Waterfront vacation rentals in Haywood County

We absolutely enjoyed your place! Sharon and Anna were excellent host and very supportive! The apartment lacked nothing! It was so peaceful and relaxing! We loved the trail around the whole lake and walked it each day! The location is very convenient to anything you would like to do in the mountains! We have no problem recommending this AirBNB location or the host, Sharon and Anna! Thank you for a great few days!

The place is very nice, from the creek to relax in front of or the hot tub to get into:) Our weekend started warm then went colder and the fireplace in the house gets the place warm. The area is quiet. We had two ducks going around feeding and getting ready to nest. An eagle flew through and tried to get the ducks, they dove a couple times and the eagle left to go fishing. The area is mostly free from the damages of Helene. Plenty of birds coming and going all day:)

We had an amazing time at loriel and Adam’s place. While the weather was windy/cold and we lost power for a few hours due to weather, the views were breathtaking. The house was only steps from a beautiful walking trail around the lake, and only minutes from shopping/restaurants in Waynesville. Even under these circumstances, loriel and Adam were very communicative. Highly recommend this place!

Fantastic trip. We have stayed in several Airbnb's in our travels and this one was far superior to the others. If you plan on visiting the Waynesville or Lake Junaluska area we highly recommend this Airbnb. Great views and very peaceful. Sharon and her daughter Ana were great hosts. Looking forward to our next visit.

Charity is the most amazing host, the house is perfect and the river is so beautiful to just sit and watch. This was our second stay, and again the house, the amenities, the cleanliness is just perfect. Can’t wait for the next stay, thank you so much, so look forward to being there again!!! This property was perfect for a winter getaway. The home is lovely, the neighborhood is charming and the surroundings are nature at its best. We like to prepare our own meals and the well equipped kitchen met all our expectations. The fireplace provided such a nice comfy feeling. Although it was not the right time of the year to indulge in spending time on the spacious porch, being so close to the river added to the peaceful mood created by the home's interior environment. We enjoyed the opportunity to take long walks in the surrounding area. And it was a plus to have any needed services close by. This would most certainly be a place we would consider revisiting.

I can't say enough good things about our experience. This dreamy cottage is perfectly cozy with the most beautiful location and breathtaking views. I have stayed in many Airbnb's, and Lara is by far the best host I have ever come across. Not only is every detail of her place pristine... her love for this place and attention to detail so obvious... she is beyond kind, compassionate, thoughtful and gracious in her hospitality. She worked with our schedule of driving from FL with 3 kids, letting us check in early and check out late. She went above and beyond in making sure we had everything we need for a comfortable stay. We even had a freak accident with the fire pit and damaged 2 of her chairs, and she handled it was grace and understanding. Airbnb would be much better off with more hosts like Lara. If you are undecided where to stay for your North Carolina Smoky Mountain trip... let this be your sign to just book with Lara. You will be so glad you did.

The place is exactly as described. Very close to WCU and worked out great during move in day. Relaxing place to stay.

Wow, I am absolutely blown away! This was such an incredible stay! 🌿🏡 Kevin & Linda are the kindest, most caring, and genuinely loving hosts—you can tell their heart is in everything they do. 💛 The pups were precious, and their sweet old girl, Ruth Ann, even joined us on most of our hikes, which made the experience even more special. 🐾 The home was gorgeous, the bed was super comfy, and the WiFi was fast—but honestly, we LOVED having no service outside the house. It made the trip feel like a true reset from the outside world. And can we talk about that bath?! 😍 Omg, yes please. The hiking trails were incredible, the provided map was crystal clear (with extras just in case), and town was just 35 minutes away—super easy to find based on their directions. To top it all off, they even let us try some fresh farm eggs from their chickens, which was such a thoughtful touch. We’re heading home feeling refreshed, recharged, and overflowing with gratitude. 🥰 Already planning our next

This was a perfect house for our family basically all one level. Great outdoor space indoor high end for each room and very clean and well cared for. Appreciated all the items available for us to use. Grateful for the time at this place with family

The Riverhouse never disappoints. Amazing view and access to the river (literally the backyard). The house makes you feel like it is the home away from home. I highly recommend staying here for a any getaway.
