Family-friendly vacation rentals in Heemskerk

The location was great, walking distance to trains and trams to get to the heart of Amsterdam. Far enough away to be quiet for nights in. Nancy was very communicative even though she was on holiday. Easy parking if you drive in and plenty of space for 5, especially if someone doesn’t mind the couch. Would be great for 3 couples. Amazing showers 😁

We were here for the second time and it is and remains a paradise for children and parents! So warm, so much attention to detail, so child-friendly. Especially the time in the pool and with the animals will be remembered for a long time! We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Fred and Kelly’s place is absolutely wonderful. We stayed because the price was better and there was a little more room than many places directly in the city. Though we looked forward to it, we didn’t expect to fall in love with it…and we did! Staying outside of the city is pretty great. It’s a 10ish minute walk to the train station, and then an easy navigation to wherever you need to go. We didn’t mind the “commute” a bit, and it was nice to start off and wind down in a quieter setting. The place itself is well kept, clean, and cozy. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure. We enjoyed casting Netflix on the TV with the fireplace on in the evenings, and we spent a couple of mornings in the garden. We booked this spot our entire stay, but also spent one night in Amsterdam to experience “city life,” and also spent one night in Utrecht. These were perfect additions to our home base plan. I’d definitely stay here again!

We stayed in the apartment for a weekend and felt very comfortable. With the bikes you could easily reach the nearby metro station and we had a good time in Amsterdam. The landlords were very friendly and always easily accessible. I highly recommend this place for Amsterdam stays.

Upon arrival we were kindly greeted by Marcel, a nice and friendly man. The house was clean, tidy and well maintained. The wifi worked great and there was a clear explanation for everything, which was very convenient. The location is wonderfully remote, so you do not suffer from neighbors and you feel completely free. We will definitely come back here again!

This yurt and everything around it is so incredibly wonderful! The hosts are super warm and great, we had 100% privacy and yet the feeling that there is always someone there who cares. The surroundings offer a lot of peace, you can unwind and watch the animals around you all day and the stars at night. And if you need a little more action, there are bicycles you can pack to explore the area and the sea. The yurt has everything you need to feel comfortable. Games, record player, a great kitchen, clean and luxurious bathroom and shower, lots of chill options inside and outside and the private hot tub on the terrace makes everything almost too perfect. We really have nothing to complain about, it was just great!! Thanks so much :)

Our team of 6 people, business travel after one night, 1, the owner of the house proactively communicated to confirm the arrival time, it was planned to arrive at 8:30, the actual arrival was 9:30 -10, with 1 hour notice, the host was very patient; 2, There is a tree house and a swing in the house; 3. Easy parking🅿️; 4. Surrounded by 2.5km sea and beach, there are shells on the beach🐚, which is suitable for walking to see the beach🏖️;

Plenty of room, quiet neighborhood. The M5 bus made our commute to Train then Amsterdam easier. (Approx 1 hour). Loved the 2 free bikes available for us to use. The sauna was a lovely bonus to use at night to relax. Moniek’s was resourceful and actively answering our questions. Alot of gadget in the house, no cable on TV so it was hard for my elderly parents to figure out how to use an intelligent tv with Netflix and all but we managed differently. Area was really nice close to the house but Almere centrum gets a bit suspicious at night so be aware to not be a women alone at night coming back -even locals fidy not recommended.

This place is so adorable! It has an amazing terrace, and right in the center of the city with so much to do. The place was so comfortable and had all the amenities we would have needed. I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking to explore Amsterdam!

Absolutely Wonderful Stay at the Farm with Patries and Mike! We had the most amazing time staying at Patries and Mike’s farm. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed and at home. Patries and Mike are truly exceptional hosts – warm, generous, and full of heart. You can feel how much love and care they put into their place and into every guest they welcome. The farm itself is a little slice of paradise. Surrounded by nature, animals, and peace, it’s the perfect spot to unwind, slow down, and reconnect with what really matters. We loved waking up to the sounds of birds – and especially the proud rooster announcing each new day with great enthusiasm! There’s a real sense of authenticity and warmth here that’s hard to put into words – you simply have to experience it. Thank you, Patries and Mike, for opening your hearts and your home to us. We left with full hearts, new inspiration, and the feeling that we had just spent time with old friends. We can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful family home and welcoming hosts-highly recommend for families! Hosts were so helpful in recommending nearby restaurants, offering tips for the transit system etc. I wish we had spent more time enjoying their home during this trip to visit Amsterdam as the home is a gem-the outdoor spaces are lovely. The movie projector screen and large collection of movies was so fun to use. The home is in an ideal location to use as a home base to access nearby Amsterdam or the even closer and very charming town of Zaanse Schans.

