An absolute comfort to stay and ideally located. You basically cannot get better than this if you are going to be focused on things near Gion/Higashiyama (Philosopher's Path). It's a bit of a trek to Arashiyama, but you kind of have to pick which side of the city you want to have accessible. As it is, I recommend this location. 5 min walk from the subway, along a peaceful river, minutes to great stuff. The house itself is extremely comfortable and spacious. I spent a total of 3 weeks in Kyoto and my trip would have been much better if this had been my home base for the entire time instead of just 5 days. Our trip instantly was just better once we got here because of how much nicer this location and home is. I highly recommend this place. We had no issues at all and they were kind with flexibility in keeping our luggage. The next time we are there, we will see if this place is available to stay again.

Kevin’s b&b is in the perfect location tucked away from all the hustle in Kyoto! A short walk to the station and you can get anywhere you want. There are plenty of food options around too! A bonus for us was the bag storage as we got to the b&b before check in time. Would stay here again :)

Ishigaki Kyotofish is wonderfully located at a hipsters area in Kyoto, with womderful small shops, cafés and restaurants nearby! it is a 30-min walk to all tourist attractions at the centre of Kyoto and you can walk along the small river just beside the house! This place offered us the most authentic and zen experience in Japan since everything reflected Japanese cultures. I would definitely recommend it for groups of friends or couples since it is one of the very rare places in Kyoto to host 5 or more people. Karen has been a perfect host, always responsive, proactive and understanding! Happy to go there back again!

New and clean room. Great bathroom and shower. Above all, the shower is spacious with the possibility of taking a bath. Fantastic! Possibility to make tea and coffee with a kettle (offered by the property) very much appreciated. Kevin was a great host, contacting us before arrival to give directions, and giving assistance until the end. Nice and friendly. Thank you for everything! Great value for the money.

We loved our stay. The place was perfect for our family of three. It was a beautiful, modern space, with a lovely view of the creek. We were also very fortunate to be there when the cherry tree off the patio was blooming. The location was perfect and close to many restaurants and the Gion district. I couldn't imagine a better place for our first visit to Kyoto.

We had a great time at this Airbnb! The room was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean. The shower was superb, and the location was perfect, close to all amenities. What really made the difference was the exceptional hospitality we received. The receptionist not only met all of our expectations, but also gave us valuable tips to make the most of our stay. Best of all, he even offered to take us to the train station for free. Service beyond our expectations. We would highly recommend this place!

We were a group of three families with small kids. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The cabin is situated at an awesome location right next to Kamo river and has very good proximity to Kyoto station and other landmarks as well. Karen is an awesome host! She checked with us regularly to confirm we were doing ok and was responding to our messages within a few hours. Highly recommend this place!
