cottage is tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, and filled with thoughtful touches that made it feel like a true home away from home. One of the absolute highlights was the private access to the pool. It was such a luxury to be able to take a dip whenever we pleased, without having to share the space, the booking slots was such a clever way to achieve this. Surrounded by lush greenery and peaceful surroundings, it felt like our own little slice of paradise. The cottage itself is perfectly situated for relaxation but also close enough to explore local attractions, shops, and restaurants. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. If you’re looking for a relaxing, romantic, or even family-friendly escape with a touch of luxury and loads of charm, this place is a gem.

From 1st contact, Patricia was quick to reply & friendly. Her lodge was spotless and equipped with everything u cld want. Welcome pack of bread / milk etc such a lovely thought. Flowers and plants around the lodge are absolutely beautiful! The park itself is so peaceful. Would definately recommend

Beautiful cottage set in wonderful grounds with a playhouse for the little ones. The pool was great too. Such a great place to stay, and under 10 minutes from Ashbourne. Around 30 mins to kid friendly hiking/walking in the Dales. Highly recommend.

From start to finish Wendy was amazing! Communication, extra’s for our baby - not a problem Wendy had it sorted within the hour! The location, stunning. Pool and hot tub such a perfect way to enjoy the views and to relax. Definitely an air b & b saved for another trip in the future

Really beautiful lodge and extremely spacious. We shared as three couples and for the price was excellent value. Host was responsive and answered all our questions. The only downside was check-in wasn’t until 4pm it had been cleaned as the cleaners were leaving as we arrive just after 12 noon, but we had to leave everything in the car as we had a function to go to so didn’t unpack till we came home later on that evening.

What a beautiful and special place! So many lovely little touches and such an interesting building! The surroundings are so pretty, much wildlife and it felt like it had its own Mediterranean micro climate! Sharon & Lulu were great hosts, so helpful and responsive. Really flexible on check in and check out times and provided local recommendations. This included Fords Kitchen, we were lucky enough to have Tom provide dinner one evening. The food was delicious and beautiful, also a complete stress free treat because he knows the venue and hosts! Having a yoga studio on site was a gorgeous addition. Lulu guided us through the most magical private yoga, breath work & sound bath. I very much hope to return! ❤️🥰

Amazing place with a fantastic host who was so helpful and provided all the information needed and very quick to respond. Perfect for my young family with plenty of options for my kids and swimming pool such an added bonus. Thank you! No doubt we will be back
