Charming, small apartment directly across from a great park and only blocks from the beach. My son and I enjoyed our time here and Sean was incredibly responsive

Given that the second bathroom in outside with a quick walk down side of house, it was lovely and big. Yes, the home is older but extra cozy. The beds were good and small kitchen perfect for cooking. Could use one more serving bowl. Location was divine! short walk to Marine Street and ferry. A quiet, lovely street. We loved the french doors and half doors to let a beach breeze circulate. Washer and dryer were convenient. Parking always available on street. Granted, it is not brand new but had all we needed. Could not have enjoyed ourselves more. We would definitely love to return in the future.

Thank you for allowing to stay at your home. It was a great place to relax after a long day sighting seeing. We’ll set up kitchen with all the basics needed. Off-road parking was a bonus.

Genuine mid-Century California bungalow done out in authentic local style. The space is airy, homely and designed and furnished with impeccable taste sympathetic to the architecture and setting. What can’t quite be conveyed by the listing are the lovely finer details and casual yet curated vibe. The complex is of a number of similar units and I was treated to visits from the many cats and dogs living here which was an unexpected bonus not mentioned on the listing :) The courtyard the unit faces onto is so pretty, the parking space was very convenient and the location right where you want to be. The check-in and check-out instructions were very comprehensive, cleanliness beyond question and Sean highly responsive as a host. Without hesitation I will be booking this place next time I am in LA.

Chantal's cottage is a little slice of paradise! I don't even know where to start - the cottage itself is absolutely stunning. It's a small place, but so elegant and charming with tremendous attention to detail. The linens and decor are high-quality and extremely comfortable, and the hospitality is beyond compare. Chantal greeted us personally and made sure we were comfortable. There was a beautiful hand-written note and some delicious fresh fruit and snacks to welcome us. The backyard is idyllic with a swimmable pool and jacuzzi, and the neighborhood is lovely - one of the neighbors even has a horse in her backyard (it's an equestrian-friendly area)! The amount of thought that has gone into ensuring the comfort of guests is not something I have seen in other Airbnbs. There's nowhere else we would rather stay if we are in LA again. Thank you, Chantal (and Theo the spaniel) for a truly delightful stay.

Great space, it was just what my partner & I needed for a week trip. Neighborhood was quiet. German was very responsive and helpful. Definitely recommend.

We are a family of five and stayed at Anastasiya's place due to its proximity to Disneyland. So glad we stayed here! Looks just like the pictures and the kitchen was stocked with enough stuff to be able to prep and cook meals. Check in was easy and everything was super clean. We would definitely stay here again!

The apartment layout is reasonable, the decoration is comfortable, and it is very convenient to move in and park. The kitchenware is very complete. The apartment is on the second floor and you need to carry your luggage upstairs by yourself. Staying here gives a very homey feeling.

STELLAR IN EVERY RESPECT & EXACTLY as portrayed; PRISTINE-stylish & aesthetically pleasing decor, yet highly comfortable; IMMACULATE inside & out-not even beach sand; HIGH END newer/secure 1500 sq ft structure that presents as a model; WELL APPOINTED plus everything works, with an abundance of sundries, spices, even coffee; STUNNING BEACH/PIER VIEWS (panoramic) from large, furnished, & PRIVATE ROOFTOP PATIO complete with BBQ/Fridge/Sink; GARAGE & CARPORT for 2 vehicles; STEPS TO BEACH, PIER, BAY, & a plethora of restaurants/shops, etc., so no vehicle required; Last but not least, ANTHONY’s A GREAT HOST-readily available & very amicable. WE LOVED every aspect of THE BEST VACATION RENTAL we’ve had so far-CAN’T WAIT TO GO BACK!!!

Our second time at the property - we returned as we like it so much! Quiet and private, yet only 20 feet from the beach front. Close to amenities - Pavilions supermarket, Chipotle for great food, and Handels for awesome ice-cream! We hope to return in the future!

Great space close to the beach. Plenty of room- we had 4, could easily accommodate more. Walkable to restaurants and shops. You do have to cross a busy road to get to the beach, but not a huge problem.

We had a beautiful 5 days at Ann’s place. We are hosts ourselves and still everything exceeded our expectations. We partied on the beach with friends but absolutely loved the 9pm quiet time. So nice not to have loud parties and beach activity disturbing our zen. We could enjoy the sunsets in peace and tranquility. We are already planning our next years trip. 5+++ stars for Anna and her family, we felt right at home!

Would rent again. Perfect 2 bed, 1 bath blocks from the beach and downtown restaurants and shopping.

The Newport Beach house was great in every way, clean and walkable to everything Newport Beach has to offer! A great place for a family of 4!

The house in Balboa Island is a little gem. Super comfortable, warm (we had a couple of cool days), with everything we needed to feel at home (even a French coffeemaker and coffee grinder!). The rooms provided privacy (important when staying with three 18 years old women chatting and listening to music nonstop!) and we could do our laundry too. Ed was a magnificent host, responding immediately and offering good suggestions on the surroundings. The island is just gorgeous!

Wonderful location within walking distance to shops, restaurants, a library, a playground, and beach. We loved heading out on foot to grab coffee and walk to the ocean, or to the beach along the canal which was so close and uncrowded. Great shower, washer and dryer in the unit, kind and responsive hosts. The window a/c units in each bedroom provided nice climate control. We were very comfortable and would’ve liked to have stayed longer. There is some road noise at night from the close proximity to 2nd street, and cars must be moved on Thursday/Friday due to street sweeping, but I was able to find parking a few blocks away on 2nd St, so I would suggest doing that rather than looking in the neighborhoods.

We absolutely loved this beach house! It’s away from the hustle and bustle but close to some really great restaurants and the coolest little liquor store. My kids (12 and 14) loved riding the bike’s provided by the host all over town, riding to shops and the fun zone on Balboa Peninsula! The home location is literally one house away from the sand with a beautiful ocean view. It was so easy to park and there is a grass area for our two dogs. The home itself was so cute, beds were comfortable, everything worked, plenty of towels and supplies, open floor plan, and tons of natural light. The host was super responsive before and during our stay and we loved all of the beach stuff in the garage (surf boards, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas). We stayed a week and had a great time - can’t wait to go back! Thank you Sean!

Our family stayed at Gina's place while there for Disneyland. It was so nice being able to walk right to the parks everyday. We also needed an early check-in and she was so flexible with us! It was great having a clean relaxing place after the long days at Disney parks.

The house is so close to lax airport and was very close to my aunts house. Soooooo many amenities in the house! Pool was refreshing, lots of comfortable patio furniture, comfortable beds, lots of games, books, many movies. Maria was so prompt to answer questions (thank you so much)!! Would stay here again without a doubt!! ❤️

Jen’s place was perfect—clean, well-stocked with everything I needed, and exactly as described. She was super responsive, kept me informed throughout the stay, and was flexible with an early check-in which I really appreciated. Great experience all around!

This property was beautiful and the neighborhood was very peaceful. We had eight people in our party and we had plenty of space. We had everything we needed at the house. Definitely worth the price and would stay again!!

The place look exactly like the pictures yet somehow better! Perfect for a getaway with kids - we didn’t need to bring absolutely anything for our 4 and 1.5 year olds. It is very clean - surprising for an Airbnb, it felt like we were home. The pool is great, the kitchen is nicely stocked, the kids room is perfect. We watched the fireworks right from the house - it’s got a perfect view. I don’t have a single even somewhat negative or cautious thing to say. We looooved it!