We had a great stay at this apartment! Everything was very clean, tastefully decorated and furnished with a lot of love for detail. We felt comfortable right from the beginning. The location was ideal – quiet but still central, so we could easily reach everything. We particularly liked the warm communication with the host- always friendly, helpful and reliable. A small note: the stairs to the apartment are – typical of this beautiful old building – a bit steep. It wasn't an issue for us, but you should know. We would love to come back anytime and can absolutely recommend the place!

Tatjana is a very warm host, she showed us the house and gave many tips for the area. Our 3-night stay at Tatjana's house was very nice. There was nothing missing. Communication was also flawless. Tatjana responded very quickly and we felt very well taken care of. The location right next to the lighthouse (good orientation aid😊) was simply fantastic. It was very quiet and yet you were 2 minutes away from the beach or the shopping mile with lots of shops, restaurants and cafes. We were also very pleased with the private parking. We highly recommend this sweet accommodation and would love to come back.

We stayed with the kids for a week. The beach was a great walk. Were also in the zoo, butterfly house and on the largest playground in Europe. Everything was reachable in 20-45 minutes. Highly recommended. Beautiful area, super nice people, also in the restaurants with the little ones. I'd love to come back :)

Great little vacation home including best equipped kitchen we ever had. Beautiful garden!

Great place and great hosts. We had a lot of fun and felt comfortable. The accommodation was accessible by boat and we could go shopping by boat. It was a real adventure. The accommodation and the pool were clean. Everything worked out for us ☀️

We had some lovely days in the bungalow, the camp site has lots to do for kids, and the beach is beautiful. Good place for 4 adults and 2 kids in the bunk bed. Will come back

At Wendela and Martin you have a lovely quiet (private) place. They live on the road themselves, but behind they have built a cottage with everything you need. Also a private terrace where it was wonderful to spend the evening. Wendela and Martin are very friendly, warm welcome with delicious strawberries and cold drinks in the fridge. The cottage is full of comforts and has good beds and a nice shower. We were looking for a place to stay because our son participated in the Ironman 70.3 and then this place is definitely recommended. But it is also a good base to take beautiful bike rides. We have therefore had a number of wonderful days.

The house boat was just as it looked in the pictures! It was very spacious and comfortable for our family of 4. It was perfect how the kids sort of had their side, or wing, and my husband and I had our space in the master bedroom, on the other side. We all slept very well! We loved the cats, Skip & Bo. We are animal people, so it was fun having them come and go, and socialize and snuggle with us! The views were amazing and there were plenty of spots to just chill when we weren't out exploring. The house boat was very walkable to many fun spots and different areas. We definitely felt like we were staying in someone's home versus a rental. Enjoyed all of the personal touches in the kitchen as well! We would go back in a heartbeat and recommend Joost's place without hesitation!

Fabulous place just outside of Utrecht. Perfect for biking, walking, and running. Peaceful atmosphere. Great host. Very nice and engaging. Highly recommend it!

Evelien was wonderful, kind and helpful. The apartment was just as it was described and the pictures are what you enter as well! Perfect apartment for us and our little girl 15 months old. the bed was soooo comfortable! the apartment was clean and well looked after. we didn't hear any noise apart, it was incredibly peaceful.

We spent a lovely, relaxing long weekend at Madeleen‘s place, a cute apartment in a charming old house with a gorgeous garden directly by the Ijsselmeer. While there is no proper kitchen, Madeleen provides everything you need to make yourself a coffee or a sandwich, with a coffeemaker and a large fridge at your disposal. There is a pretty good restaurant in walking distance, and quite a few more a short car drive away. Getting to Amsterdam is easy, and after a busy day in the city, the garden and the quiet are absolutely wonderful, as is a quick dip in the cool water. Madeleen‘s friend Anna welcomed us and was a perfect hostess who we very much enjoyed chatting with. We had a great time and hope to visit again sometime soon. Thanks for everything!

We had such a great time at Laura’s Airbnb! While it was a long walk to the heart of Amsterdam, there are so many public transportation options close by and they are so easy to navigate. The neighborhood is gorgeous and we would definitely stay again!
