The climbing park "Høyt og Lavt" is located 15 min drive from the cabin. In the summer months (May to Sept) it is possible to rent a boat and kayaks. Animals are not allowed in the cabin. Skjoldastraumen is an idyllic and quiet place with the possibility of several activities and excursions. The place is probably best known for its saltwater locks that opened in 1908. The saltwater locks are the only ones in Norway that are still in use. The sandy beach at Notaflåt is centrally located and provides bathing opportunities on a nice summer day. Straumen school is also nearby. Here the kids can play and play football. If you drive to Nedstrand, you will find the well-known Himakånå. "Straumen er Draumen"

Førsteetasjen i en sjarmerende villa fra 1912. Moderne, varmt og bekvemt, så vi beholder komforten, men med tydelige spor av gammel stil. Huset ligger i en rolig blindgate, et steinkast bak rådhuset. Setter du deg ute i gården med en kaffe, kan du nyte morgensolen og synet av rådhuskuppelen. Det er bare ett hus mellom Laurentzes hus og kinoen. Vil du ha en frokost i det grønne, kan du lage deg en kaffe på kjøkkenet, og spasere to minutter bort i Byparken og nyte den på en grønn benk der.

Relax with family/friends in idyllic surroundings Overlooking a small pond, sheep in the fields and beautiful birdsong, this is a place where you will find peace and quiet. There is plenty of space for play, bonfire and barbecue. There are good sun spots around the entire cabin. 15-30 min by car to all attractions on Haugaland. For grocery shopping, the convenience store in Slåttevik is recommended, which is only 4 minutes away by car.
