Tim is simply the best host and beyond that a remarkable person to meet. He made our stay at his place a joyful experience we now long to repeat. The house is perfectly located and has the most beautiful sunset view from the region. Also completely furnished. Our two months there working and exploring as digital nomads was filed with everything we needed. Internet, comfort, kitchen, communication, location, maintenance, support… 5 stars for every detail. Thank you for everything Tim! We hope to come back soon!

Perfect getaway spot in beautiful Hermanus! The location is fantastic –private, and close to town (walking distance). The firewood hot tub was such a treat, and the host was incredibly welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay, falling asleep to the sounds of the waves. The place is very walkable to the cute little town and the walking path is great. I love Greta’s style. The place is so well decorated and cozy. I’ve already passed along the details to friends and would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay. The house is well located in Hermanus, very close to the beach (only a few mins before you ca dip your toes in the water) and there's a lovely beach bar/restaurant called 'Dutchies' at a stone throw distance. What really was my highlight was the amazing braai and the long table in the courtyard. You can truly throw a nice braai here!

My husband and I stayed at The Birdhouse for our 22nd wedding anniversary weekend. We love it there. Everything in the garden and accommodation is so thoughtfully and tastefully arranged, down to the smallest detail. The peaceful, aptly-named Birdhouse is a perfect base from which to explore Stanford. It was an easy walk from the house to the river and through the village to the Saturday market and various shops along the main road like Stanford Kitchen (where we had delicious coffees and the best pastéis de nata), Klein River Cheese Shop (where we tasted several cheeses, including an amazing oak-smoked Stanford), and Madre for a wonderful Sunday breakfast. It was great to braai when we arrived on Friday night. We slept very well in the total dark on a very comfortable bed. The hot shower works well. Kitchen well-equipped. Saturday night we drove to Springfontein Wine Estate, less than ten minutes away, for a superb dinner. Service was excellent there - and everywhere in Stanford.

We had such an incredible stay at Rene's place! Great location, clean, and really kind and helpful host. We loved the outdoor shower! Walking distance to the rock pools and beach and a short drive to Hermanus and the town. We can't wait to come back to visit.

Epic stay at a beautiful place. Good comms with India in the run up and Anton helpful during our stay. He also cooked us a beautiful roast lamb dinner which we highly recommend. 5 stars all round. The house is perfectly situated, yes it is a bit tired in places but it only adds to the charm. The beds are comfy and the bathrooms in good condition and the garden an absolute gem. Don't hesitate to book

Fantastic place to stay if you want to get away from it all. Jacobus was a very responsive host and always available if we needed anything. we really enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again! The only thing I'd mention is the road there is a little bumpy - it might be harsh on smaller cars.

Lovely beach house in a superb location, only a very short walk to the beach. Well suited for 2 larger families or 3 smaller families traveling together. All amenities were fully stocked. What was particularly nice is that most of the bedrooms had en suite bathrooms which is helpful for those with teenagers or slightly older children.

Thelma's accommodation ticked every possible box. The day before checking in she sent all details including a weather report! The room is beautifully furnished and cared for, with all that anyone could need in terms of utensils and crockery, even including an airfryer. Thelma and Alan were very friendly, always available if needed but otherwise we were very private. They had thought of everything and it seemed like there was a treat or surprise around every corner, yoghurt in the fridge, milk and rusks, and more. We only stayed one night, but it was too short and I sincerely hope we will return. I can't recommend enough.

I hosted a bachelors weekend at Taylor's farmhouse over a long weekend and we had an incredible time. The house comfortably slept 10 of us and had everything a bachelors group needs and more for this type of weekend - a massive braai, big outdoor dining table, loads of couches, seating, cushions etc., a river to swim in and kayak down and much more! The area surrounding the farmhouse is beautiful, private and quiet but close enough to Stanford (5 mins drive) where you don't feel completely isolated. Taylor as a host was incredible - he was extremely responsive whenever I messaged him and sent me comprehensive instructions and info about the accommodation via PDF before we arrived. If I ever stayed overnight in Stanford again it'd be hard to stay anywhere else but this farmhouse! Highly recommend it, thanks Taylor!

This Place is absolutely beautiful! The communication with Adri & Simba was super easy. It's located in the middle of nature with amazing panoramic view and the hottup is the perfect way to end the day with a beautiful sunset! Just a heads up the road to get there is pretty bumpy - but it's definitely worth it! We had a great time.

We really enjoyed our time at the cottage. it was quiet and peaceful but close enough to all major sites and lots of restaurants. The cottage is well furnished and has more than everything you could need for a shor or long stay. The garden and patio are well furnished and make for a relaxing chill spot after a long day of sightseeing. Our pets were also well accommodated for and had a wonderful time playing in the garden.

Kyle’s place is absolutely incredible! The views alone are worth the stay—truly breathtaking. The house itself is spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained. Everything was fresh and inviting, from the clean linens to the lovely scent throughout the home. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, which made our stay even more comfortable. Kyle was an outstanding host—extremely responsive and helpful, always quick to reply to any questions we had. Great studio apartment with everything you need. Safe and secure parking. Amazing view!!! Was also great to have such a clean and organised kitchen with a full-size fridge Hand soap etc. Is provided but do bring your own shampoo and conditioner. We were silly and somehow missed that there was no air conditioning. Fans provided. And mountain side has a lovely cool breeze but there aren't Flyscreens to keep the mosquitoes out so something to keep in mind if you are a hot sleeper. Wonderful stay. Thanks!
