Of course we were blessed with good weather. That said this location was perfect for a couple of days out of Auckland. Wonderful view over the estuary. Margaret was very helpful without being obtrusive. Would be very happy to recommend this to others.

We came to Hamilton for a water polo tournament and needed somewhere close to the pools. Anna gave really clear, honest info about how far we were from Cambridge and Hamilton City. The expressway to Cambridge was super handy—just up the road and easy to access—and the city felt so close even though you’re not right in the middle of everything. It was private, peaceful, and felt very safe. Our kids LOVED the pool, the spa bath, and of course, the cinema—such a cool set-up! The beds were divine. And having two coffee machines was such a treat! Anna left plenty of pods and little staples to make it an easy, convenient stay. But honestly, the standout was Anna’s communication—always responsive and so helpful when we needed to sort a few logistics. I can absolutely see why people LOVE this place and leave such great reviews. We’ll definitely be recommending it to others and really hope we can come back again! Thank you, Anna!

An absolutely fantastic place to unwind! Mark was incredibly accommodating, with excellent communication throughout. The location is stunning—perfect for both relaxation and adventure. If you have dogs, they’ll love it just as much as we did! The views are breathtaking, especially at sunrise. Plus, with Waipu and Langs Beach just a short drive away, there are plenty of great spots to explore. The Waipu Glow Worm Caves, only five minutes away, are a must-visit. Thanks again for an amazing stay!"

Tania and Andy are amazing hosts, very friendly and helpful. The Moon Lodge is one of a kind, the details and all the little things were above and beyond. The outside tub is set in a beautiful sea of flowers and plants, soaking in the tub under the stars was truly magical. House was very clean. Kitchen was well stocked has stove/oven, large fridge, outdoor grill, everything you need to make your own meals easily. The bathroom was large and luxurious and stocked with lots of towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toilet paper etc. Bed was very comfortable with nice quality linens. The location and place were very comfortable, quiet, and relaxing. We will definitely be back!

We had a few wonderful days at the chalet. Incredibly peaceful and well appointed. We highly recommend it for a luxurious retreat surrounded by birdsong.

We love our stay at Greg's place. It's a great place to stay with the family who likes privacy and calming surrounding. It's close to town and beach, love the spa and pool although it was ice cold during our stay but I bet it was great on a more sunny day 😅 Overall, its worth the rate and love it!

The hosts were very helpful and the accommodation was lovely with a great fresh pine smell. It is very close to the beach and I loved falling asleep to the sound of waves on the shore. The morning shower was lovely with good pressure for an on-demand hot water system. Everything we needed was provided for a great stay.
