Lake side house rentals in Hidden Valley Lake

I love staying here. This is our third year up for an annual bass tournament and it’s perfect. Clean, great deck that I love! Boat right there on the dock ready to go for fishing. Short boat trip to the casino for blast off. I stay behind and sunbathe on the deck and enjoy the canal. Easy and caring hosts. I have no complaints and will continue to come back as long as I can. I have family in the area, but would much rather stay here for as long as I can. Love it! So peaceful.

What a fun trip! We so enjoyed this home in Clear Lake! We spent long days reading books, catching up, playing games, going to the pool, admiring the view and spending the evenings bbq'ing on the deck followed by admiring the crazy amount of stars above. Having grown up going to Clear Lake as a child I know what to expect of the area and I was impressed with Alex's home. Alex's home was as described, just the right amount of charm with modern updates that serve well (including the nicest towels and most comfortable bed i've had an AirBnB)! Before we left, we were already talking about coming back! Pro tip, with the big beautiful windows, close the blinds before going to bed. The front gets hot by the time you wake up! We thought leaving the doors open would cool down the house but learned the hard way!

Our stay was peaceful and relaxing. Our grandson enjoyed fishing from the dock and the family has fun taking out the kayak and the paddle boat. It was everything we hoped it would be.

The view looking out into the woods and river from the living room is absolutely breathtaking. We stayed in late April and it was a bit rainy so it wasn’t feasible to enjoy the river, but the location more than made up for it. The proximity to Armstrong Redwoods, Jenner, and several charming nearby towns made for a perfect mix of hiking, beach walks, and exploring local spots.

We had an amazing weekend at Bryan’s place! The home was incredibly cozy and felt like a true retreat. The location was ideal, just minutes from shops, great food, and all the essentials, but still peaceful and private. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, including plenty of utensils, cookware, and spices. There was tons of comfortable seating throughout the house, and the beds were some of the most comfortable we’ve ever had in an Airbnb. Bathrooms were clean and well-equipped. The backyard was massive, and the private deck was perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee in the morning or unwinding at night. We especially appreciated how responsive and hospitable Bryan was, he truly made us feel welcome and taken care of. We take this trip every year, and out of all the places we’ve stayed, this was by far our favorite. Highly recommend Bryan’s home to anyone looking for comfort, space, and a five-star host. We will definitely be back!

We had a fantastic stay at this lakeside cabin! The location is absolutely stunning—right on the lake with truly incredible views. We spent our days kayaking (there’s a tandem and a single kayak available), relaxing in the hot tub, and enjoying meals on the deck with the water just steps away. It’s also quite private, which made it the perfect place for our group to unwind, play guitar, and sing late into the night without worrying about neighbors. The kitchen was very well stocked, which made cooking at home easy and enjoyable. And for wine lovers, this is a great base—we visited 6Sigma Winery for their private tour and tasting, which was absolutely worth it! There are a couple of things to be aware of: The lake water was murky, so we didn’t swim. And at night, the mosquitos/bugs were intense—huge swarms would gather around the lights. A helpful tip: keep the doorway lights off at night and use the outside lights away from the door to draw the bugs elsewhere when going in or out!

Amazing location right by the lakeside and a beautiful well-equipped house. We could see ducks and swans coming out of the water onto the backyard right from the dining table! Would love to come here again. Thanks for being a great host, Barbara.

We loved the property and its proximity to the water and two large beaches. The house itself is thoughtfully decorated and has the furnishings and supplies just like it would if someone actually lived there rather than the typical Airbnb “shell” that only has the bare necessities (or less). We did have an unfortunate complication that occurred when we arrived. Things happen, but what matters more than anything is how a host handles an unexpected event. Jay was kind, understanding, and empathetic and did everything needed to make things right. We will absolutely be back.

Jason’s home was exactly what we needed to visit with my in laws and my husband and small child. The home was spacious and clean. Jason was very communicative and available when needed. We loved the ability to rent the boat for a tour of the lake. Having been to Clearlake a bunch in the past it was great to see the lake from a different vantage point. We look forward to staying with him in the future!

Euni and her husband were fabulous hosts. The Olive House was well appointed and and beautifully decorated. The property was expansive and very unique. I would definitely come back to visit in the future.

This lake house was perfect for our family of 5 and our holiday weekend getaway. We felt like we hit the Airbnb lottery. It was spacious and cozy at the same time. Our two older kids enjoyed the 3rd bedroom with the daybeds which also had all the toys, books and games. We appreciated that extra touch since we didn’t have to pack any of those items from home. We also appreciated the convenience of having a pack n play for our toddler. The hosts went above and beyond to accommodate families as well as fur babies! We brought along our pug and it was great knowing he was welcome. Our weekend was relaxing and peaceful (as much as it can be with young kids). We fished all weekend long and lost count of how many we caught! The location was ideal and we didn’t leave the house all weekend. We even used Instacart and DoorDash for some groceries and meals. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. I could go on and on about how amazing everything was. Thank you Carrin and Stan! 10/10 recommend

My husband and I are frequent flyers of airbnb properties when we travel- prefering to learn about a place by staying as the locals do. ( I'm also an airbnb owner). We are delighted to have met Lora, who shared local history and knowledge with us, and we truly appreciated her graciousness on her beautiful lakeside property.

We LOVED our stay! The view of the lake was so peaceful and the deck is the perfect place to spend our days. The air conditioning worked wonderfully on the hot days. The beds were super comfortable. Anne was incredibly responsive to all my questions about the lake. It's a quiet lake town, so a few food options and a walmart not too far away.

Wanted to have a weekend away from home visiting the area for the first time and we could not have been happier!! Awesome living room with a projector and the house was so cozy and clean. We were even greeted by a sweet doggie (Uma) at the fence. Wonderful place.

Thank you for a wonderful stay! We had a very cozy stay and the place was great for a weekend getaway with dogs. It was super helpful also to be walking distance from the grocery store! We also cooked a few meals with the kitchen and grill and had no problems making what we wanted. Great collection of spices too. Thank you again!

The airbnb is beautiful, peaceful, and the kitchen is well equipped. The views never get old. It is located to great hiking trails just 5 min away and a local grocery store. Holly was quick to respond and address any issues I had. She was very accommodating and hospitable. Would highly recommend this place and want to come back with family for the holiday's!

The feeling of a treehouse, with the amenities of an actual home, infused with laid back, Northern California vibes. Also an architectural marvel with construction directly over the small stream. Time spent on the deck with the trees overhead and the stream below seems to slow down. Add in a lovely collection of prints, paintings, and sculptures, and very kind hosts, and you have a wonderful AirBnb. Very grateful to have had the opportunity to stay here.

This place is magical. There’s a creek in the backyard and surrounded by trees. You feel so far away from everything, but there’s a grocery not too far. The coffee shop right down the street is also very good. 10/10 would come back

I really enjoyed my three-day getaway at Thomas' place. The patio with its breathtaking forest view is the true gem of this stay. The house had everything I needed, the internet was fast and reliable, and the heater worked perfectly. There was some noise from the upstairs guests, and I imagine they might have heard me as well, but overall, my stay was wonderful and unforgettable.
