Sussex Cottage & Artists Haven

ChiaraRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The cottage was fantastic. Cosy and unique, with absolutely anything you need. Felt like being in the countryside, but still walking distance from town. Also walking distance from the woods and lovely walks. Petra was incredibly helpful and nice, always available and responsive. She also put together a manual with all the information, the history of the cottage and much more. Will definitely book again in future.
An outdoor patio area is highlighted, featuring a stone circular seating space and a small table with two chairs. Colorful flowers in pots adorn the surroundings, offering a view of the lush green lawn and hedges, complemented by trees in the distance.

Garden Rooms

TimRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The garden room / kitchen, bedroom and bathroom are arranged in a U shape, the bedroom is down two steps from the kitchen and the bathroom accessed from the bedroom through a large utility room shared with the hosts. All the rooms are recently fitted out to a high standard and beautifully decorated. The place was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Amanda and Mike met us when we arrived and saw us off when we left. The garden room faces east, so can be lovely and sunny in the morning, one highlight is the great pastoral view across a large field with sheep grazing and wild deer foraging. We had a very peaceful stay.

One-bed, luxury eco-home with stunning views

GiuliaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Robert and Natasha’s place is an absolute gem! If you’re looking for a British countryside experience you cannot miss this location! You will find yourself nestled away in the middle of the glades and have your private space, yet the owners property is close enough for them to be available if anything is needed. We loved the nature and the walks (which the host also provides maps for) and how friendly the whole village was as well. A big plus is also Robert and Natasha literally opened their doors to us, introducing us to the hens and their dogs and making us feel super welcome! We loved our time at their Airbnb and we will for sure go back to unplug from the big city!

Natural light fills the room through a large window adorned with sheer curtains. A chest of drawers in light wood is positioned beside the window, with a small vase of dried flowers atop it. Exposed wooden beams enhance the ceiling's rustic charm.

This is a fantastic property, very spacious and has a very handy path to the local village through the fields. Sue was great with check-in instructions and provided tea and coffee, which was a lovely touch. I would highly recommend staying here and would come again !
A garden pathway leads through lush greenery, with a variety of plants lining the sides. A small, charming building is visible in the background, complemented by colorful flowers and decorative items scattered throughout the space, creating a serene outdoor setting.

Nicks Nook

Great place to stay. I used it while on business in the local area and served my purposes well. It is next to a road as others have said but the place is well insulated and was quite acceptable.
A spacious balcony features modern seating arrangements with two blue chairs and a round table. Lush green views extend into the distance, where fog lingers over the landscape, as warm sunlight gently illuminates the morning sky.

Mayfield itself is a charming, quaint village with a welcoming atmosphere, where you can slow down, enjoy a peaceful walk and feel right at home, It’s definitely recommended and I can’t fault it in any way.
