Places to stay in Henley-on-Thames

Alison was a wonderful host, there to greet us and she had already given us recommendations for the area. She showed us around her house explaining where everything is. The house book has all the instructions in it. The photos of the house do not do it justice, the house is so well designed with superb views. Wildlife watching from the terrace is a must! Every amenity has been thought of and we did not want to leave the house. However on venturing out there are plenty of walks from the house, or Marlow and Bray are not too far away with all of their famous restaurants. An exceptional location with Clivedon not too far away. We will be back, we had a wonderful time and cannot recommend Alison’s house highly enough.

Everything about our stay was perfect! From the croissants left for breakfast to the private jacuzzi. If you want a private, peaceful getaway but with a 5 star feel then this is the place for you!

it was perfect for my needs. To get into Wallingford town there's a dark but safe 10 minute walk down a country path and another 10 minutes over the bridge. But obviously you can drive too! Great hosts.

Our stay at the Oak Barn at Hedsor was wonderful. The lodging itself is beautiful with large bedrooms and a huge sitting and dining area upstairs beneath the large oak beams. The location worked well as it allowed us to explore the Thames Valley and make two day trips into London. The estate property is beautiful, so do walk and note the different trees and plantings. We highly recommend this property and the people who live and work there.

The barn is beautiful and very well fitted out. Fabulous setting, absolutely stunning and super peaceful and quiet. The one bathroom was challenging at times with a party of adults but the rest of the barn is faultless and such a joy to stay in. The tennis court and other amenities were fabulous.

This is a lovely old property that has been beautifully modernised inside. It is in a great location just a few minutes walk from the high street. The availability of a parking space was an added bonus. Andrew And Emily were fantastic, friendly hosts. Great communication throughout, nothing was too much trouble and they very kindly left a welcome pack with the necessary essentials of bread, milk, butter and wine!! We would highly recommend staying here and will hopefully do so when we return to Marlow.

Clare is an amazing host. She is warm, friendly and a brilliant communicator.

Lovely place and lovely hosts. We were traveling with an e-wheelchair and after clarification of the size and measures everything worked out very well. The entrance seemed challenging, but at our arrival we realized that the hosts provided a perfectly fitting self made wooden ramp, which allowed for a smooth and convenient entrance to the apartment. At our arrival a welcoming package was waiting for us. The apartment is very nice in a calm neighborhood. For walking, hiking and enjoying the nature it is perfect. The connection towards London takes a bit, but is very well accessible and connected. Would book again!

Awesome place for my colleague and I to stay the night whilst on a course. The information folder was VERY detailed and the place itself was clean and tidy. Checkin was seamless.

We have had the most lovely weekend at Eveleen’s place. It is such a lovely apartment, everything you need and great shower, fabulous sofa bed! lovely walk to Henley on Thames. Loads of great shops in the town. It was perfect for our weekend catch up 😊

Lovely house, with a great outdoor space in a beautiful area. Plenty of room for all the family to enjoy. Close to a local pub and village store there’s everything you need for a short stay.

This cottage right in the center of Henley is superb, everything has been chosen with care, taste and love ! Sarah is really nice and very prompt to answer , great communication during our relaxing stay ! We are really happy of this wonderful and magic place! A lovely hideaway after a long working day and before a travel day. It was incredibly peaceful set amongst Nick's lovely garden, I felt right at home. Little touches like fresh milk, tea, coffee and biscuits were really appreciated. My only wish is that I could have stayed longer and explored the area more! Thank you Nick!

Great stay, I recommend it. Very close to the thames and the beautiful city center. We came for the Spartan race, and it was perfect location-wise. We should've stayed a day longer to appreciate the surroundings more!

Fiona’s place is truly wonderful, it was great for a short escape from London - very peaceful. Lovely walks around, and easily reachable without a car from Reading Train station (taxis available). The barn is very clean and comfortable, and Fiona is a great host. We enjoyed our breakfast hamper too. All in all a lovely stay!
