Family-friendly vacation rentals in Hewitt

It was a last minute decision to spend sometime away from home over the weekend & Lacy was super quick in responding and accommodating us at the Tiny house. Place was super clean, perfect size with plenty of place to sit outside with pool and kids play area with swings, that was a great touch. Staff at Gathering Oaks are very helpful and always around incase you need anything. Perfect place for a weekend getaway. But if taking your pet there will be additional $50 charge, which I feel is little higher from what I have seen in the past. :)

We recently stayed at Gathering Oaks Retreat in Crawford, TX, for a couples weekend getaway, and it was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were embraced by the serene and peaceful surroundings. The retreat is beautifully maintained, and the outdoor games in the courtyard were a delightful addition to our stay. The property truly embodies a relaxing atmosphere. We spent our time taking nature walks, enjoying the fresh air, and simply reconnecting with each other. It felt like a blessing to be in such a tranquil setting, where we could pause and appreciate life's simple pleasures. The attention to detail in making our stay comfortable was evident, and the hostess was very helpful with the instructions for the facility. Whether you're looking for a peaceful escape or a chance to rekindle your relationship, Gathering Oaks Retreat is the perfect destination. We left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and full of gratitude for the experience. Five stars all the way!!

Overall very satisfied with the tiny house stay. We were the only ones there that weekend so it was very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the hot tub and all the activities on the premise. We can see this place being an awesome choice for a retreat or family reunion. Lacy was a great host and responsive to any questions. Would recommend to anyone.

It was a great little getaway for our whole family.

We stayed here for a week and ended up extending our stay because we loved the place! Beautiful views all day, clean, nice pool for us to enjoy and most of all LOVED the hot tub! Would definitely stay here again! Great host!

Anca’s space was so magical. The views were breath taking and the atmosphere was more then I could have ever expected. She is such a kind and giving soul who dose so much work here on earth. I can’t wait to come back!

Great stay for us! Only thing that we had to get used to was no central A/C, but we did just fine with the window units. Overall really liked the stay for what we needed!

Very nice home in a nice neighborhood. Wish there were more neighborhoods like it where we live. Anne was very responsive and flexible, great amenities for our families to stay and visit Waco for the weekend. Highly recommend if you are visiting Waco 👍

Our stay was perfect! The details of the home are lovely, and they considered every aspect of what could possibly be needed or wanted during our stay. Our pups were welcomed, too, and the yard was terrific for them to run, play, and burn some energy. Thank you, Hodson family, for being magnificent hosts.

We had an excellent stay at the Condo. We were able to eat right next door at Portofino’s, and enjoyed everything about our trip. There are lots of different walkable places to visit. The condo was clean and comfortable, and we’d love to visit again one day. Thanks, Chris. We really appreciate it.

The house was very nice! It had everything we needed and had lots of space for everyone. The neighborhood was pretty and felt very safe. Overall we had a great stay. The only negatives were the beds weren’t the most comfortable in the 2 extra rooms. Master bedroom was better. The fence in the backyard didn’t look secure enough for my dog to be let off the leash. It had several places with holes at the bottom she could’ve slipped through and the grass was pretty tall in the back. Otherwise it was a great house, great location, great host, and great stay! Definitely recommend staying here!

Missi is very responsive and has a perfect home for families. The added kids books, fenced in backyard and bunk beds were perfect for my kids!

Perfect spot to wind down from the city noise. The river view and bench next to the river was a perfect spot to hangout plus the outdoor lighting made the night feel exciting.

Anca was very responsive. We are in the middle of moving with the military and have 3 pets, she was very accommodating. The no pet fee was a huge plus. I love how she is a advocate for animals. I didn't worry when my dogs would get a little hyper. PCS season is arriving and if you are in the middle of getting stationed to Fort Hood and have pets, I would consider this place.

We booked this for friends as we had several couples coming for a reunion. Mamau’s house was larger than we expected and in our neighborhood. The location is peaceful and beautiful. The house was clean and spacious. A great find!

We came for a Baylor graduation and Jim’s place was the perfect place to help us celebrate. The lofts will remain at the top of my list to stay again when back in Waco. I highly recommend this to anyone, even those hard to please. Thank you Jim!!!

This property is beautiful inside and out. The cottage is perfectly laid out and very clean. The property is amazing. Gorgeous trees, many different places to relax, clean pool, and a community feeling with other staying on the property are just a few of the things that we enjoyed while staying.
